Chapter 101 - Annoyed
Charles Williams looked at the janitor, “Where did she go after?”
He was now eager to know the whereabouts of Katherine, not too much time to notice that Bella was still there. She had been standing not far from him, and he had not noticed.
Perhaps he had seen her, but he had no time to take care of it.
She heard the cleaner still reporting treacherously. “She first cursed me in English, but I didn't understand it and then she cursed me again in Greek. When she left, she said that she was in a bad mood.”
Charles listened, Bella could not see any emotions from his profile, “Where did you see her go?”
“I saw her take a taxi.”
After he listened to the cleaner’s statement, Charles kept his lips tight and said nothing.
Everyone that was there seemed to disappear in an instant, and there were only raindrops.
For a while, Bella saw that he had smiled, “Since she had come, she will appear sooner or later. If she does not appear, I will find her even if I have to turn the whole city upside down.”
Hearing this Bella’s heart hurt even more.
“Get two teams to check the hotels. Ziv follow me...” Charles looked back and saw Bella standing in the rain with her clothes all wet, staring at him with her eyes shining brightly, her mouth was slightly open, just like a fish that had been thrown ashore, breathing hard.
The smile on his lips dissipated, and the twilight sank. “Bella Williams, why are you still here?”
Ziv lowered his head.
“I said I won't go back.”
Charles looked at her with eyes that shone danger and stepped towards her slowly.
Bella’s lips were white. After being exposed to the rain for so long, her whole face was ashen. However, she stood still in the same place, the rain hit her face, her eyes did not blink, just looked at him, like a deer standing in front of a moving car. Frightened and confused but had lost the power to escape.
Soon, Charles took the umbrella from Ziv and covered her. At the same time, he grabbed her chin.
Not waiting for Charles to ask questions, Bella took the lead. “Do you know why I came here?”
Charles asked angrily, “Why?”
“Because I want to see Katherine,” Bella replied very straight. “I heard when you answered the phone. I just wanted to see what she was like.”
But she didn't expect that Charles wouldn’t see Katherine, not to mention her.
Charles's eyes were as deep as the sea and said. “Just wanted to see her?”
“Yes.”
He put force on his fingers, and her face pulled, Bella rushed to him immediately.
His voice was as cold as a shining blade, slamming into her heart. “Bella Williams, do you know that you have always challenged my patience.”
“I really just wanted to see who Katherine Evelyn was. Just wanted to see.” Bella endured the pain. “I didn’t have any other motive. I just wanted to see what the one who my child would call mother looked like.”
Bella looked at him, and she didn't know what was going on. Sadness suddenly filled her heart. Her clear soul faintly darkened and she felt great sorrow. “Charles Williams, actually, you love Katherine so much, you, I don’t know, how to say it...”
Bella paused, and her brow slowly wrinkled.
“You love her so much. Since knowing that she was here, you kept looking for her in desperation. You love her, but you married me. You know that she would not accept it.”
She couldn’t accept it either.
“Bella Williams.” Charles’s voice was so cold that it trembled. “It is not your turn to make gestures to my business.”
“I, I didn’t.” Bella bowed her head. “I was just, just...”
Just what?
Bella didn't know.
Initially, Charles’ heart was filled with pent-up anger: Katherine Evelyn arrived, he didn't see her, and now Bella was here to make irresponsible remarks.
He looked at her aggrieved appearance, and the anger that was supposed to be sent out was inexplicably destroyed. The heart seemed to be stunned by something faint.
“Just what? Tell me clearly!”
It’s just that since Katherine was here, how could I give you a child with peace of mind?
Bella suddenly blinked and quickly lowered her head. What was she doing, what could she be crying for? She had always known that he had a fiancée, doesn't he? She always knew that she was just an incubator, why would she feel sad?
“Bella!” Charles's voice blew above her head.
She wiped her tears gracefully and looked up at him.
She promised to listen to him from now on and try not to resist.
“Were you crying just now?”
Charles looked at her usual clear eyes with a touch of red, and her eyelashes were stained with a transparent liquid.
His heart suddenly hurt, and even his tone was mild. “I didn't do anything to you, why were you crying?”
Bella retorted, “I wasn’t crying. It was the rain.”
He had clearly covered her with an umbrella.
Charles glanced at her questionably. “Give me a smile.”
She looked up at him. “Is that an order?”
“Yes.”
Then she laughed.
Bella took a deep breath and forced a smile. When her lips raised, she could not hold back the tears. They streamed down her pale cheeks and fell onto his hand which held the umbrella.
Her lips shook so severely that she couldn’t hold her smile, but she deliberately lowered her eyes. “This was the sun.”
At that moment, to Charles, it seemed that something was thumping in his heart, he suddenly threw the umbrella and bowed his head to kiss her lips.
This woman was too annoying.
She used to be very argumentative, he was annoyed; now she was sweet, he was still annoyed, annoying enough to make his heart hurt.
Why does this annoying woman in front of him to have the genes of a mermaid? It was undoubtedly to torment him.
Charles unscrupulously opened her teeth and plundered the beauty of her lips.
Bella leaned in his arms idly, letting him invade her.
Tears mixed with rain from the trembling eyelashes fell. She felt that she had exhausted all her power to bear this kiss.
She didn't know what this kiss meant for Charles, but she knew what this kiss meant for herself.
The rain dampened both people, but Charles didn't care, and the tip of his tongue entangled hers, difficult to tell them apart.
He was now eager to know the whereabouts of Katherine, not too much time to notice that Bella was still there. She had been standing not far from him, and he had not noticed.
