Grand Pavilion Hotel

" You'll be staying at room 4003 sir, here's your card key." Mr. Clay reached out for the key and gave it to Mr. Lancaster.

"Are the arrangements for tomorrow been set accordingly?" Mr. Lancaster asked.

"Yes sir, I already arranged the private room and gave orders to the hotel personnel that we don't need their services during the meeting. Hotel staffs are not allowed to enter the function room, where the product testing will occur." Mr Clay replied.

" Securities? "

" It's already done sir."

After checking that everything fine for tomorrow, he got into his suite to take a rest.

Just as he was about to take off his clothes and took a shower, his phone vibrated.

He look at the phone screen and saw his mother calling him. He then swipe the call button and answered the call.

"Hello son? Have you arrived already? his mother asked.

" Yes mom, I've just already checked in before you called." He answered.

" Oh, have you eaten yet? Don't forget to eat, don't starve yourself. Its good that your looking after the company but don't neglect your body, alright? " his mother reprimanded.

" Don't worry, I won't. Are you home now? Is father with you?" he asked

" No darling, I'm with Lorraine and currently having dinner with her. Your father has a business dinner with Lorraine's father, so I tagged along." His mother haven't given up pursuing that girl.

" Don't tell me you haven't given up with her yet? I told you that I'm not interested in her." He said a little bit annoyed.

"Come on son, just gave her a chance and besides the girl is a good catch, she's very beautiful, smart and talented. She has a good family background too."

"but---"

" Please darling, I'll arranged a date between you two when you came back from your business trip and I won't take no for an answer." His mother pleaded.

" Fine, but don't get your hopes up. I'm doing it because of you."

" Thank you darling, you know I'm just worried about you. All your cousins are already married and some already had children while your still single and hasn't brought any girlfriend to us."

He was about to speak when he heard his father's voice at the background.

"Who are you calling?" his father asked.

"Your son of course, I'm checking on him."

" Checking on him? Is he a kid? Stop pestering your son."

" I'm not pestering him." Then he heard them bickering at each other. His parents are already old but they love to pissed each other like what teen couples do.

"Okay son, I'm hanging up. Your father needs his daily beatings and he will get it now." His mother said sounding annoyed as always when his father tried to piss her off.

"Okay mom, tell father I'll pray for him." He smiled ending the call.

After the showering, his phone vibrated again, seeing the call from Mr. Clay he answered it immediately.

" Sir, Mr. Evans has arrived at the Queen's City and currently checking in."

" Are you with him now?"

"Yes sir, I'm assisting him here at the lobby as per requested by you."

" Good then make sure his satisfied with the accommodation, I'll leave everything in your care Mr. Clay. Don't disappointed me." He told his assistant.

This collaboration meant a lot to him. Mr. Evans' breakthrough in medicine will help boost the Lancaster's Pharmaceuticals into greater heights.

He walk towards the glass wall of his room. He stared down at the busy streets of the Queen's City. The twinkling lights on the streets reminds him of the scenes he often see during night time at Light Country.

He was a bit frantic about the meeting thus he ordered his assistant to double check everything but still there's uneasiness in his mind that he can't figure out.

Maybe he's just anxious about the meeting so he's over thinking things.

After a while, he went back to bed and drifted off to sleep. Few minutes and only his soft breathing can be heard inside the room.
