497 Scratching Her Hair

Bella did not speak or deny.

Because Nick did make sense, Charles did use the Battered-Body Trick.

However, even if she knew it was the Battered-Body Trick, Bella was still doing it, and she still felt sad for him.

Because Charles’ Battered-Body Trick was just to show her all the facts.

In the past, Charles was disdainful to show his pain to outsiders. Now, in order to let her go back, he was willing to explode his sadness in public. Charles, who showed his downfall in front of the public in this way, distressed her.

Bella sobbed and covered her mouth, sobbing, as if the cubs were neighing, fragile and desperate.

Nick took her into his arms, letting her tears fall into his arms, so that she could not see the jealousy in his eyes.

He no longer sneered as before, but very quietly comforted her, "Don’t cry, don’t cry again, if you cry again, I will never show it to you again."

Bella tried to restrain her crying, but her voice was still sobbing.

Nick sighed, "If you cry anymore, I will kiss you."

Bella stopped crying, but kept twitching in his arms.

She pushed him away, stood up, and went straight to the door.

Nick stood up immediately and followed, "Where are you going? Are you going to find him?"

He was agitated and his emotion was a little out of control.

Bella didn't answer him and walked directly outside the door.

Nick chased after without even thinking. He was about to grab her arm and saw her walk to the easel and picked up the paintbrush.

He breathed a sigh of relief, leaning against the promenade pillar, and seemed a little tired.

At that moment, he realized that he was so afraid of her leaving.

He leaned on his sleeves and watched her gesture quickly fly on the drawing board.

He looked at her so quietly, sometimes she frowned, sometimes chuckled, sometimes groaned, sometimes sorrowful, sometimes she smiled...

Her expression was very rich, the most he had ever seen since he met her.

But no matter what kind of expression she showed, her eyes were still full of tears.

The tearful smile, the frivolous tears, the thought of weeping, touched him deeply.

At that moment, he understood why Steven would love her so much.

She was really wonderful.

What did she think of? Who was she thinking about? Who was she drawing?

Was it Charles? It was impossible.

He was full of curiosity, but he endured all curiosity.

Bella drew quickly, but she was thinking a lot of time, remembering what Charles said.

Bryant's eyes were like hers, his face looked like Charles, he had the same fishtail as Charles, and Bryant loved to cry, but he stopped crying when he was held by Charles...

When Bella finally let go of her strokes, it was already noon, and Jack stood at the door and asked Nick to eat, and Nick signaled him to leave with his eyes.

Seeing her putting down her pen, Nick walked over with a smile as usual, with sarcasm, "Oh, what are you painting?"

He stood behind her, looking at the drawing board, and got stunned.

In the canvas there was a cute little merperson. He had fair skin and exquisite features. Except for those black and bright eyes, the face looked like Charles when he turned into Baron.

Bella didn't look back, but her voice sounded smiling. "This is my son. His name is Bryant William."

"Bryant William?"

Nick's face changed, and he asked coldly, "Did Charles give him the name?"

"No," said Bella, "I heard it was given by Bryant's grandfather."

Nick quickly took her hand, dragged her back to the hall, threw her on a bench, and said viciously, "Take the meal."

Bella was used to his uncertainty. She was the woman of his enemy, and it was impossible for him to be gentle with her.

Bella rubbed her red wrist and was about to reach for chopsticks. He held her hand.

His eyes seemed to be apologetic, and he reached out and rubbed the swollen red mark for her. He called Jack, "Go to get the apocatastasis medicine."

Jack said embarrassedly, "The second master, we are in a hurry this time and haven’t brought it."

They didn’t even have enough food now, how could they bring the dispensable medicine for apocatastasis?

Bella pulled back her hand and said indifferently, "I am fine, it doesn't hurt now."

"Bella, it is always said that people tend to tell the truth before they die, why do you lie?" Nick looked at the red mark on her thin and pale skin, "Even if you say you hurt, I won't laugh at you."

Bella picked up chopsticks and said, "Because I don't want to bother you."

Nick smiled again. "I thought you were afraid that I would be guilty."

Bella looked at him with amusement, "Will you feel guilty?"

"Of course." Nick was shameless.

Bella no longer spoke. She wanted to wait for the canvas to dry, and she would hang Bryant’s portrait on the wall, watching it every day and every hour.

Her little Bryant looked so beautiful.

Nick saw her smile while eating, he hit her bowl by his chopsticks, which startled Bella.

"What are you doing?" Bella was really frightened and a little angry.

Nick knocked her bowl with chopsticks, which was a great disrespect to her.

Nick looked at her with a funny look, "You are eating my food, thinking of another man. The one who should be angry is me?"

"After I die, I will give you the cost of living these days. But please let me live the rest of my life with dignity."

"The rest of your life? You only have eighteen days."

Bella no longer talked to him, because she knew if she fought with him, she might not be able to survive for eighteen days.

When Bella was about to get up after dinner, Nick grabbed her long hair, and the pain in her scalp made her sit back on the chair again.

"Nick, you're crazy. Can’t you say by your mouth if you have something?" Bella arranged her long hair and yelled at him angrily.

There were thousands of ways to call her, but he did pull her hair.

Nick had a moment of pause. The moment she got up, he didn't actually want to say anything to her. He simply thought that looking at her long hair was very beautiful, like a ribbon. He just wanted to have a try to see how it felt, if it was as slippery as black satin.

Bella was so angry that her body was trembling, when would people scratch her hair?

When the two women were fighting, when they were caught by the enemy or when they were caught without dignity and were abused. That feeling was badly wrong.

Bella shouted at him with some uncontrollable feelings, "Nick, you're enough. If you are really capable, just kill me now to make Charles angry. Why do you bully a woman here? And you still bully a woman who is about to die. You are such a useless man.”

Nick came back to his mind, and his hand holding her hair was loose, and the black hairline leaked from his palm. It was bright and smooth, it really looked like satin.

Nick let go of his hand, his mind was pulled back, and looked at her with an enchanting smile, "I am capable or not, have you tried it?"

"You are an apocatastasis, a hooligan!" Bella yelled at him.
