228 Chapter 228 - Gathering Intelligence
Three days later. To the north of Squirrel Street. At an unremarkable corner of the Klia Stage Station.
“Lionel, how reliable is your intelligence?”
The beastman Morgo was hiding behind a long table located in the Klia Stage Station. Beside him was a boy called Lionel.
If it wasn’t for the fact that his outward appearance looked very cute; if it wasn’t for his fortune to become the adopted son of one of the Black Dove’s leaders, he would’ve likely not been able to survive till now.
As Morgo complained, a group of people suddenly appeared outside the Klia Stage Station. Immediately, Morgo shut his mouth. Still hiding, Morgo narrowed his eyes and soon recognized some of the more well-known individuals among that group of people.
“Look! That’s the actor playing ‘Stansfield.’ That man is the administrator of the Weissenasche Theater. People generally address him as Sir Weissenasche. For him to be here, he must be preparing for a new movie! Who would’ve thought, brat, you’re actually capable of getting some job done.”
Morgo was one of the members of the Black Dove. He was one of the lowest tier members in charge of gathering information. In order to receive more ‘breathtaking’ and ‘valuable’ information, he had remembered practically all the well-known people in Norland.
“Shut it! How many times do I have to tell you that man is not Stansfield, that what you’ve seen is a make-believe story?!”
Right after Morgo finished lecturing this foolish boy, the people outside the stage station began to busy themselves. Following the instructions of a very young looking individual, the people all began to move about. This included Sir Weissenasche.
An aged old man was repeatedly hugging a hunting dog right outside the entrance of the stage station. The others were pretending to be passer-bys and staff members of the stage station and walking all over the place.
This single scene was repeated for over a dozen times.
At the beginning, Morgo was slightly confused by what he was seeing. But soon, the thought he had in his mind received verification.
“You see that? They’re making a movie, Lionel! They must be making a new movie!”
An unsupressable sense of excitement was present in Morgo’s voice.

Ever since movies appeared in Norland, it caught the attention of over half of the entire city’s populace. This included even those proud mages… A piece of intelligence regarding ‘Léon: The Demon,’ for example the whereabouts of the main actor Léon, would be able to sell for over a dozen gold coins. There was no need to mention how much value the latest information about a new movie would bring!
But, the next moment, light white rune inscriptions started to emerge in the girl’s hand. Then, the burly beastman experienced flight!
The girl gently waved her hand and Morgo was sent into a wall on the other side of the street. The impact caused his head to enter a momentarily stunned state.
The next moment, his giant body was lifted into the air again. Following that brief moment of weightlessness, he was smashed ruthlessly onto the ground by the white runes. With that, Morgo lost consciousness.
“Ciri, I’ll have to deduct your wages if you continue to destroy my setting like this.”
Joshua caught up to the Day Banshee and saw Ciri using her Order Magic to ruthlessly beat up the beastman. He saw that Ciri was still planning to continue on attacking the unconscious beastman and immediately held her hand to stop her.
“De…deduct my wages? Wait wait wait… give me some time, I’ll fix these for you.”
When Ciri heard the words ‘deduct wages’ she immediately transformed from a powerful mage back to an impoverished mage.
