Chapter 88 – Sadness Inside

Although he had known it was true, Martin Smith was still hurt when she admitted.

He and Bella only had a relationship, but Lynn had married him, she really betrayed him.

Martin stood up and strode out.

“Don't try to contact me again,” he growled, and left right away, for he didn't want to see this woman again.

But Lynn grasped his hand, and almost fell “Martin, where are you going? Don't leave me please!”

Today was the weekend, he didn't have to work.

He shook off her hand, “I'm going out, I want you to leave here. You have enough time to grab your stuff and get out.” and then warned her, “If you are still here when I get back I will call security and have you removed.”

Lynn’s heart broke, she stood still and released her hands slowly.

As soon as she loosened her grip, Martin left.

To make sure they would not be disturbed when they made love, he asked the cleaner to come at a specific time.

When he left, the cleaner came immediately.

She wanted to let the cleaner come in, but she thought of the pictures on the table, immediately ordered her to stand outside, and then took some scissors to cut them up.

But it seemed that these photos were endless, and she could not cut them all.

Lynn almost went crazy that morning, while Bella got up peacefully.

At 7:40 am she let Charles feed off of her blood, changed her clothes and went downstairs to the dining room.

Although she went to sleep late last night, she was in a good mood, and everything was fine.

Though Roy did not give her the servant job, she had found a profession by herself. She had earned $400 now, and she would get $300 after she turned in her pictures. That meant Bella only needed $300 to make up the amount Charles had deducted from her. If she still could not get enough, she could ask Dora for help.

“Mr. Steward, please get me a bag.” she smiled at him, “I’ll take my breakfast to go.”

After a few days’ training she changed her clothes quicker, she could catch the bus now.

After all, Charles was unlikely to take her to work.

That cold-blooded animal.

“Milady, today is the weekend.” Roy smiled and reminded her. There was a glimmer of disappointment in his eyes for she still called him Mr. Steward.

She suddenly realized that meant she didn’t have to work.

Then she decided to take her breakfast to her room so that she could just take advantage of the time and draw.

“Stop.” Charles called her deeply, “Come back.”

It wasn’t a good thing anytime he talked in this tone.

How did she offend him this time?

However, she couldn't refuse, only walked slowly back to the dining room with her breakfast, Roy moved the chair and led her to sit.

Charles sat in his usual place with a knife and fork and did not even look up.

He didn't speak, nor did she. She just silently put the sandwich from the bag into her mouth.

If nothing happened when sitting with him, she would feel that she was lucky.

She choked and stood up to get a glass of water, then returned to her seat. She suddenly found Charles’s gaze upon her and automatically asked, “My Lord, what would you like to drink? Water or Coffee?”  and had the thought that people of his homeland drank tea, and asked, “Or tea?”

A smile forced for him.

She had to play up to him. Apparently, she could act this way as long as he didn’t go against her values.

His eyes again fell back in front of her, but Roy was helpful and referred to the Coffee.

She hurried to get him the coffee with a smile, “My Lord, Brazilian Special Coffee, no sugar, you can try it.”

He continued to concentrate on eating.

A few minutes later, after he had finished his breakfast, he then sipped the coffee. The gaze fell straight on Bella’s long neck.

Her face suddenly turned red, for she found a hickey he left last night, but the collar of her shirt should have covered it.

He looked at Bella, “Tonight, I want you. Now, you're going to find Elsa.”

Her face suddenly turned pale. They were in the dining room, and there were so many servants around.

She looked around and found everyone stayed silent and acted as if they didn’t hear a thing.

Tonight!? She was not ready to pretend that she didn’t know that he was in love with somebody else.

He pressed her chin between his fingertips and the pressure of it aroused her consciousness.

He closely stared at her flashing eyes, “Don't worry, Elsa's medicine is not harmful.”

Bella bit her lip and tears stored up in her eyes. She suddenly wanted to ask and reconfirm his plans.

She asked, “The day that I deliver your baby, will be when we get divorced?”

“Yes.”

“After we get divorced, you'll get married to Katherine?”

“Yes. You will be paid quite a bit right then, enough for you and your mother.” he looked at the tears in her eyes, and became upset. He loosened her chin and looked at her in indifferently.

“Thank you, my Lord.” she took a deep breath, and stood up, “I'm going to find Elsa.”

Bella drew herself up and walked out of the dining room, trying her best not to cry aloud.

It was excruciating. It was tough for Bella.

Why was she just a human incubator to him? Just a tool to conceive and carry his child?

Looking at her disappearing around the corner, Roy suddenly felt sympathy for her. She seemed very sad.

Charles glanced at him, “What's wrong? What do you mean?”

Roy lowered his head right away, “I just thought that the Lady seemed to be sad.”

Charles snorted and stood up, “Keep to your own business. You don't have to worry about if she was sad.” His blue eyes shone, “Or would you like to try solitary confinement again?”

Roy apologized and lowered his head, “I will mind my own business.”
