210 The Conference 1

Vince was wearing the wooden mask of the Wandering Trader. A lot of these people knew who it was after the Wandering Trader's mask was popularized by the recent events that took place.

"Who are you?" Stephanie asked. "Why are you in my court? Seize him!"

"Don't worry. I'm gonna leave," Vince grinned as he threw a ball in the air. The ball exploded, creating a cloud of blue smoke.

"What is this?" Sun yelled. He launched himself off of his chair and ran to where Liam was supposed to be, but the man was already gone.

"They're gone," Remy said.

"Who were those?" Sun asked Remy. He approached the jury's bench and slammed hishand on the small wooden fence in front of the jury.

"I saw two of them," Lin said. "They were both wearing identical wooden masks, but they obviously weren't the same people. One was tall and muscled, while the other was a woman and slender."

"I didn't even know that there were two of them," Claire sighed. "My eyes must be very weak."

"No, the smoke was just too dense," Lin said. "I believe only Sun and me saw the woman. The smoke felt like it was water that a lot of us can't do anything about it."

"So, you're saying there were two people who took Liam," Bernard hummed. "Are they members of Barandilla? Someone who we weren't able to capture?"

"The core members of Barandilla were arrested. I can assure you that," Sun said.

"Then who were those people?" Claire asked. "That mask was the Wandering Trader, right? They're allies? He's supposed to serve justice."

"That's interesting," the Sheep Bearer, Sheila said. "There are two Wandering Traders? And we let him do his hobby even when it's illegal, but he still betrayed us? How dare he."

Everyone fell silent after Sheila spoke. This brought them a headache, and was now even further away to calm the people down.

Kenneth slammed his foot as he stood. He was an honorary member of the jury and this was his last service. "This is all because you wanted to do something that's not right that it fired back. My last jury service and it's all ruined."

The man sighed and left the hall with Remy following him after she gave them a stern look. "If you didn't let the media and the world know until the hearing was over, we could've avoided this. I am so disappointed in you, Sun."

"Now I'm to blame?" Sun chuckled with a devilish and furious tone. "I only wanted to ease the people's fear. What did I get in return? Backlash?"

"You deserve it too," Sheila said. She was cleaning her nails with a brush as she looked up to Sun. "Who's idea was it to mention Roger Huntsman for this trial?"

"Agree," Bernard sighed. "If we avoided using the name for the clout, then we would've avoided this disaster altogether."

"So, now it's my fault," Sun looked down in shame and guilt.

The rest of the members of the jury left, except for Claire who approached Sun.

"You're going to tell me that it's my fault too?" Sun asked. "Everyone is blaming me. I only did my job."

"I know," Claire smiled. "You don't have to worry about it. We are looking for Liam and the Wandering Trader as we speak. When we catch them, we are going to make them pay."

"Yeah," Sun smiled and nodded. "Let's do that. I like that idea."

Meanwhile, far from the court house was Stacey pulling an Invisibility Cloak off of her and Liam. "We should be safe now."

They were in an alley where they also met Oliver who was standing in front of a dumpster.

"What is going on?" Liam asked. "Why did you save me?"

They didn't say anything. Instead, they opened one of the dumpsters and pushed Liam inside.

The man thought that he would be greeted by a foul smell and a flood of garbage, but he found himself in a tunnel. The three Bodies made him lead the  way to the end of the tunnel where a room was located.

It was a small library where four couches surround a coffee table in the middle. There was also a fireplace on the other end of the room where another couch was facing in front of it.

"What the hell is this?" Liam asked when he saw Allen. "Why did you save me? I ordered to kill Lewis, my brother. Can you forgive me for that?"

"We're not here to talk about Lewis." Allen was sitting on one of the couches as he controlled Vince to make Liam sit in the couch in front of him. "The main reason why I saved you because you're going to be sentenced for a crime that you did not commit. As a man who has served for justice, I cannot stand that."

"You're being ridiculous, you know that?" Liam scoffed. "You still try your best to look as noble as you think you are, but in reality, you are no different from them."

"I don't care about any of your other words," Allen said. "But that was the main reason why I broke you out of there."

"Main reason?" Liam suddenly realized. "What do you mean main reason? You have other reasons?"

Allen sighed. "We do."

This made Liam narrow his eyes. "And that being?"

"We need your information."

"We? You keep mentioning we," Liam said. "What do you mean 'we'? These guys are just your Bodies. Who else is going to help you?"

"Come in," Allen said which made Liam chuckle.

"Right. I forgot you have all your silly little friends along with Dennis–"

A door opened and several people came in. Liam's eyes widened after he saw nine people come in and sit on the couches.

"You've got to be kidding me," Liam whispered. "What are all of you doing in here?"

"Now that we have the representative of Barandilla, why don't we start?" Allen asked. "Lin, Genesis, why don't you open the floor?"

Genesis smirked and stood. "Let us start the conference."
