74 Chapter 68
After a night of no action, Wang was rather gloomy during the following 'day'. His mood clearly evident to the rest of the party as he glared about at them. Though they weren't really sure what they had done wrong? What more the beauty from the day before seemed even more off put. Not only had they ignored everyone else, they refused to leave the tent!
Wang unable to stand his babies cold shoulder stormed off to go and search for food, as well as new herbs to coax the little guy back into being happy with him. Other wise, he would surly not get anymore loving until he got rid of the eyesores now surrounding them. His departure caused a few other members to drift away from camp in order to 'explore' with similar ideas. It wasn't like they'd be able to do anything else.
Those who stayed at the camping site were Hua, one of the two females as well as a male. The party of three remained, as to 'keep an eye' on the camp. Though they weren't really sure of the 3 new members, the sects group wouldn't feel to safe leaving Hua alone within the camp when her 'history' proved otherwise. What more, the beauty in the tent was even more mysterious as they remained hidden away!
Hua half wanted to barge into Wang's tent and deal with the unwanted party, however Wang had made sure to 'block' the entrance with an array. Not only could unwanted members not enter, she couldn't even hear anything from inside the tent! That damn fox must be plotting inside…
Hua had only one thought, to expose the beast for what it was! However, she couldn't just blab about it without some kind of proof. Wang would surly pit her words against herself, if she didn't have a way to prove that what she had said was true. Thus Hua focused her day on trying to figure out how to prove her self as the proper one, and Ai as the one to bewitch Wang.
Her thought logic was simple, if Ai wasn't around, Wang would of surly been happy to be with her! He clearly was bewitched by the damn demon! Otherwise what man would be happy to serve a Spiritual Beast? Regardless of their looks, they still shouldn't be wooed!
The female, Hing Ming, and the male, Xhau Bing, had been keeping an eye on Hua while cultivating off to the side near their respective sleeping areas. The girls dark thoughts seemed to move around her in a negative aura that caused both parties to feel alarmed. Why was the girl claiming to be the victim holding such malice thoughts?!
Clearly she was the one they needed to worry about after all? Giving one another a knowing look, they silently went back to cultivating. It wasn't like they could really do anything to her until she acted out those thoughts. Until then, they would just need to keep an eye on her. Hopefully nothing to wrong would happen.
If all else fails at least, they would just push all the blame onto her. She clearly wasn't acting proper after all!
When the night came, Ai finally left the tent. His baring was slightly lax and pitiful appear. In his foul mood, he'd overused his spiritual energy and was currently suffering a backlash. Skin slightly paled, hair a bit tangled with slightly ruffled clothing. The males all glanced at him with pity. Clearly whatever the beauty had been doing was tiring!
Wang was still trying to coax his lovely wife, personally cooking the little fox all the yummy foods he could eat, while also lightly patting the others head in a soothing way. "You over did it again." he lightly complained, drifting some of his own cultivation into the other, to help remedy the shortage.
The caring action made those present feel a bit embarrassed at the dog food being sprinkled out. Hua's own expression dark with annoyance as she glared at the two love birds. Clearly she should be the one being pampered! Really to hateful. The look she was given, had completely been exposed to the rest of the group, who all secretly labeled her as a crazed loose woman who wanted to break apart a clearly good relationship!
They time slowly passed on as each member did their own thing, no one really wanting to involve themselves where they didn't belong. It wasn't until an eerie wail seeped over the campgrounds. It was as light but caused ones skin to fill with goosebumps while they shuttered.
Each persons gaze turned to look out into the soft glowing crystal forest with a feeling of dread while wondering what could of made that horrid sound. The silence that followed the wail wasn't all that calming either. Each person had an understanding look with one another before they all stood up.
Wang led the way with Ai at his side, the party slowly making their way to where the sound had come from. Outside of the small critters that they ate for meals, nothing else was found within the cave, so whatever made that sound was an unknown threat! They needed to see what it was!
However, after walking for a good while, the only thing they found was another strange crack within the cave wall. Much like the one that they had used to arrive in this lower area. However unlike the first one that Wang and Ai hid in, It had a weird wetness to it. Soft dripping water leaked from the sides and top of the crack.
The space was only big enough for one person to fit. Chu Sui glanced at the group around her, before slowly walking forward. Though she wasn't that brave. She was rather thirsty. The water source they had found had a strange taste so she wouldn't drank much of that water.
She was hoping this water would be less foul! Thus she dared to enter the little cave, cupping some of the water to take a sip of it.
The rest started at her with a look of confusion before the crack swiftly shut closed in a fast manor. Only a soft muffled cry sounded before silence once more took over. The only thing left to show the crack had been there, was the soft pool of a red liquid pooling at the base of the wall, where it met the floor.
