500 Would You Be Sad If I Died?
Nick glanced at Jack, "Do you know what I mean?"
Jack lowered his head, "I am sorry, please the master tells me clearly."
Nick turned and looked out the door. The verdant forest was so green that it could drip water and it was very eye-catching. But Nick narrowed his eyes as if dazzling.
His lazy voice carried an indescribable majesty: "The old man asked you to follow me, just for fear that I would kill Charles."
Jack's head was getting lower, but his face was not panicked, "The Second Master."
Nick glanced at him and snorted coldly, "How many people have we lost during the assassination of this half-century? But Charles has not even hurt his hair."
"The only time Charles was injured in these years was the time I shot myself. After that, you said that you would be responsible for all the actions of Charles. Because I was so injured, I wouldn't be able to do it myself. You are the most intelligent in my group at the time. Even though Charles was extremely intelligent, he could never get hurt again and again."
Jack didn't retort, but just wondered, "When did the Second Master start to doubt me? Since you have already doubted me, why should you take me with you?"
"I suspected you a few years ago, but there was no evidence. My favorite horse head was cut off and put on my bed this summer. You should know that I never sleep on the bed, and the room where the bed was placed was just for the outside. But the horse's head stayed on until I see it. With your meticulousness, how could you wait until I find it? You were the same as Charles, but you just wanted to give me a warning and let me be obedient, never hurt him again."
"As for why I should take you by my side?" Nick sighed. "Because there are some things only you know. And I think it’s time for me to know."
Jack lowered his head and stopped talking.
At this time, Nick had already spoken this to him. What he explained was meaningless.
Nick said, "Although you are the old man’s people, anyway, I have been your master over the years. Please tell us everything."
Jack looked down, still with a respectful look, "I will tell everything I know."
"Did the old man ask you to join my group because he was afraid that I would harm Charles?"
Jack said, "No, the former king asked me to join the second lord’s group, because he wanted to train me as an assistant minister, and after the former king died to assist the King of the Sea. Roy was responsible for the land, and I was responsible for the Kingdom of the Sea."
"It turned out to be so. Since you are the important minister, after the incident, you didn’t show your identity to Charles, but still will leave the Kingdom of the Sea with me? You follow me, is it the old man's advice, or your own decision?"
Jack lowered his head. "It was the former king’s decision."
Nick finally turned around, and he looked sideways at him. "Tell me how the old man let you follow me? Is it the same as I guessed, so as to prevent me from killing Charles?"
"Yes." Jack didn't conceal. "You are completely right."
A strand of sadness flashed across Nick's eyes. "Since it was the old man's advice, it shows that the incident was always a conspiracy, a conspiracy that forced me to leave the Kingdom of the Sea, wasn't it?"
"The Second Master, it's not a conspiracy." Jack looked up at him, and there was a touch of compassion in his eyes. "It was the protection of you from the former king."
"Protection?" Nick smiled arrogantly. "In order to stabilize the throne of Charles, he was determined to frame me a title of grabbing his corpse and attempting rebellion, forcing me to leave my hometown for nearly a century. I even can't kowtow on my mother's grave every year. He let me bear the crime of infidelity, and made me bear the name of filial piety. Is this to protect me?"
Jack lowered his head, telling him respectfully and calmly, "The Second Master, the former king had his own difficulties."
Nick looked at him and smiled. "Why don't tell me what kind of trouble he had?"
Jack lowered his head. "The former king only said that he had his own difficulties. I dare not more deeply."
"Does Charles know the old man's difficulties?"
Jack didn't dare to look up. "I don't know the business of the former king and the King of the Sea, so I have no right to ask more."
Nick no longer forced him, but turned his head silently, looking at the lush forest again, narrowing his eyes, "Two hundred years, it has been too long." His voice was low, and he whispered softly, "Live till now, I feel enough."
Jack knelt down immediately, "The second lord, the former king hoped you will be healthy, and live in peace all life. Please do not let him down."
Nick said to himself, "Bell still has ten days of life. If I and Charles accompany her to die, she should not feel lonely."
Jack looked at him in shock, "The Second Master!"
Was he going to fight Charles to death?
If it was in the past, based on the entrust of the former king, Charles would not face Nick directly. But now, Bella was in Nick's hands, Jack was afraid that Charles would not let him go.
If these two people really wanted to fight seriously, it might be even worse than ten years ago.
Nick glanced at him lightly, "Rest assured, the tree of life is already recovering, I may not be able to hurt him as badly as I did a decade ago. Maybe I will die. At that time, you can show your identity to Charles, you can still return to the Kingdom of the Sea, back to your homeland, and see your family."
Jack said, "You are my only family member."
Nick sneered, "I can't afford a family like you." Turning his words, he turned to look at him and said, "Maybe I will still bother you to collect the body for me."
Jack kowtowed heavily on the ground. "The Second Lord, life is hope. The Second Master, please don't let down the former king, don't let down your mother."
"I can only fulfill their wishes after I die."
Nick looked at the gloomy sky and said, "These days, Charles's mood is really bad. You see, if he is such an irresponsible King of the Sea, if he can die in my hands, it can be regarded as welfare for all people."
Before Jack spoke, he turned and walked out the door.
Bella was sitting in front of the window, looking outside the window, her mind was blank.
She lowered her head and looked at the phone that wasn't switched on, and shuddered.
"Open it, just turn on the phone. It will take less than five minutes for Charles to appear here." Nick's voice came in from the window.
Bella looked up shallowly, seeing Nick lying at the window indifferently smiling at her, shrinking his hands and putting her phone on the sofa.
Her voice was soft. "I didn't switch on."
She didn't dare to open it even if she wanted to.
She knew that Charles would know her location once she opened the phone.
"Bella!" Nick looked at her on the window, with an enchanting smile on his face, like a harmless teenager.
"Um." Bella answered him softly. Her mind was in a mess now, which was full of painful pictures of Edwin's rejection.
"If I die, will you be sad?" Nick asked.
Jack lowered his head, "I am sorry, please the master tells me clearly."
