Chapter 38 – What Was It?
It turned out that men could be sexy.
Bella swallowed and did not know where to look.
“Transaction?” Charles walked up to her elegantly and lifted her delicate chin to look at her. “It is either a deal or not, I have the final say.”
What else could be said after drunken sex? Bella almost cried. She wished that something would knock her out, this very moment.
What were you thinking? You had obviously tasted the wine, why would you drink it all?
But then again, they did it so moralistic? He did not take over.
He looked at the stubbornness in her eyes, Charles squeezed her chin tightly, “What? Any opinions?”
Bella had initially felt a little guilty, but she started to tremble with anger at his words. She tried to slap down his hand that held her chin but failed. Instead, it just made a slapping sound and hurt her hand.
“Yes, I have an opinion. I have a high opinion of you.” Disregarding the pain of her captive chin, Bella shallowly growled at him. “The deal is always put forward by you. You take the initiative, but I cannot, why?”
Why?
Charles looked at the tears that welled up in his wife’s eyes and inexplicably thought of yesterday’s tearful questioning, “What do you want to do? Break me? Why do you torment me like this, why?”
The anger at the bottom of his eyes gradually dissipated, he held her chin and silently took her into his arms. The gorgeous voice without had no warmth said, “Give yourself to me one time, I will not punish you.”
Bella leaned on his wet chest, his calm and unwavering voice with an inexplicable lure let her be guilty for the moment. But something in her heart made her look up. “Why….”
Before she finished, Charles Williams’ lips kissed hers, and he quickly pulled off the nightdress she had just put on, and it slipped down to her snowy ankle.
The white bath towel fell off, and the blood in his body boiled at the moment their bodies touched.
After sex, that morning, Charles Williams and his new bride Bella Williams sat at the table with their flushed ears.
Bella’s body trembled invisibly, and her ears became even redder. With the gasping and whispers of gentle admiration that were rare of Charles Williams.
“Oh Bella, You make me feel wonderful.”
Bella threw down her knife and fork and said, “I am full,” and left the dining room quickly.
She rushed to her room and closed the door. Turned and leaned back up against it. Her chest pounded, and her breath came hard. As the rush of her breathing slowed, she slid down the door as she held herself in her own arms.
The skin that was touched by her fingertips raised with a layer of goosebumps.
Why was Charles Williams so different today? Even stranger than normal. Why did he say that now?
Such a shame!
She covered her face with her hands.
Bella zoned out as she sat there on the floor then suddenly her phone buzzed against the wooden bedside table.
She jolted awake and jumped up to answer it. Bella did not recognize the number at all which made her incredibly nervous.
Don’t let it be someone saying her mother is in an accident.
“Hello, this is Bella Brook, may I ask who’s….” Before her words had finished, a delicate voice on the phone came through.
“Bella, my lovely sister, it is me....”
Lynn Sanders?!
Bella said coldly, “There are no reporters here, don’t pretend, just say what you want.”
If she was not afraid of angering Lynn and Len Sanders went to give her mother trouble, she would have already hung up the phone.
“Tonight is the new fashion show launch of BD. Also, it is my first runway show. Sister, you have to come to see.” She reminded, “It is at the Grand Sea Hotel. Remember to come.”
“I have no interest in watching the show,” Bella said coldly. Lynn just wanted to show off how good she was now. She was not interested in watching her and Martin publicly display their affection.
“Of course, I know that you are not interested in my show. But....” Lynn’s voice screamed. “Your Mom is interested in watching the show. If you don’t come, then... what a pity.”
At the mention of her mother, Bella immediately became alert. “What do you want, Lynn Sanders?” She wouldn’t believe that Lynn Sanders could honestly be kind and really had asked her mother to just watch the show.
“Nothing just see the show.” Lynn hung up the phone and a smile formed on her lips.
She listened to Martin Smith’s words and did not force Bella into anything, but if she walked into the trap of her own accord, it would not her fault. How could Charles Williams want Bella Brook as his wife? A man who was like a god. Even if she didn’t match it, she definitely didn’t want it to be Bella Brook.
If Bess was going to the show, Bella should surely follow?
Bella hung up the phone and rushed out to find Charles, to ask for leave again but not a trade. She turned the corner sharply and bashed into his solid chest.
Charles looked down, and the remarkable voice reflected incomparable indifference. “Bella Williams, watch where you’re going!”
Just now she was ashamed of the ambiguity between his bed, but he had already left it behind.
It was said that the man was enthusiastic in bed and was ruthless out of bed, it turned out to be true, at least in his case.
What he expressed was only his own feelings, not specifically for her. At that moment, he probably would have said that sentence to any woman.
It was her innocence, and she turned out to believe it.
She suppressed the sadness of her heart and forced herself to look up at him. “I am going out tonight. Can we make a trade?”
That word was a massive humiliation for her, and it was hard and bitter.
Charles looked at her lightly, “Alright. Come back before eleven and come to my room.”
As soon as his voice fell, he swept past her, and his tall body grazed her thin shoulder, which caused her tiny body to sway slightly.
Charles gracefully and calmly walked forward, but his hand involuntarily touched the chest that had been just hit by her, his blue eyes flashed vaguely that was not easily perceived, just as his heart suddenly started to race.
Bella turned around slowly, back to her room step by step, closed the door, hugged her arms, leaned against the door and slowly slipped down, while the tears rolled down her face.
