18 One remained silent when the wicked devours

At the busy streets of Tianshang, a handsome young man in navy-blue robe was happily strolling at the streets; following him is a cute little servant, who's carrying a basket full of nuts.

The passerby's, especially ladies cant help but stare at the 'young man' who was casually eating the nuts he picked in the basket. 'He' was charming with his pinkish cheeks and plumpy red lips, and his eyes were as innocent and cute as a bunny when he smiles.

Noticing the bewildered looks of the people around, the vendor from the corner of the streets purposely caught the 'young master's' attention. He called him over, indicating for 'him' to buy some of his items. He thought 'This young man looks rich and he's rather popular, might as well use him to gain more customers.'

Xiao Xingxing caught the menacing smile of the vendor. She frowned as she crush the nuts in her mouth using her teeth. The vendor didn't notice her expression, he still keeps on calling her to come over to his stall. Feeling annoyed, Xingxing decided to ignore the vendor and walked away.

Ahjing on the other hand noticed her mistress' sudden change of mood. She questioningly looked at her miss' handsome face; wanting to ask her miss what's wrong but her little heart suddenly fluttered. 'Ooh what is happening to me? Why does my heart flutters when i stare at miss' face?' She glanced back at Xiao Xingxing's side profile.

'But miss' was different today. She was like a different person. She looked really really dashing, especially when she smiles. She looks so adorable' If Ahjing was in the modern world, she would likely to be like those little fangirls admiring their male idols.

Xingxing felt someone's gaze at her so she unconciously turned her head on her right and saw her servant staring at her with twinkling eyes. Puzzled, she blinked as she met the admiring gaze of her little fan. "Is there something wrong?" she curiously asked.

Flustered by her miss' sudden question, Ahjing quickly shakes her head, indicating that there was nothing wrong. She quickly took a step backwards. Feeling shy and at the same time scolding herself for acting stupid, she bit her lower lip as she walked slowly while following her mistress.

At the other side of the market, a trouble was brewing. Three young boys were circling around a little guy who's currently sitting on the dusty road. The little guy who might only be three or four years old, tried to stand but he was pushed again by the chubby boy who's wearing flashy clothes. The little kid then again slumped across the ground.

"Heh! Hey kid! arent you going to apologize for stealing my toy!" the chubby boy said with a arrogant tone.

The little guy didnt say anything. He only stared at him straight in the eye, the corner of his lips raised; he looked at the chubby boy with full of contempt in his eyes.

The chubby boy started to get irritated by the little guy's mocking stare. He pulled the collar of his shirt and arrogantly looked at the little guy. He slowly walked towards the him as he cracked his knuckles producing a sound of popping bones.

"Heh! What are you staring at? Go and apologize right now or else this master will personally beat you up!"

But to his displeasure, the little guy was still unfazed by his show of strength. He even rolled his little charming eyes to show his distaste to the other person. Feeling mortified, the chubby boy's face turned sour.

He then angrily motioned his hand to the other two boys to move.

With a smug look on his face, the chubby boy mockingly looked at the little guy who was now held by the two boys on both of his arms. The two boys were older than him thus making them looked taller and bulkier against his fragile little body.

The on-looking crowd shook their heads. They might pity the little guy and dislike how those bastards treat the poor child but they can't do anything; they were just normal citizens and those three bastards were sons of high-ranking officials. If they end -up offending those bastard's fathers, they might be in big trouble. So, the on-lookers choose to ignore what was happening and returned to their respective works. It is to say, if you're not powerful enough to fight then ignore it. It's better not to do anything than to be sorry in the end.
