195 Cloaked Figures

Allen recovered his posture. He stood and raised his guard as the cloak figure walked closer to him. It raised his hand, opening his palm to show Allen a ball of energy, threatening to shoot him in the face.

"Who are you?" Allen asked, but the man did not answer. Instead, it fired the ball of energy, barely hitting Allen on the face who dodged by rolling to the ground.

Allen threw his glaive above him while equipped the rapier, Golden Rust with his right hand. When the glaive landed on the ground with its head piercing through the floor, Allen took it out with his left hand, showing the cloaked figure how he could wield two weapons at once.

The cloaked figure did not say anything. Instead, it fired another round of its attack, making Allen run for his life while the Serrata was also chasing him.

"They're accomplices?!" Allen gaspes. He leaped froom roof to roof while he dodged the balls of energy and the swinging og the great sword of the Serrata.

He couldn't even find an opening because he was too busy dodgint the attacks. It would be dangerous if he tries to target one because the other would have a blindspot against him.

"This is bad," Allen said to himself. "Where are Jeremy and Gary?"

Jeremy and Gary were also fighting two more cloaked figures. These figures were attacking them aggressively, trying to continue their rain of attacks at them.

"What the hell?!" Gary yelled. "We just survived a Serrata attack, and now this? What are the other Hunters doing?"

"I don't know, man," Jeremy said. He looked down and his eyes widened when he saw that the streets were empty. "No one's around. What the hell?"

Even Bernard, Remy, and Sebastian who were fighting nearby had vanished. The lights from the streets died down too, only the light from the moons gave them the light that they had now.

"What is happening?" Jeremy asked out loud. "Why is this happening? The camps are supposed to be safe."

"Bright Twinkle," a soft female voice spoke behind them. Then, a mist of pale yellow light enveloped both their bodies as Selena healed them. "I'm right here. I'll be your support."

"You're here," Jeremy smiled. "What about Kyle and Irene?"

"Irene is helping Gwen while Kyle couldn't make it inside," Selena replied.

Jeremy and Gary looked at each other in confusion. "What?"

"There's a giant ball of glass right outside," Selena said. "The glass ball is very tough and only Irene and I could enter. The other Bearer's fights were over a long time ago."

"A long time ago?" Gary asked. "But we were only here for a couple of minutes."

"You've been here for three days now," Selena said. "We just entered three hours ago. Here."

Selena handed them a clock which was spinning quicker than how clocks should spin. This made Jeremy and Gary look at each other in shock, both speehless after what they have just witnessed.

"They trapped us inside?" Gary asked. "But why?"

"Because of him," Jeremy said. "We have to finish this quickly so we can assist Dante."

Gary nodded. "Okay, let's go."

Jeremy and Gary decided to work together with Selena. The latter would give them buffs and sustain while they fight the cloaked figures, knocking them down as quick as they could.

"Gary," Jeremy called out. "I'll tank the front lines. You take care of the rest."

Gary laid on the ground in a prone position. He placed his sniper rifle in front of him and targeted one cloaked figure, the one who was chasing Jeremy. While the latter held the two enemies with his spear, Gary fired his gun.

Bang!

The target conjured a black dagger that blocked the bullet. This made the three Hunters gasp, Jeremy immediately taking distance. "They're not as easy enemies as we thought."

"They're not," Gary agreed. "But it doesn't mean that we can't take them down."

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Gary continued to fire his gun, each time he would flinch because of the strong recoil. Every time he spams his shoot, a condition would activate. This condition was that his damage output would increase by 0.7 times, the recoil would doubled.

If this continues, the recoil would reach a point where Gary's shoulder which he uses to guide his gun would be torn from his body.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"How much longer?" Jeremy couldn't help but yell when he found himself slowly getting caught down by the speed of his enemies. They could now match his speed and moves, and it wouldn't take long before they could counter him.

"Almost there," Gary said. "Just make sure to do the plan."

"Do I even have a choice?" Jeremy groaned and continued to fight.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

"Three."

Bang!

"Two."

Bang!

"Now!"

"Sparkling Heal!" Selena casted right on time for Gary to pull the trigger on his bullet. The gun recoiled back so hard that it tore Gary's shoulder off, but it wasn't able to be severed because Selena's healing skill was activated right on time.

Bang!

Jeremy spun his spear through both of his enemys' daggers. He made it so the cloaked figures would bend down while he kicked their backs, making him jump from the beam of bullet that Gary just fired.

The attack from Gary's gun immediately torn the cloaked figures' bodies off. They perished instantly, not even having the chance to defend.

"Good," Gary stood. "Now, let's go find Allen."

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Allen was running around as much as he can, but his movements were getting sloppier by the second. He was slowly getting tired of running, but he can't fight back. It was too much for him.

"Just a bit more," Allen whispered to himself. "Just a bit more, Allen. You can do this."

He was about to go out of his hiding spot, but the Serrata was already standing in front of him. The cloaked figure was also on the side, preparing to launch the beam.

"Goodbye," the cloaked figure smirked a it revealed its smirk. "Allen."

"Argh!" Allen yelled.
