Chapter 117 - Accepting the Threats

Bella swallowed the food in her throat, put down her cutlery, and said to Charles. “I’m full, please enjoy your meal, my Lord.”

In fact, her temper had not been very tolerant, but her mother always wanted her to be a patient person, to be an understanding woman. Therefore, Lynn bullied her because she was afraid that Len would turn to abuse her mother.

The woman dared to run away from home.

“Charles, do you not like me anymore?” Katherine took his hand with grievances in her eyes, “Are you not willing to stay with me while I eat?”

Charles frowned, his head hurt, “Don’t think too much.”

“Then, you will come with me to the beach for a walk, okay? I had always dreamed of going to the beach with you.” Katherine looked up at him and demanded.

“Okay,” Charles said. Also, he could see where Bella dared to run.

The sea seemed very calm, and Bella stood at the beach while watching the dark water move under the night light, she felt the gentleness of the breeze. It seemed as if there was a pair of warm hands with a little moist air that wiped the tears in her eyes.

Her heart was pained as if someone had put their hand in her chest and grabbed it, if they added a little force, her heart would burst.

What should she do? If she went on like this, she might die before she got pregnant if they continued to show off their love in front of her like they did today.

She stood quietly with her arms around her chest, letting the gentle sea breeze surround her body.

Bella’s heart shivered heavily, and the bitterness in her stomach moved like the water, continually shifting up, and it even took her breath little by little.

He was a rich man who could help her mother. So Bella turned around, and the picture of the handsome man and the beautiful woman hugging in front of her eyes deeply hurt her.

Why did they want to be so cruel to her, why did they want to dig out her feelings and insult her?

She looked at him, her voice was light, “My Lord.”

“Katherine is talking to you.” Charles looked at her faintly. However, the desperation in her eyes deeply shocked him, and his voice automatically became softer.

Bella said lightly, “Sorry, I couldn’t hear that.”

Charles knew that Bella was never an obedient woman, but he did not expect that she dared to challenge him in front of Katherine.

Under the night sky, the figures kissed each other. Her heart felt like a knife had been pushed into it. She could not walk away slowly, so she ran off the beach in a hurry. Her pace was messy and quick.

Hurriedly she ran into the villa, for she didn't want others to see the tears in her eyes. As she entered she slammed right into Roy.

“Milady...” Roy stumbled backward, holding back the pain in his chest and politely greeted her.
