51 The animosity between the two is so apparen

Yeri stepped out of the convenience store and fiercely snap the sausage snack like a twig, she got tired of Shin Keir's nagging that she ended up buying only that.

Why is he picking a fight with a starving person?

Just as her stomach grumbled, she notice a street cart selling fish cake and rice cake skewers across the convenience store.

Yeri subtly smiled suddenly recalling some childhood memories as she cross the street.

When her brother and Jj were in elementary grade, they would sometimes take home street foods bought from the stalls outside of their school.

Unfortunately, she couldn't even taste any of it since her parents were especially strict about the foods she can have because of her weak health.

'Not bad!' Yeri quickly gobbled two fish cake skewers, she doesn't know if it's her hunger or those childhood memories but it was delicious.

"Daughter, don't just eat it like that! have some broth and spicy sauce as well!" the old vendor handed her a small bowl of broth.

"Thank you!" Yeri accepted the bowl. "Wow! this taste better with the spicy sauce. Grandpa, you're the best!"

The old vendor chuckled and bragged to his wife who was beside him.

"Daughter, do you live around here? It's quite late, a pretty child like you shouldn't wander around at this hour without any companion." the old woman sounded concerned.

"I'm staying in a school dorm not far from here and isn't there a lot of police patrolling this area?" Yeri asked and had another stick of fish cake.

The old couple looked at each other and turned to Yeri with a worried expression, the only school they know in that area is SC University where rich kid's go to.

"Daughter, If you go to that rich kid's school then the more reason you should be careful! most gangsters aren't afraid of the law and they target young women and children from wealthy families." the old woman reasoned

"That's right, you may not be aware but gangsters roaming this area have backers within the police..." the old man sighed.

"I see, thank you for worrying but I have a friend with me." Yeri smiled and gaze at the convenience store, she isn't worried about any gangsters but it just came to her that she don't have any money aside from her credit card.

That said, Yeri highly doubts that someone like Shin Keir also carries cash with him, she wouldn't be even surprised if he most likely never even tried any street food.

After eating four skewers, Yeri thought of telling the old couple that she don't have any money when a car halted in front of the stall.

"Yeri Zhi?!"

A pretty handsome face come into view as the car window rolled down.

"Teacher Song?!" Yeri exclaimed not expecting to see him there.

Xian Song indignantly alighted from his car, he just attended a press conference nearby and was driving home when he caught sight of her.

"It's almost 11 pm, what are you doing here? are you alone?" Xian Song felt slightly mad out of concern.

"You sound like a teacher reprimanding his student, I thought you're no longer one? If you do that then I'll keep calling you Teacher!" Yeri is pleased and anxious at the same time as she glanced at the convenience store. "I got caught up studying that I forgot to eat dinner, anyway, why are you also here?"

Xian Song helplessly sighed, "Just had some few business matters to attend to."

"Oh~ what a coincidence, isn't it? Teacher, I mean Brother Song, I'm ashamed to say this but do you have any money with you? Honestly, It slipped my mind that stalls don't accept credit card payment." Yeri shyly muttered.

Xian Song let out a wry smile and lightly flicked her forehead. "You troublemaker, If I'm not here how do you intend to pay? don't tell me you plan to run away?"

Meanwhile, Shin Keir got somehow interested in the things he found there. It's been year's since he last went inside a convenience store and he's impressed with the large range of products and services it has.

He took out some triangular rice balls and thought of asking Yeri if she wants pickled vegetables but realize she wasn't there.

After paying, Shin looked for Yeri outside, then his fierce gaze fixated on the two people chatting as he strode across the street.

"Wifey, why did you suddenly disappear? I was worried. By the way, how did you know such a dangerous man from the Great Song family?" Shin wrapped his arm around Yeri's shoulder and his eyes were like burning ice shards staring towards Xian Song.

Yeri looked startled, when did Shin Keir get there?! who's dangerous? and what does he mean by the Great Song family?

Xian Song was equally surprised, a sense of jealousy welled up in him.

Did she lie about not having a boyfriend?!

"Friend! right, my very famous friend who has a good sense of humour! hehe~" Yeri forced out a natural smile and slightly nudge Shin Keir, afraid that he will reveal his identity. "and well...this is my teacher back in middle school, Teacher Xian Song."

Xian Song stared back at the domineering man towering next to Yeri, he felt that he's strangely familiar despite the cap and black mask covering his face.

"Dangerous? speak for yourself, you should be aware of your responsibility as a celebrity and the implications you will cause to Yz if you get caught by a paparazzi."

'Yz?'

Shin scoffed inwardly, another bug trying to act close to his woman.

"Speaking of celebrity, for the son and member of a known political party talking to a young woman in a promiscuous place, how will you take responsibility if my wifey's reputation gets dragged out in your heinous political battle, Teacher.Song?"

Shin Keir's words struck a nerve on Xian Song, he also understood that he's implying that a Teacher shouldn't have any improper designs towards his students.

"What is wrong in talking with my former student? This situation can be easily explained but who exactly is your wifey? As far as I know, Yz dislikes the limelight and will never date anyone in the entertainment industry, aren't you just being shameless to openly display your one-sided love?" Xian Song sniggered.

Shin's jaw tense up and the vicious glint in his eyes looked evident, Xian Song is clearly showing off that he know Yeri Zhi more than him!

"Who said I'm an artist? you're an idiot to assume that."

Yeri's mind went blank, what political party? what one-sided love?

She's oblivious to what is going on however the animosity between the two is so apparent that it seems like the space around them is cracking.
