1 Blacksmith God System

"Father!!"

A teenager was crying, holding a bloody body with his hands. He trembled as seeing his father hang on the last breath. His village is on fire. The warriors were busily fighting with monsters who invaded this peaceful place but why his father, the only blacksmith in this village, was the first victim?

"Don't cry, Heiner. Our Berkel family is a blacksmith for generations but my capability is poor. The weapons I created cannot even penetrate monsters' skin and cause our village's destruction." He takes a long breath, his face paled. "Flee. The warriors cannot hold any longer. Keep your life, you are the head of Berkel family now. Get this blanket, tools and some materials are within. I..."

He passed away without finishing the last sentence. This is his last night.

Heiner grabbed his father's blanket, stood up, his face filled with tears. He ran to the mountain. On the top, he saw monsters were killing every villager they saw, his heart sore. Heiner clenches this fists. He hated those monsters to bones, thought of his dead father made his anger souring the sky.

"I, Heiner Berkel, the last member of Berkel family swear to gods, I will make the ultimate weapons to kill all damn monsters!!"

[Ding! Requirement complete!]

[Before blacksmith god has fallen, he created this system to inherit his will to slay all devils.]

[System will help you become next blacksmith god.]

A robotic voice rang in his head. It stunned Heiner.

"W-what is that voice?"

[This is a voice from Blacksmith God System. You are the chosen one who inherits the will of previous blacksmith god. If you want to revenge those monsters, keep making better weapons and artifacts to unlock more function.]

"What can I do with the system?"

[Now you can see your status. A new function will unlock when you reach level 2]

"How can I see my status?"

[Just say 'status' in your head.]

'Okay, status...'

[Ding!]

"So... this is my status." Heiner pitied how weak he is. Seeing the status, he could become a king of trash. "How can I gain EXP to level up?"

[Making any weapons or artifacts will provide you EXP depends on its performance.]

"Any weapons?" His eyebrows frown.

[Yes!]

"Okay, I'll try once" Heiner takes a knife out of his spatial blanket, chops a long branch and sharpen it into a wooden spear.

[Ding! Congratulations! You have created a normal wooden spear. The reward is 1 EXP]

"Wow, just a wooden spear gives me 1 EXP. I wonder if I can become a god by turning all branches into weapons." Heiner continues to make a new one.

[Ding! Congratulations! You have created a normal wooden spear. The reward is 1 EXP]

[Ding! New function unlocked! Now you can sell your items for coins.]

[Ding! The system found 10 useless normal wooden spears. Do you want to sell for 10 bronze coins?]

"Yes!" He replies without hesitation. Those wooden spears are as good as trash, no one will buy it. If he can turn them to money, there is no reason to refuse goodwill of system.

[Ding! Your 10 normal wooden spears are sold for 10 bronze coins.]

'Status'

[Do you want to use contribution points now?]

"Yes. Put them all on stamina. I have to leave this place."

[Done! Now your stamina is 6. You can do more activities before getting tired.]

Heiner walked for three hours and needed to rest. His physical body was exhausted. He did not know he is tired because of low stamina or his hunger. The only way to know this was an experiment.

"I have to eat something."

He makes a wooden spear and throws it to an unfortunate rabbit.

Thud!

[Ding! You have defeated a rabbit. The rewards are Rabbit Meat x1, Rabit Skin x1]

Heiner kept the rabbit skin in his blanket and starts a fire to cook rabbit meat. It seemed food and stamina are related. When he ate it, his stamina increase. He realized that food and drinks could refill his stamina quickly.

"It's mysterious of system. Food is not fully digested but it fills me stamina instantly. I should grind my level to three and leave this mountain before they found me."

He repeated the process, made wooden spears, killed any rabbit he faced and kept rabbit skin for later use. Rabbit skin is worth 10 bronze coins in the system but he convinced to kept them for the time being. All wooden spears he created are all normal wooden spear, he assumed that higher rate weapon could not be done because his luck is only 1.

Now he had 65 bronze coins and 11 stamina. By heading to the southeast for two days, he reached a forest. "This should be Altima forest. From the map, it would take me three more days to reach the city. What a tiring journey. It would take me 70% less time if I ride a horse but I have nothing. No...I still have the system."

"System, what is the next function?"

[System cannot reveal information. Only I can tell you is next function can be unlocked at level 5]

"Huh? It's a long path. The needed EXP increase too much. I cannot rely on making wooden spears anymore. Maybe I should make a bow next."

[Ding! Congratulations! You have created a normal wooden bow. The reward is 5 EXP]

[Ding! Congratulations! You have created a normal wooden arrow. The reward is 1 EXP]

[Ding! Congratulations! You have created a normal wooden arrow. The reward is 1 EXP]

...

[Ding! Congratulations! You have leveled up to level 3. The reward is 5 contribution points.]

[Do you want to use contribution points now?]

"No. thanks. I am safe here. I will decide how to use it later."

The wooden bow was more complex than a wooden spear. Thus, it could be sold for 5 bronze coins. Heiner assumes that system evaluated items by the complexity, he will get coins equal to EXP. As the system said earlier 'keep making better weapons and artifacts', he clearly understood at this moment. If he kept making low-grade weapons and artifacts, it will take him ages to level up and the dream to become a true expert was dimmed. There was no way he could revenge in this life.

Thud!

'Shooting arrows is hard than I expected. I am lucky enough to have a smooth journey but in this forest, I may encounter some dangerous beasts. Preparing myself here before going deeper is the best choice. I have to hone some skill to protect myself.'

Thud!

Thud!

Thud!

...

Thud!

[Ding! Congratulations! Your understanding of bow-type weapon increases. The chance to craft rare rate bows increases by 1%.]

"Damn it! I think to increase the luck stat is enough for making a better rate weapon. Who knows it needs my skill for it too! System, is there another way to increase crafting rate chance?"

[Yes, any blueprints contain a certain chance. Your understanding of weapon is an extra.]

"Sigh, it's better to know that. Hm? What is that sound?"

[Ding!]

Quest 'Slaying Robbers'

The merchants were in trouble. They were surrounded by robbers. As the inheritor of blacksmith god's will, you could not deny this quest. It's the first trial to use your weapon to slay evils. You could choose to get rewards or die!

=================

Condition: Slay all enemies. Merchants must alive.

Quest Success: Reward 500 EXP

Quest Failed: You will die

=================

"Damn it! This system is threatening me!" Heiner had no choice and rushed to help those merchants. There are ten robbers without armor but five guards cannot handle them properly. If this situation continued, the merchants would die. Suddenly, A big guy robber broke free from guards and ran to kill merchants. Heiner pulls the bowstring and shot to this big dude.

Thud!

The wooden arrow pierces his ass. Heiner succeeds to stop him from killing merchants but he comes for his head instead! The arrow did not cause much damage to the enemy. How could he win this fight?

"System! Put all contribution points to strength!"
