Chapter 96 – Not Again

After they joked, Bella took the drawing from her bag and handed it to Dora. “This is a menu that I drew for a restaurant. The Lord demanded me to go back before 10 this morning, so I can’t deliver it, could you please bring it to the restaurant for me? I will text you the number and address.” She looked at Dora sincerely and said, “Dora, I know you are busy, but I don't know who I can ask for help now. I am really sorry to bother you.”

Dora gave her an angry look. “Bella, we have been friends forever! We grew up together, you are like my sister! My parents are gone, your mother is like a mother to me. If she gets sick, you and I need to help each other.” She took an envelope from her bag and handed it to Bella. “I didn't know what happened to Bess when I came this morning. I just grabbed $5,000. You take it.”

Bella quickly pushed the money back. “Dora, I know your situation. Your fruit shop is waiting for you.” And she lied to her, “I have a job now, every month I make $20,000, which is just enough for my mother's treatment. Just this month, I have been late several times, so my salary was cut, so I am a little anxious to find another job to make up the remainder. Please take your money back. Next time if I am late again and fined, I will ask you for help.”

Dora patted her head. “How can you think about being deducted next time? If you are on time and work hard, you will not be deducted. Your salary is $20,000.” Her eyes sparkled. “The Lord is so rich, you earn much more than the average college graduate. Our Bella is the best.”

“I know, I promise to perform well in the future, and I will not let the money be deducted again.” Bella put the envelope of money back into Dora’s bag. “Keep the money, open the store well. If you become the owner of a fruit store chain, please take care of me.”

“I can take care of you, but you need to find a husband. You could quickly win the Lord’s heart.” Dora gave her a goodbye kiss. “Didn’t he ask you to be back before 10 o’clock? Let's go, we can see Bess together and leave. Don't be late again or your salary will be deducted.”

“Ok, let’s go.”

Bella went to the ward and asked the doctor about her mother’s situation. Because Charles demanded him to take good care of Bess, the doctor answered every question Bella had patiently.

But she could not understand the medical terminology. She only understood one sentence. “As long we keep your mother on this treatment, she will probably wake up.”

Her mother must continue receiving the treatment, she couldn’t lose her mother.

Bella did not tell Bess that Len was the person who harmed her, she knew that her mother still loved that immoral man. She didn’t want her mother to be sad.

As they walked out of the hospital, Bella said farewell to Dora and walked to the bus stop.

Just as she turned to the intersection, she received a message, “If you want to know what and who you are, go to the back alley of the hospital.”

The signature was Lynn’s.

Bella called Lynn, “Lynn, what do you want?”

Lynn’s voice was sweet. “Nothing. Don’t you want to know the secret behind your birth? Dad told me everything. If you want to know, come over and see me.”

She certainly wanted to know. However, she was unable to believe her. “Since you are at the hospital, why not come out to see me instead of going to the alley?”

“How can I come out to meet you with such a reputation? It is because of you that I am not able to come out.” Lynn read the words on the paper, adding her acting skills.

It was true. Lynn’s reputation was ruined entirely. However, Bella did not believe that she would be any good. Lynn must want to laugh at her through this opportunity.

But it didn’t matter if she could know the truth, she didn’t mind being laughed at by Lynn.

Bella looked at the time, and there was still twenty minutes which was enough for her to talk with Lynn. She could get back on time.

However, when she had entered the dark and narrow alley, she felt a pain in her neck, and her eyes went black. She had fainted.

At ten o'clock, Charles walked out of the study and went downstairs. Ziv followed him and asked, “My Lord, where are we going now?”

“To get some water.”

There was water in the study. Ziv thought but did not mention it. The Lord did everything right.

Charles went down downstairs casually. “Let Bella cook this afternoon, she can't freeload.”

This was really a reason to find out whether she came back or not.

Roy stood at the stairs and  said at once, “My Lord, Milady has not returned yet.”

Charles’s face sank, “Call her and get her to come back and cook.”

“Yes, My Lord,” Roy called immediately.

Charles drank some water, when he went back from the dining room to the third floor, Roy respectfully reported to him, “My Lord, Milady's phone is off.”

Charles’s face grew darker. He violently opened the door of the study and went back to his desk to work. However, his eyes couldn't help look at the clock. Another ten minutes passed.

The damn woman had not returned yet.

He closed his eyes, while Ziv hesitated to remind him, “My Lord, Elsa wanted me to remind you that you have just recovered, it is not good for you to use consciousness to find Milady.”

Charles opened his eyes and gestured a sweep to him. “Who told you that I am going to sense that woman?”

Ziv immediately closed his mouth. He didn't say who he was going to sense. But the Lord himself said it.

Ziv did not understand. The Lord was very concerned about her, but why did he always want to make her cry. Sometimes he seemed to be happy when he saw her cry. Just like the small dolphins at sea, which liked teasing people.

Charles faintly swept at Ziv again and said, “Get out.”

“Yes!” Ziv retreated to the door and silently closed it.

The Lord was going to mentally look for Bella and not inform anyone.

When the door closed, Charles closed his eyes and sensed Bella. In his mind, Bella was tied to an operating table.

His blue eyes opened as his body disappeared from the study.

Bella never thought that she would be kidnapped again. The first time was Charles, who was it this time?

When Bella woke up, she felt her hands and feet fixed on a narrow bed, her eyes were covered with a black blindfold. The smell of a faint disinfectant was in the air, and noisy footsteps sounded while someone whispered.

She was tied tightly, so she didn't dare to move, she was afraid to be found awake.

However, those people still noticed.

“She is already awake, we can start to inject.” A finger crossed her forehead and smiled. “You scared the sweat out of her.”

He didn’t seem to want to harm her.

Bella quickly asked, “Who are you, why did you kidnap me? What are you going to inject me with?”

She was terrified. She heard that some drug traffickers forcedly injected some people, which would make them addicted to drugs and get them to start selling the drugs or their bodies.
