Chapter 106 – The Morning After

Bella rushed to the dining room in a hurry, she did not care that her body was still sore and her hair was not combed.

She never thought that Charles would treat to her differently even after what had happened between them last night. He usually was gentle in bed, but cruel out of bed.

She arrived in the dining room and found him there.

Bella exhaled and took a look at the clock that hung on the wall; it was fourteen minutes to eight.

“My Lord, I had gone to your room, but you were not there. Can you kindly forgive my lateness?” Bella stood next to him and explained, panting heavily, and enduring the discomfort of her body.

She really could not afford to have more money deducted.

Charles lifted his head when he heard her voice, looked at her, who wore a light yellow nightdress and her hair somewhat disordered, her bright eyes were gleaming with worry.

All her nightdresses were created by Elsa for the purpose of their nighttime activities, and this one was translucent. She just woke up and had nothing under the dress.

Charles’s face darkened, and he threw his fork on the table.

Money was so important for this woman? She even wore last night’s nightdress, which she wore when they were intimate, into a common area.

Ziv and Roy were stunned by her appearance and lowered their heads in a hurry after realizing, fearing punishment from Charles.

Bella’s heart was sad and constricted, as she watched his face turn dark. Nothing had changed after she confessed her love, except she was more humiliated than ever.

She held her upset inside, lowered her head, and stared at her feet; She said anxiously, “I went to your room first.”

As their rooms were on the same level, where the entire floor was carpeted, she ran barefoot unwarily to his bedroom at the time. But now in the dining room, she realized she was still barefoot.

“Bella, who do you want to seduce wearing this dress?” Charles’s eyes swept down her translucent dress, as he noticed the bruises on her naked skin, which reminded him of the passionate night, his throat tightened suddenly because of the erotic memories.

Bella caught his gaze that dropped on her body, and then she remembered that she still wore the nightdress.

As her room was next to Charles’ room, and only female servants were on that floor, she usually went to his bedroom with a sweater over her dress, so that he could take her blood conveniently. But she was in such a rush this morning and forgot to put on a sweater.

Now she stood in the dining room with such an appearance.

She was embarrassed that she wished desperately to find a hole on the ground to crawl into. How could she behave so disgracefully just because of money? When did she begin to live a life like this?

He suddenly stood up and swept her off her feet; Charles walked quickly to Bella’s room.

His said coldly, “Bella, you wanted to seduce me, you must suffer the consequences.”

Bella was thrown onto the bed, thankfully the bed was soft, she hit the bed violently.

Before she could realize what happened, his firm body covered her.

“No, No. You will be late, there is a meeting at 9:30 this morning.” She stuttered and tried to remind him under her secretary’s duty, “You, you should take my blood as soon as possible, or you will be late.”

There was lust throbbing in his eyes, he said, “You have successfully seduced me.”

“I am sorry, I could not find you, and I was just in a hurry. I’m not lying. Please, please.” Bella was anxious, and kept begging him, “Although I am your wife, if I don’t get to work in two hours, they will gossip about me.”

When her voice stopped, her body was filled by him. Her eyes wide with shock, “How, how can you…”

Charles was perfectly dressed on his upper half, so elegantly, but his lower half was naked already. As she had not washed last night and she was still wet, he could intrude into her smoothly even though she was not ready.

“You are my wife, who dare to gossip about you.” Charles lifted his eyebrows and gazed at her, there was full out desire in his eyes.

Bella fixed her eyes on him, and murmured, “Don’t you have to go find Katherine today?”

“Shut up.” Charles covered her mouth in anger and thrust quickly.

Bella’s heart got heavier. He knew who he loved. But he just liked to torture her.

She wanted to take his hand away, but in vain, she could not move it a bit. At last, Charles removed his hand, he had almost smothered her for her eyes had rolled, but he warned her ruthlessly, “Shut up.”

Bella sat up by grabbing his shoulders, as her legs snaked around his waist, and sent her slim shoulder under his mouth, “Bite me.”

She did not want to waste her time with him.

Charles bent his head on her small round shoulder and bit hard.

He did not stop when her skin bled, but his bite was sharp like a beast. She pulled her head back and cried out.

It was so painful!

He wiped the blood from his lips, took a look at her sad looking face with tears in her eyes. He snorted, “Don’t say that again when you are afraid of pain.”

He removed himself from her body and went to the bathroom to clean himself. Soon he came out and changed back in his handsome and graceful figure.

Bella’s body trembled from pain and tiredness.

She teetered to the bathroom when he came out. He grabbed her arm when she went past him, “I give you one day off.”

“If my money will be deducted for a day off, I don’t want it.” Bella shook her head. She wanted to pull her arm away, but she could not, and looked at him pleading, “My Lord, please let me go.”

If she could hurry up and didn’t have breakfast, she might be able to catch the bus to go to work.

He was in a sudden confusion by seeing her submissive manner. But he could not abuse her, as there was nothing wrong with her behaviour, he withdrew his hand automatically.

She washed as fast as she could and rushed to the gate but was startled by finding Charles’s car was still at the entrance.

He had not left yet!

“Milady.” Ziv stood by the car and bowed to her respectfully.

Bella turned sideways, and asked him hesitatingly, “The Lord, is here?”

Ziv gave her a strange look, and answered softly, “Yes.”

Bella turned and looked over her shoulder, and found Charles standing behind her. He said nonchalantly, “Get in the car.”

She paused before she decided to get in.

She sat beside him but kept a slight distance from him.

“Thank you for waiting for me!” She thanked him. She knew she might not be able to catch the bus for work at this point in time.

Charles eyed his document and said slowly, “It is just because you confessed your love last night.”

Bella blushed immediately, and said, “Actually, my Lord, can you forget what I had said last night? You can pretend that you didn’t hear it.”

Charles clenched the files in his hand; he was unexpectedly confused by her quiet and submissive act.

However, it was what he wanted her to be, wasn’t it?
