28 Silence

We decided to wait for the twins to wake up. I couldn't exit this place anyway. I wondered if You Ye would be ok, would many time pass while I'm stuck in my own plane or world? I didn't know exactly how to call it, but I had a guess of some sort on what exactly was this.

I wasn't feeling really comfortable with this old aged soul around, especially how weird it looked. It was ugly as hell.

I asked for its name so I could refer to its existence some way. His new name was Shallow, something that confused me. I thought everybody had Chinese names or nicknames unless it was a code name. So it picked my curiosity and so I asked...

"Why are you named Shallow?" I asked with my picked curiosity which was answered by a simple statement.

"Aren't you avoiding me because of your shallow?"

Indeed I only avoided him because of his external appearance. Guess I'm getting worse, sighs if my mother was alive, what would she say?

"I apologize," I said reflecting a bit on my attitude. Perhaps I went a bit overboard before.

"Don't worry, you are still young there are many things u don't know about this strange world. It's full of wonders. Shu Yi and Shu Er would be fine and they would greatly benefit. I recovered my sight and looked straight into Shallow eyes.

"It was you. These memories you were the one who enslaved all those souls. You showed me a true Soul Seal."

"That's right, that was a truly slaving soul seal. Now you realize how different is your sealing even though it has a more overbearing name." Shallow side with a big smile on his face.

"Right, it's indeed as you said. My Seal is totally different as if it has another purpose but... how did you know my the name of my seal?" I narrowed my eyes. Right, how did he know that... there was something going on.

"I was told its name by someone." He simply replied.

"By who?"

"I don't know."

"You don't know," I said raising my eyebrows. "Are you telling the truth? You are telling me you don't know... I told no one about it and you seem to know how special it is.." before I ended she replied to me.

"I truly don't know. It was just before we got teleported to this place a voice reached me, it told me the name of your seal and the information I just told you. Look if I wanted to lie to you, it would be not a good idea. Remember we are in your place and you have full control over it. My life is at your hands." Shallow smiled and closed his eyes pondering something.

If he is not lying then there is someone who knows what's going on with me, or could it be there is another being like me? Many thoughts and theories kept crossing through my mind. Again this time I sat cross-legged and started to go through all my memories to make sure I wasn't forgetting something.

My thoughts were elaborating some theories when I felt a pain on my arm. Slowly I turned my sight to see my arm. Something bit me, could it be the snake? But my snake was not here. I was on my soul form. I focused my mind and thoughts on that little snake curled on my arm. An immense and ancient snake appeared in front of me.

Wtf...

The Ancient Snake had white boned scales, they were beautiful yet at the same time, an aged aura emanated from them imposing its presence. The black eyes of the snake looked like black pearls, such purity of darkness reminded me of the time I was on the void. Those powerful forces who ripped our bodies back then. The presence seemed to threaten my domain yet it didn't I didn't feel danger at all. Our eyes met, there was a connection between us. I felt it, I could feel what she was feeling, it was a female. She was in pain, trying to be strong yet deep inside her she felt so weak but the worse of it wasn't that, it was the loneliness she felt, the passing ages she had on those aged white scales. It felt like an eternity, the huge Ancient Snake finally opened its mouth.

"You killed me, you killed my loneliness. I'm the last of my kind. Bound to have no descendence. You bestowed me a new life. A new chance. A new beginning. Everything happened because of you. Nor I hate you, neither I love you. Bound to walk alongside you for all eternity, no matter what. Treat me well, and I shall treat you well. This will be the first time we met and the last. With time you will understand."

After those words were said, it decreases in size returning to the cute baby snake I had in curled in my arm. What curled against my soul form was also the soul form of the baby snake. I recognized I was dumb sometimes and slow minded, her words truly confused me, but there was something I truly understood. Time Reversal. Someone had reversed her whole life into her very beginning! What was far worse and more scary... this wasn't a casual meeting the one who did it made sure she had time to say those words. I shivered turning my head to look at Shallow.

He shook his head.

Could it be the same being who told Shallow... a sudden pulse from the Death Core struck my mind a concrete memory popped up. I understood, back where I got the snake, back at the mountains. The random teleport. The incident where the System didn't know what happened and now Shallow...

If I didn't understand now I would be truly too stupid. It wasn't the case. I might not understand the purpose but I knew what was going on. Someone was pulling the strings!
