Loran Country, Springfield Villa

Inside of a Green House, an Old man was busy tending the flowers. He was watering the plants when he heard his grandson's voice, he was looking for him.

The old man put the watering can away and turned to face his grandson.

" Clark, come here. Look at these roses finally they stop withering. I thought it won't be able to survived but it did." The old man happily said. There's delight in his eyes.

His grandson smiled and said " If mother was here she will be happy. She treasured those roses so much."

The old man smiled bitterly. His daughter ... He doesn't know when will he ever see her again. He already reached old age but still, she hasn't come back together with her husband.

He caressed the red roses beside him. " Your mother wasn't the type of woman who loves flowers but when the young Madam of the Alistair's gave her one, she begun growing flowers at home, I remembered she turned our backyard into a beautiful garden. It such a pity she couldn't see these flowers she used to love" The old man looked at those red roses with sad eyes.

He then shifted his attention to his grandson who was staring at the flowers. He felt pity to his grandson who had grown up without his mother and father's care.

He tapped his grandson's shoulder. Clark his grandson snapped out of his daze.

" I thought you were looking for me? What do you want to tell me?" The old man asked.

" Just like what you ordered me to do, I agreed to the collaboration Mr. Pierce Lancaster offered." Clark replied.

According to the person they have planted to the Lancaster's side. The moles in the Shadow Team are planning to ambush Pierce from a fake business conference at Harrison Country. After receiving the information, he immediately prepared a counter plan. So he decided to use there own schemes.

He agreed to negotiate with Pierce but he has to follow his conditions and that is to settle it here at Loran. So Pierce pushed aside the business conference at Harrison and started preparing for the PL Project in Queen's City of Loran Country.

Clark Evans, the 'business partner' that Pierce wants to collaborate with was Harold Evans' grandson and if he saw the old man, he'll definitely know who he is.

He caught Pierce's attention when he discovered that Mr. Evans research team had successfully invented a miracle drug. Then he tried to get him under one of the Lancaster's Pharmaceuticals but he politely declined. His motive was to let Mr. Lancaster to notice him.

He declined the offer first because he wants to know Pierce's enemies first before entering the Lancaster's. He wants to know who should he be wary about. Things change when he caught the other party's plan. Harrison Country is too far and they don't have enough forces in there. If they ambush Pierce it will be too late to interfere since he has a few people on his side.

" Great, since we already got this chance, we shouldn't waste it. Our only goal is to protect him Clark, we need to fulfill our promise to the Alistair's. Those greedy families are getting impatient. "

"I know grandpa, three days from now they will be here to negotiate with me. I don't know what the enemies prepared but I won't let them succeed." Clark replied with a serious face.

The Lancaster's might be powerful but they have lots of enemies eyeing their status and authority, just like what happened to the Alistair Clan years ago. They are trying to overthrow the Lancaster's by getting rid of Pierce. The death of the Alistair's caused the families of Light Country to be always on guard and alert thus another massacre would be difficult since the Lancaster's had the support of the allied families and had private forces under them. They can't annihilate the whole family so they are targeting the heir.
