Chapter 97 – Murder?

Her voice just fell, and there was a chuckle rising to the top of her head. “Don't be afraid, just take a needle to maintain your beauty. It won't hurt you, don't be afraid.”

Bella took a deep breath and felt someone standing next to her and looking at her.

“If you are not bad people, then show me your faces please.”

“You will see in the future. Not right now.” The voice at the top of her head was very gentle and seemed to soothe her.

A cold alcohol swab gently wiped her arm, the movement was gentle, but she still felt unsafe.

Bella struggled desperately, and this movement caused an inconvenience to that person, and they immediately suppressed her, which made her even more afraid.

“What on earth are you going to do? Let me go!” Bella struggled but her wrists were buckled to the table, and she shouted, “Help, help me!”

She did not expect someone to save her, but she once saw it in a self-defence book, that if you were in danger, keep calling for help, that could delay the bad people’s minds and avoid being killed immediately.

The people immediately became nervous. “My Lord, why don’t we inject the medicine.”

The lord? The Lord of Sea!?

Bella’s face turned white.

Did Charles want to secretly drain her blood?

Just when she thought about that, someone suddenly said, “Lord Charles is coming.”

Bella was surprised.

Charles was coming to save her, which meant he didn’t kidnap her?! This cognition made her want to cry.

“Don't worry, inject her first. We don’t have much time.” A faint voice arose, apparently using a voice mixer, whose exact sound was difficult to tell.

“My Lord, this is not the time for you to fight Charles face to face, you need to go first.”

“Fine.” The deep male voice instructed, “Don't inject her. I don't want her to have any reactions. If she doesn't cooperate, we can find another chance. Everyone must retreat safely.”

The man quickly disappeared.

Bella couldn’t tell whether there were still other people. She only felt that her arm was in pain, which was secured tightly.

At the same time, a stifled voice appeared, “Miss, don't struggle, My Lord is saving your life. You will know soon.”

Charles walked along the dark sewer and closed his eyes to sense Bella’s position from time to time.

However, Bella no longer appeared in his consciousness.

Charles damned, he was indeed unable to use his power before he recovered.

When he found the house, there was no one in it except Bella who was tied to the small bed.

Bella’s brain was dim, but she was particularly sensitive to the sounds in the dark. She was alerted when she heard the footsteps. “What else do you want? Charles will save me soon, you can't escape.”

Charles stood on the side of the small bed and looked at Bella’s small and terrified face blindfolded. His heart hurt.

The slender fingers fell on her pale face, and the gorgeous voice brought gentleness. “Bella, it’s me.”

“Charles?” Bella tried to sit up, but her head just lifted, her body stuck to the bed.

“It's me, Bella, I have come to save you.” Charles took off the blindfold and then loosened the restraints.

Bella looked at him and cried in grievance.

“Well, don't cry, let's go.” Charles got her up, and then checked the environment around. Those people left fast, and they left nothing but a bed.

“Wait.” Bella struggled to grab her bag from a corner and walked behind Charles.

She didn’t know what medicine those people injected her with, but her head gradually became heavier, and even Charles’s figure in front of her seemed to double.

Charles chose to climb out from the sewer. He jumped out easily. Bella looked at him as a hero on TV, and he flew up like a phantom.

As they waited for Ziv, Bella felt that her lips were dry.

“Charles, can I make a small request?”

“Say.”

“Can we buy a bottle of water?” Her throat was sore as if there was a fire burning in it.

“No.”

Charles selected a remote alley to leave, so there were no shops around.

“Ok.” In fact, it had been good that he came to save her. Her head was heavy, so were her eyes. Now, she couldn’t even see Charles clearly.

Charles looked at her leaning softly against the wall, it seemed like that he had hurt her. Clearly, he did not mind her being late.

He felt annoyed and said. “Wait here. I will get you water.”

“No, don’t leave me alone. I, I am afraid to be alone.” Bella stubbornly walked over.

Charles started to get impatient with her, and he was about to walk over and hold her.

Suddenly, a car came from around the corner and quickly rushed to Charles.

Bella was shocked, and her eyes widened in horror.

“Charles! Be careful!”

Bella screamed and rushed towards him without thinking at the fastest speed she ever moved. She pushed Charles with all her strength.

The wheels rubbed on the ground and generated a sharp sound. Although the car stopped in time, Bella was pushed out by the inertia of the vehicle, and her body fell heavily on the ground.

At that moment, her reaction was that this was ok, the force was much less than Charles throwing her.

“Damn it, there are people in such a f*****g place.” The driver complained.

Bella opened her mouth and tried to blame him. But when she just opened her mouth, she found that she could not speak, and her throat was dry and sore.

Charles hugged her, his voice was cold. “Pretty good, you will live life without a car for the rest of your life.”

Ziv’s car came in from another alley. He looked at the blood on Charles’ white clothes and Bella in his arms, Ziv asked with concern. “My Lord, are you ok?”

Charles directly put Bella into the back of the car, he sat in the driver’s seat and told Ziv before he left. “Check three generations of that man, and send them all to the South Pole, besides those who want to leave him. As for a reason, it was murdering my wife!”
