Apostle Paul had to forget everything in the past; he was injurious: being an accomplice in killing Stephen, his contribution towards persecuting the church... all forgotten; if not, he would have lived in sorrow and self- pity all his life.

You can learn from your past but you must never live in your past. As a believer also, you must learn to forget all your past: past successes and past failures. You can't be a champion in every field, major on your area of strength and succeed. That is why you can't live your life to please everybody. Set your priority because it is only God that can defend you. A local adage says that if you urinate on a spot for a long time, it will begin to foam. That is how to be effective.

The reason the world has not known you is because you are not yet known for anything. Let people identify and know you for something. Identify what God plans for you and pursue your goal with all diligence. The difference between failure and success is that what the successful does diligently is what the unsuccessful does once in a while.

Failure is an orphan and that is why you must make a choice not to fail. That choice is not in the hand of God but in yours. Take responsibility and with God on your side, you will not fail. You may be flexible about means and methods but you must be certain about your goal and you will surely get there in Jesus name.
