215 Back at Haven

With the power of the majority of the Hunters organization on their side, implementing something for the Hunters wasn't a big deal and it wasn't a problem.

With Lin alone, they have the control over the organization.

"So, you want all the Hunters to report to the guards every day?" Lin asked. "Isn't that too much?"

"From the missing reports so far, and through this, we can track how powerful is the enemy," Allen said. "We can just multiply their current power to five, and then we'll meet an estimate."

"I have no problems with that," Genesis said. "In fact, it is a good idea. The only problem we have here is if we can counter their power with our own."

"We can't let all of the Hunters in this," Sun said. "Especially the Haven Hunters. They'll be nothing but feeds to the people of Roger Huntsman."

"I am not trying to involve them here," Allen said. "If we really need the assistance of the Hunters, we can only recruit from the Eternity Hunters, the rest cannot fight against them."

Genesis narrowed his eyes, "What do you mean if we really need their assistance? Have you not considered hiring them from the start?"

"No," Allen grinned. "I believe with our current power, we can do this on our own. The only thing left was to not halt this fight any longer. If we prolong this, we are giving them the chance to gain more power."

"Then when will you start this battle?" Lin asked. "If we cannot prolong this, then the latest should be in a month."

Allen nodded. "Then we will have the fight against Roger Huntsman in a month. While we wait, I want everyone to do their own investigation. The more information we gather, the better. We can just piece them up all later."

The conference ended not long after. Allen was back in his room with Jeremy right by his side. They were on Earth so they had the luxury of watching television.

"Do you really think that we can win this?" Jeremy asked. "I don't mean to sound like I don't trust you, but Allen, this is the person who killed the strongest Hunter."

"We can if you don't doubt me too much," Allen locked his arm around the other boy's neck and shuffled his hair. "I don't know why I'm doing this, but I feel like you deserve it."

"He does!" Gina cheered and ran toward them. She joined in and shuffled Jeremy's hair too, laughing loudly as she did.

"They are like children, seriously," Gary sighed as he took a sip of his coffee. He was leaning on the counter while Sebastian was looking at the three in the living room.

"Do you want to join them?" Sebastian asked. "You can do it if you want to."

"I'm too old for that," Gary snickered. "I don't have the luxury to do so."

"Age doesn't matter when you're having pure fun," Sebastian smirked. "This was like a scene when Bernard, Kenneth, Remy, and I were having fun. We were so close before the storm came and Drake died."

For some reason, Gary felt sad for Sebastian. The man was basically saying that he lost his bond with his friends and that he wanted them back if he could.

"Sebastian, I–"

There was a series of loud knocking on the door followed by a scream, "Sir Sebastian, Haven is being attacked. Please help us."

"It's been a while," Allen said as he took a deep breath of the air. "Smells bad, but I missed this."

They were rushing toward Camp Avalon where the attack was supposed to be at. Sure enough, the nearer they got there, the presence of a powerful being entered their range.

"This is a Zodiac," Sebastian said. "She's too powerful to be dealt with alone. Bun, call for help."

Bun was a young Adventurer who was under the care of Sebastian. Bun was essentially one of his secretaries who has different roles.

"Who should I call, sir?" Bun asked.

"Call Sun and Bernard," Sebastian ordered. "The both of them."

"Is she really that strong?" Allen asked. He was still surprised by how much Sebastian could perceive. While he just knew that there was a strong presence at the center of the city, Sebastian already dissected it. He was blind, so his perception increased but even so, this was so powerful.

"When I perceive, I learn to deactivate all of my other senses," Sebastian suddenly spoke. "I felt like you were confused, I'm just telling you."

"Deactivate your other perception, how is that?" Allen asked.

"Like just now, I deactivated my sense of taste and smell," Sebastian said. "Since I don't need both, I ceased their function and used the energy for my perception."

"That's amazing," Allen said. "Could you somehow teach me in the future?"

"But of course," Sebastian smiled. "I can teach you more, but for now, we have to deal with this problem."

They arrived at the scene and sure enough, it was a Zodiac that they were going to face.

"That's a huge woman," Allen said as he watched the figure that was hovering in the air.

It was a figure of a stone woman that wore blankets for her dress. There was a blindfold wrapped around her eyes and her right hand carried a scale. It was about ten meters tall and had golden rings on all ten of her fingers.

"If that's a Zodiac, I bet I know what it represents," Jeremy smirked.

"No, crap," Gary sighed. "How can we beat this giant woman?"

"We wait for Sun and Bernard to arrive," Sebastian said. "Currently, we lack the power to kill it."

"So, these are the folks that killed Scorpio," the woman suddenly spoke and looked in their direction.

"She has a blindfold on yet she can still see?" Jeremy gasped. "Red flag, red flag."

She used her free hand to point at them. "Come here."

She pulled her hand toward her and this made the Hunters to be pulled towards her. She made them hover right by her face and smiled. "You're all so tiny. How can I kill you?"

With a shift of her look, every hair stood on Allen's body.

She was grinning toothily, her teeth were sharp as claws. "Do I have to eat you?"
