Chapter 4: Where is he? Part Two

“My name is Da Quan!”

“Got it, Da Gou.”

Fang Jie was confused. Although he stayed with them for 15 years, he didn’t know them that well.

He sat down and murmured, “Shang Guohen… what a good name. It has a sense of vicissitude. If others don’t see your face, you can trick a few naïve girls. However, you don’t like it. It is worse than Da Quan?”

“Da Quan is the name that Master gave him.” Mu Xiaoyao explained.

“Ok.” Fang Jie straightened his back and asked, “Tell me, who is this master that you talk about? What is his connection to me? I’m thankful that you two protected me all these years, but I don’t know why I’m being hunt down. Is it related to this master? If yes, then explain everything to me. I can’t be ignorant to my past anymore!”

“You are Fang Jie, the unique Fang Jie,” Da Quan said.

“Yeah, yeah.” Fang Jie shook his head and smile. “This is the 127th time that I asked this question, and you guys gave me the same answer 127 times. Yeah, I’m the unique Fang Jie. I’m Fang Jie who have two sickeningly-powerful martial arts masters around me, yet I can’t cultivate, right?”

After hesitating for a moment, he asked to confirm, “You two are sickeningly-powerful martial arts masters, right?”

Mu Xiaoyao shook her head, but Da Quan nodded.

“This…” Da Quan hesitated for a moment and said, “Don’t worry. I don’t believe that you can’t cultivate with your background. Even an ordinary person would have three to five opened qi-points out of the 128 qi-points. You don’t have any opened qi-points, which means that there is an issue. I just can’t figure it out. Don’t worry. When we get to Chang’an, we will find a good doctor for you.”

Fang Jie was at a loss for words. Then, he asked unwillingly, “You aren’t going to tell me who I am?”

“It isn’t the right time.” Da Quan shook his head and curled up behind the bookshelf. “At the right time, I will give you the sword box, and you will know everything.”

Fang Jie looked at the dirty greyish-black sword box in desperation. He tried to open that box at least 500 time since he was born, but he failed all attempts.

He moved his eyes from the sword box onto the account book before him. “What do I know other than making money?”

Mu Xiaoyao who was lying on the beam sighed and murmured to herself, “A total of 128 qi-points… it would be strange if any one of them opened…”

Then, she touched the item in her inner pocket; she had it for 15 years.

-Tens of thousands of kilometers away from Fangu City, a small fishermen village beside the Yangtze River-

There were about 15 corpses on the ground. They had same clothes but different wounds. If experienced forensic examiners were here, they would see at least four kinds of killing methods. Since more than 100 years ago, the world stabilized and ended the chaos era. Therefore, murder was uncommon.

Today, more than ten people died, so it had to be investigated.

Fang Henshui, the police chief from the town 15 kilometers away, squatted down to inspect the corpses.

The corpses all wore light-grey robes, and they didn’t have weapons.

Fang Henshui looked at the neck of one corpse and murmured, “Broken neckbone. Such grip strength! One murderer used a saber, and another one used a staff. What about the next one? Hammer? Ax?”

He turned around and saw a corpse with the face smashed in. The nose broke, the eyes popped out of the sockets, and all the teeth fell out. It must be a heavy weapon that caused this injury, but he couldn’t be sure what it was.

The contact area was too big to be a hammer or an ax.

It should be something flat and big. If a hammer struck someone’s face, the entire head would explode.

This corpse suddenly made Fang Henshui think of something – a palm leaf fan.

It seemed like a large iron palm leaf fan struck this corpse’s face.
