Chapter 92 - Confrontation

Lynn began to cry again, “Mom, tell me what to do, I've already admitted it.”

She became angry, her hand smacked herself in the forehead, “Are you crazy? How could you admit it? No man in this world could stand that.”

“But he said he wanted to take the photos and videos to be authenticated. You know the reputation of the authentication center. I had to admit it first, maybe it was a better choice.”

Laura was livid and felt faint from the words Lynn spoke, “What did I tell you? You must be clever. Even if it's true, you cannot admit it. Isn't there a scandal involving the authentication center? If the authentication center had something happen, people would no longer trust it’s authentication.”

This was her plan, but for two days she had been busy handling the company's affairs. She didn’t expect Lynn to admit it.

She jabbed her head, “You're really stupid. How can I have such a stupid daughter? Now you must think about how to redeem it. There's nothing else to do with it.” and pointed to her face covered with makeup and her eyes swollen like a bad peach, “Look at what you're like now. Even I don't want to see you right now. You'll wipe the tears, and fix up your makeup, you know?”

She was vexed, and her plan was disturbed by Lynn.

“It's all right. That girl will marry Charles.” She tried to calm down.

She spoke to herself, but Lynn heard it.

“Mom, what do you say, Bella got married to the Lord.” Lynn rushed to her, and her eyes full of envy and disbelief.

How could she marry such a man as the Lord? But she only hid in the house.

Why?

Laura looked through her, “You are still thinking about it. Do you know that our family had been struggling? The new building cannot sell. And we owe the bank millions. Did you know that? Now we can only count on Charles to give us a little help. If not, our family will have to split.”

Laura looked at the unwillingness gradually accumulate in Lynn’s eyes, she softly told her, “All right. Things have happened. You stay here for a while, wait for Martin to change his mind. With the help of Charles, our family will revive, and we will try to help you be an actress again.”

These words obviously helped, and Lynn gradually settled down, and went to wash her face, and re-do her make up. When she came out of the room again, it was once still a youthful and beautiful face.

“Yeah, that's it.” Laura told her daughter to sit on the sofa, and said, “When Martin comes back, no matter what he said, you just follow me, okay?”

“Yeah, mom, I'm listening to you.” Lynn knew her mother could not just make her father obedient to her, but she could even scold the home wrecker to tears.

In contrast, the two women gradually calmed down.

Len’s visit to the Charles’s Mansion was not as easy as theirs.

Having taken Elsa’s pill, Bella sat on the sofa in the hall as time passed by, every minute seemed so long.

As soon as Len entered the villa, he saw Bella and hurried to greet her,  “Bella.” Len looked at her pale face, “You don’t look well. are you okay?”

Now that she saw Len, with a trembling finger she pointing to his face, “It's you, it's you wasn’t it?”

She had thought that it might be him, but, he was her father. Len had hurt her mother, she didn't believe that he would have wanted to kill her mother.

“You arrived right on time.” A gorgeous figure came down the spiral stairs. He looked at Bella who almost fell by a gust of wind.

She seemed to get weaker and weaker.

Lynn ignored Bella and immediately rushed to Charles, respectfully stood at the end of the stairs, looked at him, and pandered to laugh, “The Lord commanded me. I must obey.”

He did not look at Lynn and went straight to Bella, whispered to her, “That's the results. If you don't want to go on, let him go.”

“No, I can't let him go.” She held her fist, and her voice quivered with anger, “If he was the perpetrator, I can't let him go. How could I let him go?”

Her voice was high and eager. Len Sanders didn't know what she was saying, but he had a bad feeling about this. He had to follow Charles but couldn’t move now, as if he had been filled with lead and could not proceed any further.

He tightened his grip on her hand beside her waist as if he was trying to comfort her, and forced her to sit with him, and whispered to her, “Don’t faint.”

Her hands on her knees were tightly clenched, and her voice was cold, “I won’t faint.”

He appreciated the firmness in her eyes and ordered, “Bring them here.”

Len stood, and no one had invited him to sit down. For a brief time, he seemed to be treated as air until four men whose hands were strong came into the living room. She looked at the four men of different heights as if her eyes were able to spit out fire. She turned her head to Charles, and asked, “It's them. They hurt my Mum, didn't they?”

He stroked her long hair behind her head, looked at Roy, “Let's start.”

“Yes, my Lord.” Roy coughed, and looked at the four men, “On June 25th, you attacked a woman named Bess Brook, didn't you?”

Four men were terrified of him, and as soon as he said that, one of them trembled and said, “Yea, we told you about it. What we said before was the truth.”
