515 Extra: The Kindness of Edwin
This time the interview room was in the emergency ward. As soon as someone came in, all four stood up.
One of the boys rushed over first, "I'll take care of it."
Everyone had to deal with an emergency patient, the longer they stayed, the less energy they would have.
From the first round of interviews to the present, they had only drunk water once and never ate. Some of those previously eliminated were unable to complete surgery because of the physical inability to keep up.
The boy rushed over and the other three could only cooperate with him.
The nurse who came in explained that the person had come from the scene of the car accident. Although he seemed to be covered with blood, the blood was not his own but others.
The boy easily concluded that the patient had only a broken leg and a broken rib in his chest.
Plastering, pressing on the plate, fixing the chest strap, everything went smoothly.
The boy said at the patient who yelled, "It's very lucky that your two bones were broken in a car accident, be careful when driving next time."
Everyone else rarely smiled easily, but Sunday stopped the boy, pressed it on the man's lungs, and asked, "Does it hurt?"
"A bit?"
Sunday pressed again on the place of his heart and asked, "Does it hurt?"
"No!"
As soon as Sunday's face changed, she immediately said, "Lung contusion, remove the chest strap!"
If it were Edwin who questioned him at this time, the boy would certainly accept it with an open mind, but now she was a peer of the same age as him, and the boy was immediately unhappy.
"Of course it hurts when you hit a car. He will feel hurt when you press him anywhere. Do you think he has a lung contusion?" The boy sneered, "I know you want to show your ability in front of Doctor Beck, but you don't have to step on me to achieve your goal?"
Sunday said seriously, "I don't need to show off my ability in front of Master Beck. Now I want to tell you that the patient has a lung contusion, and his broken bone is stuck in the lung. If the bone weren’t removed without surgery, it will be too late when he starts to vomit blood."
A boy next to him said, "In that case, let's take another X-ray picture of him again."
They had just taken a film and had concluded that he only had a fracture. Now that Sunday was so dignified, they also started to worry. It was life after all.
However, the film still did not show broken bones pierced into the lungs.
Sunday said, "The film was shot from the front. What if a broken bone penetrates the lungs and is blocked by blood vessels?"
"The thing that even the machine can't film, how can you tell?"
"Because of his symptoms."
In the monitoring room, Edwin looked at Sunday thoughtfully. He also saw the patient's reaction when she pressed him. Damage of the lungs was determined, but it was not necessarily a lung contusion.
Edwin said to Erie, "Let Sunday do it, and let her complete the operation with minimal wounds."
Since she had the ability to perform a heart valve suture operation with only a small wound on the rabbit's chest just now, therefore she should have the ability to perform such a surgery in the chest.
Certainly the surgical machine could do the minimally invasive surgery, but what he saw before was that she did it with her both hands. He wanted to see it again.
Thirty seconds later, Ivy told them that Sunday would complete the following operation.
Then at eight in the evening, Sunday was called to the Dean's office with another boy named George.
As before, the whole situation changed as soon as Sunday saw Edwin.
Her eyes were so hot that Edwin felt difficult to ignore it. Edwin asked George, "When can you come to work officially?"
George was overjoyed, "Now, I can start from now."
Edwin smiled for his enthusiasm.
Edwin set his gaze on Sunday's expectant and nervous face, said calmly, "Your profession is very good. I hope you can stay here."
Sunday nodded desperately, "Thank you, thank you for giving me a chance."
Edwin continued, "You are professional enough, you don't need to be my assistant anymore. You have completed what a surgeon needs to do."
"You, don't you want me to be your assistant?"
"Yes. I invite you to join Galaxy Clinic and become a surgeon here." Edwin was able to invite her so sincerely, in an effort to make himself ignore her eyes and in pure appreciation of her profession and her attitude towards the patient.
"No!" Sunday shook her head. "I'm here to be your assistant."
If she couldn’t be in the same office with him, if she couldn’t get along with him all the time, how could he see her existence?
Not to mention Edwin, even George felt a little difficult to understand and disgusted her insistence.
Edwin waved his hand, "I'm sorry that Galaxy Clinic can't keep you such an excellent doctor."
Sunday eagerly walked over, she didn't want to shake Edwin's hand, and supported herself firmly with both hands on the table. She looked at him anxiously and asked, "I can do surgery as your assistant, and I can do whatever surgery you want me to do."
Her words were messy, "You can rest assured that no matter what kind of the situation, no matter what status, I will do a good operation. I just want to work with you."
Edwin had never seen such a shameless person. If it wasn't for her medical skills that really made him amazing, he would have driven her out.
He silently adjusted his breathing. "Doctors shouldn't care about their positions, but care about where they can save more people."
"I just want to be in the same office with you."
Edwin pointed to the office next door. "My assistant is not in the same office as me."
Sunday said, "I still want."
Edwin finally let go. "Okay, when can you start to work?"
"Now!" Sunday got up immediately.
Looking at the back of Sunday and George leaving, Edwin rubbed his swollen head. This was the first time he had encountered such a suitor who made him helpless.
He didn't like women being too crazy about him, but now he couldn't refuse her medical treatment.
Ivy walked out of the office next door and said, "Master, since you don’t like her so much, why should you let her stay here? Her medicine is so good that she can develop anywhere.”
Edwin shook his head. "It is just because her medicine is so good that I don't want her to go awry."
Edwin had never seen a person to have such a good medical ability at this young age. Sunday was stubborn and clinging. Too many girls now did extreme things because of emotional problems. He didn't want to lose a medical genius for nothing.
He left her in order to gradually make her understand that he was not the right person for her.
On the other hand, he spent a large part of his time in the operating room. He had less time to see more patients. IfSundaywas here, she could also receive some patients while he is away.
Sunday and George left the hospital together, and George was puzzled. "In fact, you can be a surgeon, why do you want to be a little assistant?"
Sunday was still in a state of excitement. "I come because of Master Beck, not to be a surgeon."
What she wanted was to let Edwin see her, if they were not working together, the hospital was so big, how could he remember her?
She was afraid that she must be forgotten by him in a few days.
