10 Star Hatch
"Fan Daiyu. That's her name."
Lilian Dalai smiled at Nuwa Yenay's response. She led them to a room full of bottles of medicine, pills, elixirs, and poisons. She laid down a blanket on the table and made sure Fan Daiyu was comfortable. She began examining the baby but nothing seemed wrong. She looked physically all right. Lilian Dalai looked at the baby laying in agony with her eyelids shut tightly.
[Maybe something is wrong with her eyes. There could be many possibilities but I would only be able to understand after doing a full body check. Maybe her eyes will show some symptoms or strange occurrence.]
"Hold her eyes open"
She ordered the couple but they didn't move. They were unsure of using such forceful methods on a child. What if she got hurt because of them? What if they accidentally put too much force in their fingers and damage her beautiful eyes.
They were afraid to hurt their own treasure.
Meanwhile, Fan Daiyu was pulled back into the obscurity. For some reason the creature of darkness seemed in a rush.
It opened its many mouths and whispered a dark secret to her.
"How do you feel living in another person's body?
Huh, didn't you know? You took the body of their child. You haven't really been reborn. Do you actually believe in that? We only said that to convince you to be our ruler. You have the cruel ability to possess a host for your soul and kill the former body's resident.
You can kill souls. Your fate is to be our Queen.
The Queen of Darkness.
The Queen fated to Despair."
"NO! It CAN'T be true. It just can't."
Her eyes widened in shock and despair. Her eyes had been with swirling pools of madness and guilt towards the child and her parents.
Seeing its plan was working, the million voices united to form one huge shadow. It smiled cruelly and released dark gases of chaos from its mouth.
"Did you really think you died? HAHAHAHAHA!
NO!
Your soul was too strong for death. You just left your previous body only to inhabit another one, a better one. You are like us. Come let us unite, my queen!"
She dazedly slowly walked towards the shadow but before taking the last step to it, something made her entire body tremble.
"NO! We were so close!"
The shadow shouted in anger and scurried away without a second thought.
A while later a familiar voice sounded out once again and brought Daiyu out of her daze.
"Help me open her eyes"
Lilian's impatient voice resounded across the room.
Fan Daiyu managed to understand what was said over all her pain and thoughts. She forcefully opened her sad eyes.
Lilian gasped at the enthralling view. Those innocent, watery eyes were pleading for help. They were strange and enthralling but… they were fine?
She couldn't understand what was happening. The child was physically fine. She seemed to be psychologically sane and intellectually above others.
It seemed more like she was living a trauma or nightmare.
But that was impossible for a newborn. Wasn't it?
She couldn't help but ask, "Did she have a… nightmare?"
They surprised her by hastily nodding and describing the events that had happened the night in with she was born.
[How strange? Was it something that was a result from something that happened in the womb or during her birth?]
She could only explain the little bits and pieces of what she knew to the couple. They sighed in relief knowing she wasn't sick but were still worried for her psychological health.
"When she was having her nightmare, how did you calm her?"
Fan Ying looked at his wife and she stepped forward.
"I sang her a song."
Nuwa Yenay began singing once again and as her soft mellow voice echoed throughout the room, Fan Daiyu calmed down.
The song was like magic. That sweet honey like voice lightened her burdens and made her reach her arms out.
Her watery eyes looked adorable.
The physician looked at the child warmth but felt completely confused.
[How strange. She has no problems but was in so much pain.
However, at the sound of the song she relaxed. It seemed like a magical medicine for her.
I need to find the reason behind this.]
Lilian's eyes brightened up with a strange crude fire.
She was obsessed to find out the reason for such a strange case. After all, that's what she was known for. She only became so accomplished because of her lunatic workaholic personality.
Once she found something that piqued her interest, her crazy personality would emerge.
She hid her emotions and calmly addressed the couple.
"As you can see all you have to do is sing to her.
I will study this case and see if there is any causes to her episodes."
As Fan Daiyu listened to their conversation, she laughed out loud.
The sound of that laugh shot an arrow through all of their hearts.
However, that child still remained oblivious to everything and instead chose to humiliate people in her mind.
[What a stupid lady. She won't ever know that the child was born without a soul. If I hadn't been forcefully pushed into the child's body it wouldn't have been born alive.]
During this latest attack she had learned that she couldn't really be reborn. If she didn't have such a strong soul she would have long ago been punished into Hell. What she could do was take a person's body, kill the soul, and possess the body. However, how could she be so heartless after everything she had gone through? Since her heart had been seen through, the well pushed her into a soulless baby body that had been paralyzed from the neck down until she entered it.
The darkness had revealed her soul's power in hopes of frightening her of herself and throwing her into despair but the tiny light inside her had burst open before anything serious could happen.
When the light burst, a small figure enveloped in heavenly light emerged.
The small figure was beautiful and dangerous.
It was like a strange mystical kind of white snake.
Fan Daiyu wasn't able to tell what kind of creature it was but she was completely sure that it was rare, ancient, and mythical.
She wasn't even sure if it was real. Maybe she had created everything in her head and she had lost her mind long ago for the second time.
The snake looked at her and headed her way.
He tried to back away but for some strange reason her body wouldn't let her retreat. That mythical creature climbed up and rested on her wrist. It melted on it and she could feel her skin merging with the little creature. It was painful but she was calmed at its touch. Nothing strange happened but the direct connection on their broken skin allowed them to talk telepathically. It showed her the truth and the lies behind what the dark shadow had told her.
When she learned the truth she couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief
A small voice invaded her thoughts
"I don't understand it human. Hadn't you gone crazy long ago? Didn't you already kill and dirty your hands with blood in the past? Why are you getting all worked up for another's life?"
She looked at the creature on her arm with a blank look and just replied with what she thought.
"They deserved it but nobody else was involved. I let the model free and I avenged all the other victims. I only killed those who had won it. Living can be a torture for me but what if I end up taking another's body and completely destroy the family and affect other people to end up like me. Why would I make others go through what I did? It wouldn't make sense."
At her response The creature smiled weirdly, bit her arm, and injected his poison onto her.
"Lets see how far you can survive this.
Once you get home come here. Ill be waiting for you! Don't disappoint. Haha."
That laugh gave her goosebumps. She felt strange but all her feelings were converted into determination at the thought of his venom.
[F*****g ugly worm! Killing me won't be so easy.]
"Don't worry. I WILL SURVIVE. Not for myself but for my parents."
Lilian Dalai smiled at Nuwa Yenay's response. She led them to a room full of bottles of medicine, pills, elixirs, and poisons.
