21 Start of a Journey
The next morning she woke up to extreme hunger.
[I'm starving. I forgot that the entire reason for yesterday's event was my hunger.
They are so irresponsible! THEY FORGOT TO FEED ME!]
It was too early and she knew her parents wouldn't wake up at this time no matter how much she rang the tiny bell.
She decided to ignore her hunger as much as possible. They would wake up soon at her regular feeding time anyways.
She sat up and crossed her small chubby legs. She needed to start patiently. The key in cultivation is patience and experience. After reading so many books, she was basically a how to manual already.
Her round eyes closed and she concentrated.
[The first step is to find complete peace within yourself. A space where everything is perfect. A mind of complete serenity…
But that is what I lack the most ever since losing my innocence that day.
Peace and serenity.]
She concentrated and her eyebrows furrowed at the outcome. She was patient but it was obvious that there would be no progress if she didn't change.
{Remember the days before that happened or the days you have now. Forget that day. I know it can't be done permanently but try to focus on something else that causes you peace}
[Long time no see little light]
{If you want to progress do as I teach you}
The light left its instructions and disappeared once again.
She sighed at its attitude but felt that it was reasonable to do as it said.
[Peace… Where do I find that?
Where do I feel the most comfortable?
Fu*k. IDK?]
She tried both ways but the peace she had with her parents still had residues of insecurity and her past had daily torments. Neither gave her what she wanted.
[What matters to me other than my parents?
Ercan?
Nothing else.]
She began to think of Ercan but their times together weren't enough to put her at complete serenity.
Nothing else mattered to her at least before.
She had no one but herself before.
…Herself.
[That's the only person I've been able to trust. Myself.
Can it be something about myself?]
{Yes}
As she concentrated, an image flashed within the darkness. It was what she felt connected to.
[That image over my dantian!]
She moved her consciousness to look at that mystic image on her. It was special. The moon was special. She felt comfortable, enchanted, and at peace while looking at the image.
The dragon captured a feeling of desperateness and its golden tear seemed filled with enclosed feelings which had been held onto for so long. The dragon was reaching for the bright stars in that dark sky with anxiousness. It looked needy and fearful as if what it was missing was its own soul. Yet underneath such a sad image lay a moon bright and enchanting. It was so bright as if shining the sky for the dragon. It felt nice looking at it but it also gave her a feeling of melancholy.
It was a good melancholy. It felt strange. She couldn't understand.
She looked at it and began to realize that everything began to shift.
All that was needed was a blink of her eyes and all her surroundings had changed. She was on a moon.
It was warm.
The star had stayed where it was but the dragon and its tear had disappeared.
[Strange.]
She walked but everything seemed never ending. She realized that her entire body seemed in a state of complete relaxation. She felt spirited and carefree.
This was it. This was the feeling.
She began memorizing the feeling and adjusting to the newfound emotion. She needed to capture it and merge with it.
It took her two hours to finish the entire process but it was okay since she was patient.
[That was a long process. I need to work harder. I'm usually a fast learner and easily pick up skills but this took a long time.]
If the rest of the world were to hear her, they would die of outrage or embarrassment that a mere baby did what no one could. Her own father would probably black out at the news. It had taken him 3 years to reach that state of mind and he was already regarded as a genius at that time.
After merging with the feelings that the image gave her she felt that everything within her had changed. She felt new again.
When she opened her eyes again everything seemed brighter than before as if she had been living in her past gloominess or as if she had been living an illusion. Everything was the same but her perspective of it was different. She steadied her heartbeat which she realized had been panicking and pacified herself to understand her new state of mind.
[The foundation has been set. It is strong at the moment so I can start cultivating but what if father realizes? Will he be proud or will he be shocked? What if they think I'm possessed? I hope he doesn't realize.]
{Don't worry I can make it so no one can identify your Qi level or even know if you're cultivating.}
After gaining reassurance from that ghost like light, she calmed down and determination filled her eyes.
She concentrated and noticed many energies around her. She was surprised to see that her body was compatible with all the energies. She knew that it would be hard to focus on all of them simultaneously but life is hard and if she wanted to please her parents in such a power like society, she needed to be the strongest. She began to intake the qi around her starting with the rarest neutral Qi.
There are seven different number of aptitudes. The common ones being: Earth, wind, water, and lighting. The rare being: light and dark. The almost extinct being neutral Qi.
Having all the aptitudes ever happened before and to the oblivious Daiyu seemed just out of expectation but not earth shattering as it actually was.
She divided her dantian into seven different sections and gradually filled them with the Qi around her.
[This is easy. Its like playing a video game but your body is the map to the treasure.]
She simultaneously sucked in all the different Qi's around her and guided it to her dantian. Unfortunately, she couldn't level up yet. She could feel she was at the brink of breaking through but she needed to steady her progress. She found it strange that she could get so much energy in a mere 3 hours. She had read that it took one months or even years depending on the level one was in.
To her knowledge, there were nine levels before entering the tyro embracement stage, which contained novice, intermediate, and late sub levels. She heard that her father was in the intermediate tyro embracement stage and he was a general so the probability of people achieving greater wasn't much. Therefore, she wished to reach that level as soon as possible to make her mother and father proud. She felt spirited again. She hadn't felt so in a long time until today.
She continued to balance her foundation until she heard her mother giggling and flirting with her father as they were on their way here.
[Oof. If it hadn't been because of their shameless flirting I could have been caught. I need to be more careful from now on. It's too early to show them my capability.]
She quickly laid down on her small bed and dried her invisible sweat as if she had been saved by the bell. She waited for her parents to come in but in the silence she could hear them smooching and panting.
[How can they be so shameless?
YOU ARE JUST OUTSIDE MY ROOM PLEASE CONTROL YOURSELF!]
"Y-ying….she'll hear us…hnn."
"Sh. Babe, she won't hear if you don't make noise and even if you do release those sweet moans she won't hear. She is probably still asleep."
"Ying! Control yourself!"
[Finally! At least one of them has some consciousness left.
Thank you mother.]
Fan Daiyu was too busy thanking her mother to realize that her mother had already started panting.
She reddened when she heard her father's shameless words.
"I know you like it rough. I will make you scream out my name and help you feel pleasure."
She could hear the smirk on his face and felt like slapping her father for his audacity.
She couldn't take it any longer. Why did her parents have to be so shameless?
"MAMA! PAPA!
IM HUNGRY!
MAMAAAAAAA! PAPAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Hearing her child scream out of hunger Nuwa Yenay blushed in embarrassment and pushed her husband out of her. She tidied up and rushed to her daughter's side. Fan Ying could only shake his head and chuckle.
[This daughter of mine always makes my wife run away from me. She will be the death of me.]
If Fan Daiyu knew his thoughts, she would surely be screaming in indignation for his false accusations. He is always the one that decides to destroy hey eyes with his shamelessness.
After finally being fed, her mother changed her and dolled her up to head out.
[Where are we going?]
Seeing the confusion in her daughter's eyes Nuwa Yenay smiled.
"We will give you a show"
