Chapter 31 – Hungry for a Kill

When she saw Charles sitting there at the table, leisurely and gracefully using a knife and fork. Bella’s hands hung down at her sides and clenched into fists. She controlled the urge to rush in and kill him, the urge to tear apart his beautiful facial features.

She sat down in her usual seat and asked somberly with a calm look on her face, “I will not give you a baby. Let me go!”

Charles’s fingers that held the utensils suddenly tightened. He ignored what she said and glared at her, “Eat!”

He spared her once because she made him content.

Bella’s heart was like cold, dead ashes due to last night’s behaviour. No longer did she want to wait until she could think of promising ideas to save herself. It was better to explain it directly and make it clear.

She patiently clarified, “As a twenty-year-old girl, I have not graduated from University, and I have my own ideas and life. Also, I want to live the life I wanted, so I will definitely not give birth to a baby. Especially a baby with a strange man.”

Everyone, including Roy, was shocked to hear the words that Bella spoke.

Did she have a death wish?

Charles pulled Bella over to him with his hand on the back of her neck, pressed her head next to his head and said to Ziv, “Take a photo.”

Ziv at once took a photo with his mobile phone.

Charles loosened his grip on the back of Bella’s collar, turned his blue eyes to Ziv, “Go to the courthouse and apply for a marriage certificate.” Then he nonchalantly looked toward Bella and said, “Legally, you will be my wife, and I will not be a strange man to you.”

Bella remained unyielding and said, “Our signatures are required to be married. No one is legally allowed to force me to sign. I have to do it of my own accord.”

When Charles put out his palm, Ziv quickly dialled a number on his phone and placed it in Charles’s hand.

Charles put the phone to his ear and said, “Hello! Mayor Hill, I am Charles Williams. I have decided to accept your proposal to build a biological research center here, but I have a condition... My fiancée’ and I are remarkably busy, so we have no time to go to the Courthouse to legalize our union...”

He turned on the speakerphone, and there came the rich baritone voice of the middle-aged Mayor, “Lord, it is a great honour for me to register your marriage in our city. If you are too busy, you can send one of your subordinates to handle it for you. You only need your personal power of attorney.”

After he hung up the phone, he looked at Bella and said, “You don’t need to worry about that kind of thing.”

The blood in Bella’s body seemed to drain in an instant, and her heart went totally cold.

That really was the voice of Mayor Hill!

She used to watch the news with her mother and usually teased that it was a pity that he wasn’t a singer since he had such a beautiful voice.

Charles arrogantly looked at her shaking body and said coldly, “I told you that I have given you many opportunities, but you didn’t cherish them. So, I will solve everything that you concern yourself with.”

“I don’t need you to solve it!” Bella looked at him coldly and said furiously. “I don’t like you at all, and I don’t want to marry you or have your baby.”

Her tone got weaker, and she said as her head drooped, “You don’t love me either, do you? So, let me go! A considerable number of women are willing to give you a baby due to your excellence.”

The last reason was the most important one.

Why were two people who are tired of each other getting married? He didn’t put on a good show for her, and she hated him more each time she saw him.

Why did he want to have a child to shackle them together?

“Bella!” He gracefully said her name with that gorgeous and sexy voice. There wasn’t anger that gathered in his eyes, she really thought he was going to be gentle with her.

He stood up, came to her to pull her body back and pinched her chin with his big hands. Then he stared at her with those perfect blue eyes.

“Do you want love?” He said with a disdainful smile. “I will make love with you right now.”

His hand rose as the expensive food on the table, and high-end tableware fell to the ground.

At the same time that happened, everyone else left the dining-room.

Bella’s pupils contracted suddenly, and her body subconsciously tried to flee, but he had already dropped her severely on the table.

The sudden pain of that, combined with the pain brought on by the forcible penetration before, made her face turn white.

The man did not care about her reaction and violently thrust into her body to let himself feel the tightness of her canal.

Before she fainted, he pulled out and said coldly, “From today on, you will stay here until you give birth to my child.” Then he added, “It will be legal.”

**

Over the last few days, Williams Mansion was surrounded by black clouds, making people feel breathless and down.

Charles’s expressionless face was colder than usual, and Ziv in the study seemed to be frozen in place like an ice sculpture.

“Can this kind of design be considered art? This design institute does not need to exist anymore,” Charles glared at Ziv and said. “If you give such things to me again, you also don’t need to exist anymore.”

Ziv figurately buried his head in the soil and continually nodded his head.

“How about Bella?” Charles finally asked.

Ziv dropped his head more and answered, “Madam Bella still refuses to eat.”

Ever since they had received the marriage certificate three days ago, Bella didn’t eat.

Charles intended to ignore her for several days and thought that she would have eaten by herself due to the great hunger. After all, he had caught her eating biscuits in the kitchen that one day.

But unexpectedly, she did not.

Ziv said with reverence and awe, “Aunt Elsa said that if Madam refuses to eat anymore, it will have a bad effect on her health and ability to get pregnant.”

Charles’s eyebrows knitted in a frown, and then he stood up, kicked the chair away and quickly left the room.

He came to Bella’s bedroom and asked Roy, “Does she still refuse to eat?”

Roy nodded respectfully, and Charles stared coldly at the door and shouted, “Open the door!”

Roy had the key, but he dared not open the door without Charles’s command.

Bella listened in horror to the sound of the key being inserted into the lock. She tucked herself into the corner, her eyes wide like a panicked deer trapped in the headlights of an oncoming vehicle.

She didn’t want to marry this evil man, not to mention have his baby.

It would be better to commit suicide... than be killed by the domestic violence.

Bella stood up decisively against the wall and held a pair of scissors against her throat and with her voice trembling said, “If you come any closer, I will do it! I will slit my throat!”

Charles stood in front of her. He was like a noble and superior god. The indifference and disdain in his eyes deeply hurt her heart.

He completely ignored the scissors in her hand, he stood there and tapped his fingers on the bedside table, “I heard that you are on a hunger strike.”

Bella ground her teeth and stared at him with her hands clenched into fists. She said angerly, “Charles, we don’t love me each other. Why do you want us to get married and have a baby?”

Even if her blood type was rare, he could use her eggs. But why did he need her womb to carry and give birth to the baby?

How could she live nonchalantly for the rest of her life if she gave birth to a baby?
