408 Intruders

Before Bella arrived at the third floor, she saw Charles walking downstairs.

Charles directly picked her up, "Where are you going?"

Bella smiled, "I am going to look for you. Wherever you go, I will be there."

It sounded like a love word, Charles’s mood became good for no reason.

"I will go back to my room." Charles smiled brilliantly, flashing the eyes of Ziv who came over.

Ziv silently retreated aside, trying to hide himself.

Bella smiled, "Okay."

She thought that Charles wanted to find a place to tell her what they had told.

Without taking two steps, Clair stopped her, "Bell."

"Clair..." Bella then saw Clair who was after Charles. She patted Charles’s shoulder and signed him that she would talk to Clair.

"Ziv!" Charles completely ignored her sign, called Ziv, directly holding Bella and leaving.

"Bell..." Clair was anxious to chase after.

"Please stay here." Ziv immediately stopped in front of him without any expression.

Clair was anxious. "I have something important to tell her."

"The lady is pregnant now, she has to rest quietly."

Ziv said these words with no expression, but this was true, and Clair became silent. Bell was indeed pregnant.

Ziv saw that he was not struggling, he was also relieved. He said, "Mr. Clair, we have prepared the room well, please come with me."

Clair went down with a little disappointment and followed Ziv to the backyard.

It was certainly impossible for Charles to let people stay in the main villa. In his subconscious mind, he thought that living in the main villa was in the same house as Bella. Even if the house was very large and the room was far apart, he would have the feeling that Bella was being in the same room with others.

This was also the reason why he arranged Katherine to live in the backyard. In his subconscious, he thought that the main villa was the home of him and Bella, no one could insert it.

"Clair said that he could cure my father. You should treat him better next time." Bella was a little unsatisfied.

Charles put her on the bed and raised his eyebrows. "I have saved him. Why don't you say that you should treat me well?"

"Am I not good enough for you?"

"Well, my wife treats me the best." Even if he knew that she was pretending to be angry, Charles was also coaxing her. Seeing that she still didn’t respond to him, he told her what Clair had said to him. "He said that he has a treatment plan, but he needs to meet with the father-in-law to be sure."

"He is not sure?"

Charles sighed. "He is not the god. He needs to see the patient to decide everything."

Bella was a little guilty. It was true that if Clair said he could cure Edwin before he saw him, then they needed to doubt him.

"I will call him and arrange for him to go down."

Charles laughed, "You are not really stupid."

Bella pretended to be angry. "I didn’t notice it because I was so excited when I knew he could save my father."

But no matter how excited she was, she wouldn’t take Clair up the mountain directly.

Because the Peak Garden was a particularly secret existence, unless the cronies, outsiders couldn’t be brought to the Peak Garden, because it was also the last foundation of the Beck.

Although Clair, himself was not a dangerous person, it was difficult to ensure that Cather didn’t set some tracks on him.

Therefore, for the sake of security, Bella still called to arrange for Edwin to go down the mountain.

Bella phoned, Edwin said that today was late, he felt a little tired, plus there was snow on the mountain, it was dangerous to go down the mountain now.

Bella was very anxious, and even proposed that she could let Charles teleport him.

Edwin laughed. "I don't want to try new things with my old bones. I want to live a few more days."

Bella heard his rejection and had to give up.

She really wanted to know quickly if Clair could save her father or not.

"Charles, I feel father isn’t really excited about this." Bella leaned in Charles's arms and was somewhat worried. "His medical skills is so good that he even can't cure himself. He must disbelieve that Clair can save him.”

Edwin was a genius in the fields of biology and medicine. He did disbelieve in the proposal of Bella. He already had nothing to do with himself. He didn’t believe that there would be a person in the world who could save him. Even Charles couldn’t let him live.

In order to convince Edwin, Bella let Charles take her back to the top of the mountain at night.

Edwin seemed to have slept because of his bad state. Bella also slept because of coming back and forth. So she didn’t know what Charles and Edwin said in the study in the middle of the night.

Charles told Edwin about Clair, Edwin was still dubious. "Even if he cloned the brain cells of my healthy period, it would not prove that he can save my life."

"It deserves a try." Charles said.

Edwin smiled. "Do you know what the most painful thing is for a blind person?"

"No." Charles knew that he had something to say.

"It is to give him three days of light." Edwin looked a little serious. "Hope for a desperate person who has given up resistance, it is not a light, but despair after disappointment."

What was sadder than despair was the sadness of the people around him.

Originally, he did not have to see such a sad face when he was alive, but because the hopes fell out again and over again, everyone was saddened, as if he was dead at the moment.

He did not need the sorrow of anyone, it was good to live, and for now he had no regrets after his death.

He did not want to add more loss to Bell.

He felt the excitement of Bella through the phone. This kind of excitement made him fear. He knew that once Clair could not save him, Bell would be lost. She was pregnant now, and if the child was influenced by her, it could be a big or small thing.

He was going to die, and he didn’t want Bella to have anything wrong because of him.

Charles knew his worries, he was shocked beside his surprise.

Edwin worried about Bella so much that he was even concerned about her emotions. He secretly vowed that his love for Bell could not be compared, and that he should take care of Bell more in the future.

This was the power of the family.

Because he knew that she had a backing, because he knew that she had felt better treatment than he had given to her, fearing that she would give up him because he was not good to her.

"If you don't go to see Clair, I'm afraid Bell will not be happy."

Edwin kept silent for a moment. "If I really have to see him, Bell should not be on the spot."

In that case, even if it was impossible to heal, Bell was not there, they could tell her by discretion. She wouldn’t be too sad.

Charles agreed, "Well, I will let her stay here tomorrow."

"Fine." Edwin also compromised.

The next day, Edwin and Charles went down to see Clair.

Because there was still snow in the mountains, Edwin let Bella stay in the mountains, in case the road was too slippery and influenced the child.

Although Bella felt it a pity that she couldn't listen to what Clair said on the spot, but Edwin's concerns were right, therefore she didn’t reject and stayed on the mountain.

Later, Steven received a phone call from Carl and went down the mountain. Bella then was alone in the yard to enjoy the snow and waiting for them back.

"Long time no see!" An evil voice sounded.
