26 Chapter Twenty - Five
"Pasensya na kayo, medyo magulo ang bahay. At umuwi kasi sa probinsya ang parents ko." pakiwari ni Davina habang nililigpit muna ang mga nakasampay na damit sa sofa at inaayos ang magazines sa tamang kalalagyan.
Pinaupo muna ni Davina ang mga bisita niyang sina Chloe at Cher sa sofa matapos niligpit ang mga kalat.
Sabi pa ni Davina, "Bukod pa kay Giselle, kayong dalawa pa lang ang nainvite ko dito sa bahay."
Commento naman ni Cher, "Mukha nga. Parang wala ka naman masyadong friends sa school maliban kay Giselle."
Sinikuhan naman Chloe si Cher para suwayin sa pagiging sarcastic nito.
Pero, nang iniba na ang topic, sabi ni Davina, "Gusto niyo manood ng tv?"
At binuksan niya ang tv gamit ang remote control. Binigay niya ang remote control kay Chloe para siya ang mamili ng channel ng panoorin niya.
Puri naman ni Cher kay Davina, "Alam mo, Davina? Natutuwa kami sa iyo. Kasi ang tali-talino mo at ang galing-galing mo sa school, nararapat na ikaw ang naging SC President imbes na si Lucia. But, I guess Lucia learned her lesson na huwag maging mayabang."
"Of course, everything comes with a price. Hindi porket nasa itaas ako ngayon, siyempre may mga consequences din akong haharapin." sabi ni Davina
"Oh, really?" duda pa ni Cher.
Taka naman ni Chloe, "Why are there so many consequences? I don't get it. Sa pagkakakilala ko sa iyo, tahimik kang tao at wala ka namang nakaaway sa school."
Nagbuntung-hininga lang si Davina, sinabi niya, "By the way, Chloe, do you really want to be a part of this game? Do you want to get even with Maya and ruin her life?"
"Of course! How?" sagot naman ni Chloe.
At nagsalaysay si Davina, "While Violet and I find some clues who stole our cellphones during the party, we found out someone is watching us. And, I noticed when there is something eerie going on with me and the rest of my friends, there are some markings left behind like text message or notes on a paper. I think someone is haunting us. I don't know who. But, it is up to us to find out!"
"What do you mean, someone way back in grade school seeking for revenge against all of us?" taka naman ni Cher.
"Yeah. And, we found out Lucia is innocent because she got the text message from an anonymous number to keep her busy while that creep stole our cellphones." paliwanag ni Davina.
"Is it Violet making this up? I mean, she is jealous with Maya and her friends, and she felt that she was left behind." ideya naman ni Chloe.
"No. It is not Violet. Violet may be mean, but she is not a psycho. I mean, someone in the circle who is against all of us. And, wanted to ruin our lives." patuloy pa ni Davina.
"Are you accusing that Maya is a psycho?" gulat naman ni Chloe.
"Maybe! And, have you realized why Violet had this scandal video? The reason is, Maya and Fredo are hooking up, and Fredo is so serious with Violet. When Maya found their relationship, she might steal that file from Fredo's. And, she keeps blackmailing Fredo so he obeys whatever she commands."pakiwari pa ni Davina.
"That's really scarry! Ok. Let's forget that incident, please tell me your plans about Maya." sabi naman ni Cher.
"Well, since you befriended the gullible Maverick, it makes Maya angry. I know that she feels insecure about your friendship with her twin. And, even we noticed that Maya is very kind to Maita, it is really obvious that Maita only gets an approval from her older sister. That means, she has low self - esteem. If we could give Maita a little boost of confidence, then she doesn't need an affirmation from Maya. Then, who's left behind?" paliwanag naman ni Davina.
"Well, you think that makes Maya so mad? I mean, look what she had done to my car. I mean, this is really obvious!" pakiwari naman ni Chloe.
"Nope. You are done with your part with Maverick. It is up to me and Violet. I know this is crazy, but we pity the poor girl." sabi ni Davina.
"Now, I get it why Violet is so nice with Maita." natawa si Cher.
"And, Violet noticed since the beginning that Maita is just pretending to be her sister because her personality is different. She knew that Maita could be a good ally against Maya so she made a truce with her." paliwanag ni Davina.
"I know that Violet is up to something." ngisi ni Chloe.
"And, little by little, Maita would notice that she is just a slave, and Maita is her master who makes her life miserable." dagdag pa ni Davina.
"What about Giselle?" usisa ni Chloe.
"Well, as her cousin, I loved her so I am protecting her from her bad influencers. You will feel the same way naman, di ba? So, if I were you, just act like you are gullible so Maya would not make an attack. If she sees you are defensive, she would continuously attacking you. Just enjoy watching the show where the two dogs are barking each other." pakiwari naman ni Davina.
"And Lucia?" tanong ni Cher.
"She is in this game too. I already made a truce with her. She will find out if Maya is hiding something which points out the reason why someone is attacking our group." sagot naman ni Chloe.
And, both of them are surprised.
