Mallory walked behind the family. She was afraid of ruining the picture perfect family with her horrible face. The scar on her face went from her eyebrow to her jaw. It was ugly and she was conscious of it but Daiyu payed little attention to it when they were together. Although this made her happy, she couldn't forget the years of humiliation she went through because of it.

Daiyu noticed her humble and shy attitude.

[Sigh. This girl is too easy to read.]

She saw a reflection of herself within Mallory. Seeing the innocence, naivety, and shyness in her reminded her of her own past and the small world in which she enclosed herself.

She was so gullible.

[If she want's to be with me, she needs to change.]

Instead of letting her father carry her, she squirmed until she was released.

Fan Ying could only cry his grievances away as he saw his daughter go into the hands of Mallory.

[I should find an excuse to move that girl to a faraway courtyard at home.]

He watched as Daiyu raised her arms looked up cutely at another person.

[That look should be directed to me. HER FATHER!]

He wanted to pull his hair in frustration but he didn't want to go bald. He liked when his wife caressed his long hair or tugged on it when she wanted to seduce him. Not that she needed to do that when with one look he would already go hard but still he loved it when she did.

He couldn't take it much longer and decided to look away at the scene that wasn't for him.

At his side, he could see his wife chuckling and looking at him with ridicule. He could only look at her in disbelief. How distressing.

On the other hand, Mallory didn't know how to react. Her savior wanted her to carry her. She looked up to the lady of the house but only received a chuckle and the master of the house refused to look their way. The only choice left was to carry the first miss.

She reached out her trembling arms and lifted her up. She was light. She had never carried a baby before so it was a new experience. Her heart filled with warmth and a small beautiful smile emerged on her face before all her body came to a stop.

Daiyu saw everything went according to plan and was carried by Mallory so she decided to do a final act and surprise her. A kiss.

She gave her a peck on the cheek and smiled.

Mallory's body stiffened. She turned bright red and looked at Daiyu who was smiling brightly. She quickly returned to her senses to catch up with the general and his wife but her mind was in a chaos.

[MY HEART! MY HEART. AISH. IM GOING TO HAVE A HEART ATTACK! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!]

Eventually they arrived to the palace but before even turning to look at it Daiyu looked at Mallory.

"Mallory can I call you Bambi. Oh and I want to say that your scar can be your beauty. I love you with it but if one day in the future you tell me you hate it I will help you get rid of it."

She then tidied up and headed inside at she observed her surroundings.

She looked at the small baby's back as she walked into the large palace and sighed before following after her.

-Emperors palace/palace court-

The emperor, Li Aonan, was discussing economic affairs with court officials from neighboring kingdoms. One of the soldiers by his side whispered on to his ear, "Emperor Li, this subject has just seen the general come visit and he is heading this way."

"Bring him in. He is the pride of this kingdom."

Most Emperors would be afraid of the power gained by a general as influential as Fan Ying but not Emperor Li. He was confident in his trust for his general mainly because they were basically brothers.

His mother had adopted Fan Ying and he had been a candidate as a prince since he was related to them as a faraway cousin but he refused. He had said he preferred to take care of them as a general instead of taking what was theirs so he grew to become strong. The fact that he had seen all this happen as he was hidden beneath a table gave him reassurance that there could be no better general at his side than Fan Ying.

All this time he only managed to bring pride and honor above the rest now all that was needed was an heir to continue his lineage.

The emperor quickly tidied up and smiled as he revealed the news to the officials. Everyone was excited to see the famous general who had spread his name across many continents with his victories and just like the emperor the all tidied up and put on big smiled of welcoming. However when the door opened nobody was seen.

Or rather…

They just needed to look down to see the person.

"FAANN DAIYUUU! I told you not to get ahead without us!"

The deep masculine voice brought everyone out of their confusion and soon they all realized that there was a tiny person standing before them.

She had silver baby hair and her golden robes made her seem like a heavenly being but what entranced them the most were those bright eyes full of mirth ever so mystical.

Even the emperor was stunned at the tiny beauty before him.

-After entering the palace-

"Papa, Mama, everything is so beautiful but why are we here?"

Her inquisitive eyes burned through their hearts as they smiled and said, "To destroy a person baby. To destroy a person."

[MOTHER! FATHER! HOW COULD YOU SAY THAT SO CALMLY WITH A STRAIGHT FACE!]

She was stunned at their response but didn't show a spec of emotion on her face as she asked, "Why?"

"My jade you will see. Ow be patient and stop asking questions about this."

"But mom! I want to know!"

After receiving no answer, Daiyu decide to ask something else.

"What is the emperor like?"

This time her father answered with a warm smile, "He is like a brother to me. You don't need to act like strangers he would want you to be comfortable here."

Hearing her father say that she slowly lagged behind and bumped into Bambi. Looking at the confusion she displayed on her face, she lifted up a finger and motioned for secrecy.

'Shhh'

Bambi nodded and moved on.

[Is she going to play a prank? My little miss is more childish than I expected.]

However when she turned to look at what she would do as a prank she only saw tiny feet disappear as she turned on a corner.

She panicked and nudged Nuwa Yenay's sleeve.

"Mistress. E-eldest miss just ran away."

They instantly panicked and ran after her. The searched everywhere and found her in the kitchen flirting and having the time of her life with the cooks.

"Can I have a little of that? Yummy! Did I already say you look beautiful today? Because you really do!"

"Here have some of this!"

"Oh this is good too! Your delicate hands made this!? You're a genius!"

As the trio by the door looked at the scene in front of them, their jaws almost dropped to the floor in shock. Fan Daiyu was in a very comfortable chair with many beauties around her and even the men were feeding her food. She was reciprocating their approach by complementing them all and smiling everywhere. The cooks were mesmerized by her she could hypnotize people with her cuteness.

The couple and Mallory couldn't believe their ears or eyes but the proof was undeniable.

The giggles resonated across the kitchen and you could practically see flowers in the air.

[How can she be any more shameless!? She's tricking them! This is preposterous!]

As Daiyu was about to munch on another snack, her father's voice resonated across the room.

"FAN DAIYU! CAN YOU BE ANY MORE SHAMELESS!? WHERE ARE YOU LEAVIG MY FACE?!"

"Father, since when did you think of your face. You are the shameless one! Right everyone!?"

He voice was full of indignation and righteousness.

[Shameless! She not giving me, her father, any face at all!]

He glared at everyone and nobody sided with her.

"Guys! I thought we were together in in this! Do you not like me anymore?"

Her small face became sorrowful and he bright eyes dimmed and became watery. Instantly everyone took her side including Nuwa Yenay.

"How could he say that to his own daughter?"

I used to respect the general but this has opened my eyes. He's so shameless. Bullying his own daughter!"

"How disappointing!"

"Master, I'm thankful for taking me up but I think you have gone too far."

"Ying how could you say such things to her she's but a child"

Hearing all their complaints made him want to spit out blood from anger.

"Yenay, Mallory. I thought we were on the same side!"

They both looked at the sad baby and in unison they replied, "Not anymore"

"Traitors! She's fooling you! Don't believe her! It's all an act!"

He saw his daughter lower her head and reveal a victorious smirk. His eyes widened and her cried invisible tears.

"Fine! I GIVE IN! I SURRENDER! But make sure she doesn't run off again."

For the first time ever, the mighty general lost and it was to his own baby daughter.

Daiyu agreed to remain with them for as long as she could and when they headed out no one saw the fox like smile lifting at the corner of her lips.

They walked on and she saw a guard heading somewhere in the direction in which they were heading.

A weird smile was plastered on her face and all of a sudden, she bolted from there. Everyone was shocked. A few seconds passed and Fan Ying finally came to his senses after she had already disappeared from sight. However, he was a strong cultivator so it didn't take long before he caught sight of his daughter.

"FAANN DAIYUUU! I told you not to get ahead without us!"

He rushed to her side and looked at the silly smile she gave him.
