Chapter 44: Eyes Part Three

Then, he rolled on the ground, adjusted his position, and leaped forward like a leopard.

He didn’t hide behind the carriage but dashed toward the assassins on one side. Beside him, many arrows stabbed into the road.

If he were half a second late, he would have been penetrated by three arrows.

Just as Fang Jie leaped toward the assassins, a red silk ribbon flew out of the compartment of the carriage like a python, coiling around the assassin who was the closest to Fang Jie.

Crack! The ribbon tightened around the assassin, and the latter died with many rib bones broken.

In the next second, Mu Xiaoyao dashed out of the carriage, and Da Quan had already broken an assassin’s neck.

In a short time, different people had different reactions. The guard of Cui Lueshang who had the highest cultivation strength kicked him off the horse and before jumping onto him, covering Cui Lueshang with his body.

After the arrow rain passed, Cui Lueshang’s four guards all died. The guard who protected Cui Lueshang had three arrows on his back and didn’t make it.

Xiang Qingniu dashed into the compartment of the carriage instantly.

Fang Jie continued to dash forward with his body lowered. Before an assassin could ditch the crossbow in his hand and grab his saber, Fang Jie’s saber struck forward and took off half of the assassin’s head.

Before this assassin could even scream and fall, Fang Jie dashed toward the second assassin.

At this moment, the second assassin ditched his crossbow and took out his saber.

However, he was too late.

Fang Jie’s saber slashed upward from an unthinkable angle, piercing through the assassin’s chin and appearing on top of his head. Then, Fang Jie twisted his wrist and pulled out the saber.

As the corpse fell, blood and brain matter slowly flowed out, looking viscous.

Fang Jie’s third strike directly cut open an assassin’s abdomen, and organs gushed out, looking like mud.

This assassin was charging toward Fang Jie, and he stepped onto his own organs and fell forward.

When Fang Jie killed three enemies, Mu Xiaoyao had killed seven, and Da Quan had killed six.

In terms of speed, it seemed like Fang Jie wasn’t much slower. After all, he didn’t have any cultivation strength!

This speed was insane. He didn’t look like a timid person who didn’t kill any bandits in Fangu. Instead, he was like a veteran who had been through many battles and crawled out of seas of corpses.

“Something is wrong!”

Da Quan jumped over and smashed through the chest of an assassin with his hand grasping half of that assassin’s heart.

“These assassins are too weak; they are ordinary warriors. They aren’t even level 1 masters.”

Fang Jie took off an assassin’s shoulder and dodged a saber strike before asking, “How come you didn’t smell the murderous spirit?”

Da Quan destroyed the arms of an assassin before kicking the latter away. “I don’t know as well!”

While Fang Jie and the other two were killing these assassins, Cui Lueshang was panicking as he looked at his guards who died protecting him, wasting his level 2 cultivation strength.

Xiang Qingniu who was hiding inside the compartment of the carriage whined, “Fang Jie! You b*stard! What is your background? How did you get on the opposite side of these most annoy people! Those who are targeted by them will die for sure!”

However, Fang Jie didn’t die this time.

After more than 20 assassins died, the man in the lead whistled and escaped. Da Quan and Mu Xiaoyao chased, and each captured an assassin. However, it was meaningless as these two assassins chewed the poison hidden in their teeth and committed suicide.

When Da Quan and Mu Xiaoyao wanted to chase others, about a dozen warhorses dashed out of the forest and helped the remaining assassins escape.

Fang Jie spat out a mouthful of spittle that was infused with blood and pulled Xiang Qingniu out of the horse-drawn carriage.

“Who are they?!”

Xiang Qingniu shivered in fear as his body softened. It wasn’t because of this assassination; it was because Fang Jie’s eyes were completely red.
