Chapter 133 - Wanted to Take Care of Herself
His car was moving forward, and the city and buildings were gradually being left behind.
The car shook as it moved, and Bella felt a little sick. She hadn’t eaten today.
“My Lord, where are we going?” She was weak.
It was almost impossible to find a place that sold water or food on the way to the suburbs.
Charles didn’t care about her, so she had to think of herself. She wanted something to eat, and drink some water, for she had given her blood that morning.
“Katherine went out of town.” He had enough blood to recover today, and he was able to sense Katherine's position, she was evidently not in the city.
“Do you know where she is?”
“I don't know exactly.” He said, “But I know where she might hide when she's upset.”
“Well.” She quickly turned her head, leaning weakly on the back of the seat. “I hope there's a store on the way.” Bella’s stomach gurgled.
He just kept silent.
In fact, he was restless in his own mind, and he knew Katherine would hide when she was upset. It was all because of him. Last night, he pushed her away when she was naked.
In fact, he didn’t actually know if Katherine's disappearance was because of her or him.
Bella didn’t know how long they had been driving. The feeling of sickness spread over her chest. Every time he suddenly stopped the car, she could stand for a while, and pacify her breath.
However, each time they stopped, they just stood there then got back on the road and continued to drive.
She was curious, “She's probably not far away.”
“Shut up.”
Bella stopped talking, she was unable to sit still in her seat. Her head became groggy, and she could feel the need to vomit.
As the sun was setting, she hadn't eaten, and she hadn’t drunk anything all day. She was going to eat something at noon when she met her client, but now the client is gone, the money is gone, and she will be vilified.
She could only force a smile.
The car finally stopped at the top of the mountain. It was warm and not particularly dark, but the pastel sky was quickly darkening.
Charles didn't leave as he did before but walked around and stopped.
At last, he began to look for Katherine.
The wind ripped around the mountain. It was a secluded spot, so there were no city lights. Under the dark night sky, only the headlights illuminated the surroundings.
She stood still, looking at Charles. Suddenly his pace increased to a tree.
She walked a few steps closer, and within the beam of the headlight, she saw a crooked pathetic figure under the tree.
She stopped, and it appeared that he had found Katherine.
Sure enough, he went to her, stretched out his hand to hold her shoulder, and turned her over.
Under the light, Bella saw Katherine's face.
Katherine turned around, looked up at the man in front of her, and cried out, “Charles.”
“Katherine!” he embraced her in his arms tightly.
Katherine held out her hand and held him back.
At the same time, Katherine saw Bella who stood not far away.
She smiled at her and lowered her head in his arms. She asked quietly, “Charles, were you worried about me?”
Now that Bella was here, she wanted to let her see how she took him back.
“Why did you leave without a word? And your phone was turned off.”
“I'm sorry. I left a message. I just wanted to walk.”
“What message? If you wanted to take a walk, you could order someone to follow you. You just came here and didn't know anyone. Yes, I would worry about you?”
“I didn't want anyone to follow me. I just wanted to take a walk alone.” She gave him a hard hug, “It's not gonna happen again. I'm sorry, I made you worry about me again. I didn't mean to. I wanted to come home when I felt better so my bad mood wouldn’t affect you. I'm sorry.”
“Bad mood? Why?”
“It's nothing.” She held him tight, “Next time I promise, as long as I'm in a bad mood, I'll find you, so I'll be better right away.”
He looked at her and ran her wind-tousled hair through his fingers. He whispered, “Tell me why.”
Katherine glanced at Bella, and dramatically retracted into his arms.
Charles naturally could not ignore this behaviour. He had a good sense of Bella, he would not have to look back, to see her clearly.
He couldn't help but look at the wind that blew through her hair, blocking half of her face, and her skirt stretched out under the darkness, making her look very thin and fragile.
Bella pushed her hair behind her ear as she saw them embrace each other and turned to leave.
She didn’t want to stay here.
“Stop.” His voice fell on her.
She hesitated, “Anything wrong?”
Her staying here would disturb them.
“I had not said you could leave,” he said.
The distance was not too far, the lights were shining, and Bella could see his expression. Cold and cruel.
Her heart hurt badly. She forgot Charles had said that he wanted her to see how he treated Katherine well.
There were some people she could not bully. Bully? She wanted to laugh, but her greatest wish was that one day she could not be intimidated.
Now, some people are afraid of her bullying?
“Okay, fine! I’m staying.” She answered.
If he continued to hurt her, would she stop loving him?
Katherine flapped into his arms, and asked, “Charles, do you like her that much that you don’t want her to leave?”
Her voice trembled with endless fear.
“You fool.” His voice was very stable, “I asked her to watch.”
“What?”
He did not answer her question positively, and asked, “Katherine, why were you in a bad mood and run away from home?”
