Chapter 100 - Stubborn

“Well.” The driver was an enthusiastic middle-aged man. Who looked at Bella’s tears and nervous appearance, he comforted. “It is not easy for two people to be together. Although it was not right for him to leave by the street, but everyone's temper is different. He didn’t do well to you in this point, but he will definitely have other chances, right? It is necessary for us to focus on your partner’s good qualities and that’s how to maintain a relationship.”

Good qualities? Of course, Charles had many good assets, rich, handsome, helping his employees wash their grievances, finding her the first time when she disappeared, buying water for her when he was clearly impatient...

Bella sat in the back seat and said nothing, the rain outside the window fell harder and harder, and she felt colder and colder. It seemed that her heart was wrapped by thick ice, and the cold air flew through her veins to every part of the body.

One minute, he was kissing her regardless of her struggle, but the next second she was left on the side of the road, without even an umbrella in such powering weather. All of this was just because Katherine Evelyn was here.

Bella looked blankly through the window at the raindrops. She didn't know why she had to keep up.

What does it mean that she needed to follow him?

She wanted to go, wanted to see what Katherine looked like, and wanted to see what kind of woman Charles Williams likes. Although she knew that Katherine would not look like her.

What if Charles found out that she followed him? Maybe he would be furious, then lick her neck and put her aside. Bella touched her neck and thought that she’d better be far away from him at that time. Just hide in the distance and take a look.

There were few cars on the airport road. The driver stopped the vehicle, and his gentle voice came, “Girl, you are here. Your boyfriend's car has stopped.” His voice was soft and warm.

Bella gave him the money and said, “Thank you.”

She got out of the car, and it was still raining. She waited until the driver drove away then walked in the direction where Charles’s car was parked.

Every exit of the international airport was filled with Charles’s people, and they checked everyone coming out of it carefully, for fear that Katherine Evelyn would slip away.

Bella saw them even check men.

Were they afraid that she would dress up as a man?

Because of the checks, more and more people gathered at the exits.

Everyone seemed a little anxious, but no one dared to complain.

Bella saw Charles, who stood at one exit.

He stood on one side of the exit, with one hand in his trouser pocket, his figure tall and straight, like a pine tree.

Standing by his side was Ziv, who held a black umbrella over Charles's head.

It seemed that Katherine had not arrived yet. So, should she go over?

Suddenly, Charles took a step forward, and Bella took a step back at once.

Was Katherine appearing?

No, however, Charles waved his hand and hinted at the girl to leave.

Bella noticed the girl, very sexy and stylish, her hair was long, soft and golden.

That was the kind of girl that Charles likes?

She walked behind him and stood silently. Bella couldn't see his face, but she could feel that he was impatient.

Charles, who had always been cold and steady, could be so worried about a person. She couldn’t even have imagined this.

Ziv saw her and screamed out in surprise, “Milady?”

When she was about to answer, Charles turned and frowned. “Bella, how come you came here? Who brought you?”

Bella’s heart sighed. “I couldn’t come here?”

Charles's gaze removed directly from her and looked at Ziv, “Go and find out who brought her here.”

“I will check it right away,” Ziv replied.

“I took a taxi here by myself,” Bella said as she looked at him.

Charles's face sank, and his voice frigid. “Bella, how dare you follow me?!”

Bella didn't talk, she had always been timid, but this time she just wanted to follow.

Charles stopped talking to her and glanced at Ziv. “Send her back immediately.”

“Yes. My Lord.” Ziv replied and looked at Bella, “Milady, please.”

Bella shunned sideways and said willfully, “I don't want to leave, Charles, you said that I am your personal secretary, I wish to stay here.”

Charles had lost patience and his face wrinkled and pained. “Bella, you really court death.”

When he was about to reach out his hand, a man in white ran over.

“My Lord, the second flight from Athens, has landed. I have checked and found that Miss Katherine Evelyn had not boarded.”

Charles immediately turned around and looked at the subordinates who ran over. “Check the flight registration, and still keep a close eye on each exit. She may have boarded the plane under another name.”

Ziv looked at Bella, “Milady, you’d better leave.”

“I won't go, my boss is still here. Mr. Whitman, you don't need to worry about me. I won't bother you.” Bella was stubborn.

“Milady...”

“You can rest assured that if the Lord of the Sea wants to blame someone, I will take the responsibility myself and it is none of your business.” Her tone was a little anxious. She was afraid that Ziv would force her to leave.

Ziv thought about what Roy had told him. “Every time I looked at Milady, I always felt that she was so sad.”

Looking at Bella like this, Ziv had also become upset.

However, he can’t defy the orders of the Lord of the Sea, “Milady, why are you suffering? When the Lord of the Sea was angry, it is you who suffers.”

Bella shook her head. “I'm not afraid of hardship.” She looked at Ziv and insisted seriously. “I know that all of you don't understand me, but I insist.”

Ziv didn't say anything else, he silently retreated to one side and did not ask her to go.

After all, she was the Lady, and only the Lord of the Sea could force her, how could he dare to take the Lady away violently in public.

Bella continued to stand by and watched Charles deploying people to check, getting Ziv to keep calling Katherine’s phone, but every time it was off.

Two hours later, the man in white ran up again. “My Lord, no more flights are flying from there. And there is no information about Miss Katherine Evelyn in the system.”

Another man in white ran over. “My Lord, someone saw Miss Katherine Evelyn.” he pointed to the janitor who followed, “This is the person.”

Charles's eyes fell coldly on the cleaner. “You said you saw Katherine Evelyn. When? Where?”

The janitor seemed to get scared by his mental aura, his body shrank and said intermittently, “At about 4 or 5 this morning, I had just mopped the floor, and it was a little slippery. The woman almost fell, and she scolded me, so I have an impression of her.”
