206 Bodies
"What do you need?" Leah, the businessman's daughter asked Allen as he roamed around the room. "I want to help you out."
"I need something that could lead me to the system of Barandilla," Allen replied. "It's impossible for your father to not have any connections ot them before. My theory is that he has been funding them. And now that they have enough of his help and wants more, he refused. That's why they took you."
"You got all of these information from?" Leah asked. "You think deeply, but how did you know all of these?"
"Instincts," Allen said. "I have crazy instincts."
They rummaged through the room, took out all the books in the shelves, flipped the desks, roamed the items, but there were still nothing.
"How come there's not a single file about their connection?" Allen groaned.
It was hard for him to physically activate his instincts because he wasn't in his body. He was both in Stacey and Oliver's bodies while rummaging through the room and they didn't have his instincts physically.
"I saw daddy once," Leah said. She walked over the desk in the room and opened the first drawer. "He opened something here and I was suddenly in another room. I was a kid back then, so I couldn't remember all the details but…"
She took out the drawer and placed her hand inside the slot of the drawer. She managed to press a button which made a clicking sound, and the floor right in front of the desk opened.
"Gotcha," Leah grinned. "Daddy's secret room."
The secret door revealed a path of stairs that led down the room. It was wide and looked grandiose, showing off just how rich Leah's father was.
Allen entered the secret room together with Leah and they found a room filled with golden items and ancient artifacts. The room was well lit and the items were placed in different stands that showed them off.
"When I was younger, this room didn't have this many items," Leah said. "He must've collected more as I grew older."
Allen roamed the room using his two bodies and finally found a small vault. He ran to the vault and used Stacey's abilities to force open it.
Crank!
The vault opened and folders were hidden inside. Each file contained the transactions between Leah's father and the Barandilla. These were just transactions, but this doesn't contain the list that Allen needed.
"You don't look happy," Leah said. "How come you're not so happy?"
"That's because I need the list of the members of Barandilla," Allen said. "If I want to bring them down, just reporting them won't help it. I need to kill them one by one."
"You want them members of the Barandilla?" Leah asked. "You mean those Board Officials?"
"Yes," Allen replied. "But I don't see their list here."
While Stacey was busy with the files, Oliver was roaming the secret room. He then found an odd looking brick accent wall in the corner. It was about six feet in length and there was one odd brick that didn't match the rest.
While the others were ranging from dark gray to white, this brick was pale green. Allen pushed the brick and he heard a click. The click opened a device which showed to be a camera.
"Hello?" the camera spoke. Allen held it in his hands. "I'm scared right now. My daughter has been consumed by…"
Allen in Stacey's body was still rummaging the a stench of killing intent flooded his nose. He turned around to see Leah raising a dagger and slashed it across his face.
"Die!" Leah yelled. "Die! Die! Die!"
Allen was trying to push Leah away as hard as he can, but it was hard to do because the girl was already above him. She kept slashing her dagger, cutting through the puppet's body.
"What?" Leah gasped when she saw that Stacey's wound didn't bleed. Instead, they showed a clay-like cut. "You're not human?"
"My daughter is part of Barandilla," Allen heard the voice of Leah's father from the camera.
"You're with them?" Allen gasped.
"Yes, she is," Pia laughed. She entered the secret room and sighed. "I knew it. It's impossible for such people to work synchronously without being Bodies."
Allen pushed Leah off and stood back. He raised his dagger and reunited with Oliver. He then recalled Oliver so he could focus on Stacey's fight.
"But again, it would be odd," Pia said. "There's something going on and that something is–"
She suddenly conjured a baton and slammed it on Vince's face. This made the latter's body get thrown away and crash to a wall. "A spy!"
"No!" Allen in Stacey's body yelled as he watched Pia throw the baton right through Vince's chest. The man's gasped as the weapon pierced his body.
Blood was drawn from the body. Vince died immediately while Pia's eyes widened. "V-Vince wasn't a body?"
"He wasn't?" Leah asked. "But how come they know things that only we can know. This is impossible."
Pia then turned to Vince. "Things happened after you entered. But it's been four months since we started accepting members. I'm sure it's just someone from the old ones who's trying to mess us up."
Leah appeared behind Vince and cut his neck. The clay-like material was shown, making Leah screech. "He's the spy, Pia! How dumb can you be?"
"What?" Pia growled. "But Vince was the one who's always next to me. How–"
"You just killed an innocent man."
They all turned around after hearing a male voice speak. It was Liam himself.
"I'm here to ask what's going on because I heard there was a skirmish," Liam said. "But Pia, your hatred for Vince has finally blossomed into something horrendous."
"Liam, I can explain," Pia pleaded. "I can–"
Her body was suddenly engulfed in flames by Liam's command. He sighed and shook his head as they all watch Pia turn into ashes.
"She hated Vince because he was liked by Leah," Liam said. "And she liked Leah. What a twist."
"I need something that could lead me to the system of Barandilla," Allen replied. "It's impossible for your father to not have any connections ot them before. My theory is that he has been funding them. And now that they have enough of his help and wants more, he refused. That's why they took you."
