Chapter 56 - His Jealousy

The night was dark, and the rain was cold. One of her hands covered her chest, while another hand carried her shoes. She struggled to walk on the sidewalk full of water. The gorgeous dress was soaked and torn, and the heavy cloth made it difficult for her to stand.

The heavy rain blurred the directions.

She no longer knew which way she was going, she just knew it was becoming increasingly difficult and painful, her legs become heavier.

Her hands trembled, and suddenly she lost consciousness.

Before the vast floor-to-ceiling window in the hall of Williams Mansion, Charles stood there, facing towards the sea. He looked like a king who stood on sea level, tall and aggressive.

He looked at the endless rain outside the window, his eyes flashed, but nothing could be seen.

Ziv went to reflect, and Roy took his place.

Elsa ran over to him, “Lord, Lady now is in good health. If she gets sick now, it will be harmful to the child’s health.”

But today, before Elsa had even come near him, her eyes became so clear that she saw water in front of her.

“Lord,” Elsa was shocked, and shouted, “Please give priority to your child!”

He did not look back, but said: “Take her away.”

Two people in white came out of the dark immediately and stood in front of her, “Elsa, please.”

Elsa did not want to trouble them and looked at the lonely reflection of Charles, she stood up and shook her head helplessly.

The water in the air resembled a stream of light that flew to his hands and then disappeared.

“How long has it been?”

“Lord, you've been standing here for more than two hours, so while I am afraid that Madam had been away for more than two hours.

Why didn't she come back by taxi? Stupid woman.

He was restless, and his mind was full of a brief talk with Edwin, and her last words, “I hate you.”

“Edwin Beck comes to her.”

“Yes,” Roy answered.

Charles ordered Roy, “Bring Bella back.”

Roy was relieved, he had been afraid that the Lady would become a corpse.

Charles turned to go upstairs, he never expected that Bella could be so brave.

When he thought of her tear-filled eyes, he became nervous and slammed the door. The sound of the door spread through the entire mansion, the guards and servants, swallowed hard.

Elsa smiled at Roy and handed him a pill, “When you pick up Madam, give her this pill in case she caught a cold.”

“Ok.” He gently took it and walked into the rain.

Charles could not stop thinking about her, and a picture came to his mind that she had stumbled in the rain and fell down on the sidewalk. Then he was surprised to see a man stop his car and open the door. He hugged her and took her into his vehicle.

That man!

He walked out of the room and stood on the second floor. Charles called Roy coldly.

As Roy walked out of the gate, he turned back, stood at the entrance, and looked at him respectfully, “Lord, what would you like?”

“Come with me.” Charles appeared in front of him. As if there wasn’t such a long space between them.

Roy was a little surprised that the Lord used his powers twice today, and it was because of his wife.

It seemed that the Madam had a significant influence on him.

Bella was dizzy and but knew someone had picked her up. Gradually she warmed up and heard someone call her name, “Bella, Bella.”

It felt nice to be taken care of.

A bright light shook in her eyes, while a handsome face became clear in front of her.

She was startled and quickly sat up.

Because she sat up too fast, something shook, and her body collapsed.

“Be careful.” A strong arm quickly pulled her into his chest. The gentle voice came into her ear “Be careful.”

She shook her head and turned to see who it was, “Edwin Beck?” and began to look around the unfamiliar surroundings, and asked, “Where are we? How did we get here?”

Edwin put a pillow behind her, letting her get comfortable, and passed a cup to her, “It's ginger tea. It will help warm you.”

She reached out her hand to take it, but her hands shook vigorously, and the ginger tea almost spilled over. Edwin hurried and grabbed the cup, his palm became red. It was hot.

“Let me help you.” He gently stirred the little white spoon, blowing carefully, and then he put it to her lips. He then said with a child-like tone, “It isn’t as hot now.”

Bella drank it from the spoon, and she was grateful.

Before she could thank him, a brisk wind came to the room, and the closed doors blew open, a shadow flashed from the window, and showed a strange and demonic figure.

Bella’s body shook in fright, and she shrieked at the door.

Edwin stood up puzzled, “I remember I closed the door when I came in.”

The wind stopped, and a lone figure appeared at the door.

It was clear that he was dressed in white, but he was like the king of the night, who took her breath away.

With her eyes wide open, she was terrified and struggled to retreat. But she was already as far back on the sofa as she could go.

She didn’t know what she was afraid of.

Edwin stepped forward and blocked Charles.  He asked in a cold voice, “What do you want?”

He knew the world-renown Charles Williams, but even he couldn’t be allowed to break into others' houses.

Roy immediately stood in front of Edwin Beck. He remained graceful and polite, and said to him, “Let's take our Madam home. Sir, we will consider charging you with kidnapping our Lady. After all, the fight against human trafficking is everyone's responsibility.”
