Chapter 56: Don’t Curse! Part Two

This wild boar was bigger than an ox. It walked slow, but each of its steps looked dominating.

It looked like the king of this forest that was patrolling its territory.

“It is time to go back,” Mr. Zhuo said to that wild boar.

However, it felt like this wild boar ignored him, and it was more interested in Fang Jie and the other two.

When this giant wild boar appeared, even the horses from Northern Liao that had seen many beasts shivered. Fang Jie’s red horse was doing better and only tapped its hooves, looking anxious. The other two white horses were so scared that they didn’t dare to move.

This wild boar didn’t look proud after scaring these three horses. It snorted twice as if it was telling the horses that it wasn’t interested in them. The way that this boar raised its head and looked arrogant made it expressive like a human.

Mr. Zhuo smiled in embarrassment and said, “Like what I just said; Little Flower doesn’t always listen to me.”

Then, he crawled onto the back of this wild boar clumsily and grabbed onto a handful of manes on its neck. Even though it was a wild boar and not a pig, the scene still looked strange when a person rode on it.

Fang Jie suddenly thought of something and wondered, “Does it feel better riding a boar compared to a horse?”

“What did you call it?” Da Quan looked at the giant wild boar alertly and asked.

Mr. Zhuo smiled with pride and replied, “Little Flower. Its name is Little Flower.”

Fang Jie’s red horse and Little Flower were traveling together not far apart from each other, and the other two horses followed behind obediently. If the boar walked fast, they would walk fast. If the boar walked slow, they wouldn’t dare to surpass it regardless of how Da Quan and Mu Xiaoyao tried to make them go fast.

Fang Jie praised in his mind, “Damn, this wild boar is a dominating existence. When it doesn’t move, other animals wouldn’t dare to go forward. When it moves, other animals wouldn’t dare not to move.”

“Mr. Zhuo, you mentioned earlier that His Majesty knows about me?”

After leaving the forest and getting onto the public road, Fang Jie couldn’t hold back his curiosity and asked the question.

Among everything that Mr. Zhuo had said in the forest, this caught Fang Jie’s attention the most.

“His Majesty knows me?” This was crucial to Fang Jie who wanted to establish himself in the Capital.

“Yeah, His Majesty knows you,” Mr. Zhuo answered casually.

“From where?” Fang Jie continued to ask.

“I don’t know; I only heard the Department Head mention it a few times. It seems like His Majesty appreciates you. If I remembered it right, you earned 21 counts of military merit in Fangu before coming to participate in the entrance exam of the Martial Arts Academy. It is known that soldiers could be recommended with five counts of military merit, and the Ministry of War will go through many selection processes to pick the most suitable candidates. You were only recommended to the Ministry of War after earning 21 counts of military merit. You shouldn’t need to go through the secondary selection process and could directly get the documents from the Ministry of War to participate in the entrance exam.”

“Huh?” Fang Jie froze for a second and cursed, “Li Xiaozong, you b*stard!”

Mr. Zhuo asked, “Li Xiaozong? The major of Fangu’s military?”

Fang Jie nodded with force and replied, “That guy told me I need at least 20 counts of military merit to participate in the entrance exam of the Martial Arts Academy!”

Mr. Zhuo paused for a second before laughing, “I thought you were able to withstand it and not participate in the secondary selection process in order to directly receive this opportunity.”
