'Is he even human?!' Yeri was at a loss, but she instinctively sat beside him and tend to his bleeding hand.

"You should go to a hospital or clinic after this, maybe you need some stitches also I'm afraid there might be tiny shards of glasses stuck on your palm."

"Does it hurt?" Yeri glanced at Shin but he looked impassive while looking out of the window, as if his bleeding hand has nothing to do with him.

Yeri sighed, feeling a passing headache, this reminded her of the time they were left alone in that dark place after he chased her and Jj, she also tried talking to him but he just stood in silence, puffing his cigarette.

Does that mean he's mad right now?

"Do you have a handkerchief or can I use the table napkin for now?"

Yeri pursed her lips and decided to use the table napkin to bandage his hand, she don't know what she had said or done but if he won't talk it out then there's no point dwelling on it.

"I'll check with the manager, see if they have a first aid kit."

She was about to stand up when she felt a strong arm wrap around her waist, pulling her back. "Damn it Shin Keir are you a...child?"

Yeri was shocked to see the vicious glint in Shin Keir's eyes but what's with his expression? he looked like an abandoned, injured puppy on the sidewalk.

Without a word, Shin Keir buried his face on the crook of her neck, his mind is like the dusk as the darkness engulf the last light of the sun.

'Who is in her mind?' That thought triggered Shin Keir and for some reason, Xian Song suddenly crossed his mind and all his pent up emotions went to the innocent wine glass.

Yeri pondered, anyone would get annoyed being ignored but seeing how he can't make up his mind if he's going to get angry or sulk, her annoyance diminished.

"Brother Shin, in a relationship, it's important to talk with each other to avoid any misunderstandings. I'm not as smart as you and I hate to overthink so if you don't tell me of my mistake or how I wronged you then I will never understand, just as how you got mad that I ignored your calls, I as well don't like to be ignored when I'm talking. Why don't we compromise and try not to repeat our past mistakes?" Yeri sincerely explained, patting his head like she's coaxing a child.

Shin Keir was slightly shaken that Yeri is opening up and being considerate, still, why would he suffer if he can get rid of any threat?

Yeri pouted, she felt like knocking on a steel wall, rather than agitating herself she continued eating although it was uncomfortable with Shin Keir stuck beside her.

"Who did you ask to pretend as me?" Shin Keir finally asked, his lips brushing on the skin of her neck as he talked.

If it wasn't for his question, Yeri would have been distracted feeling his hot breath.

So he wasn't mad about the bet?

Yeri nodded inwardly, admitting her fault for being careless. Of course, it's not jealousy but a man like Shin Keir would feel his pride wounded if she ask someone to pretend as her boyfriend, who can be more greater than him?

"Brother Shin, you're seriously sulking because of that? You didn't let me finish talking, it was supposed to be a joke. Is there even someone better than you? I was only worried that you were busy but that was it, I did not ask anyone."

"Really?" Shin sounded relieved, all those monstrous thoughts gradually dispersed like bubbles.

"Yup, am I not allowed to joke?"

Obviously, she's lying, she initially asked Shin Keir to meet her friends expecting he would refuse considering he's an extremely busy person and he dislikes other women, then she will ask Xian Song or Tristan Felan for a favor, but of course she won't say that now unless she's courting death.

"Then I'll ask the Manager instead for the first aid kit," Secretary Yun said and told Yeri of his purpose for coming there. "By the way, Miss Zhi, your friends have already left half an hour ago."

"What?!" Yeri spat out looking disgruntled, she had forgotten about them because of Shin Keir.

"If it's the bet money don't worry, I'll make sure they will pay you as soon as possible." Shin Keir reassured her.
