44 She got a boo-boo

Shin suddenly looked deadly and an oppressive aura emanated from him.

"Since the Zhi's no longer have a mafia backing, how about asking Master Zhi to ally with gehenna? We can easily deal with Spiros under that pretence and no one will suspect why you are suddenly overprotective of the Zhi family." Tristan suggested.

"You think I didn't offer that to him?" Shin said somehow sulking.

Tristan laughed, "I don't think he's wary of you in a bad way, let's just say you are overqualified."

Shin swivelled his chair sideways, looking at the scenery outside.

"50% of Vulture's activities are run legally so they don't hold much value in the dark society, for Spiros to target them without much benefit and gain is strange. Look into Monarch's recent movement especially Sergei Ricci and find someone who can pretend to be a high school student to protect Yeri at school."

"How about the one's stalking her? you know it's easy to capture these guys and force out some information from them, no one will know it's us." Tristan smiled deviously.

"Not right now, Master Zhi also sent some people to follow Yeri, we don't want to make mistakes and torture the wrong people and there's an easy way to face Spiros head-on." Shin took out a cigarette and lit it up.

"That kid, Jj Zhi, I want to meet him."

Tristan raised an eyebrow as he also grabbed a cigarette. "Aha! I told him to join gehenna but he has yet sought me out again, are you planning to coerce him to join?"

"There's no need for that, he'll definitely join," Shin said in a confident tone and blew a puff of smoke.

"That sounds interesting, what are we up to?"

Shin glance at Tristan with a bored expression, he's aware that anything about the underworld is interesting to Tristan.

"I'll tell you once we meet Jj Zhi, any update about paragon?"

"Surprisingly, there are a lot of bidders for our data, they thought it's some deed over a diamond mine but I'm certain none of these bidders is Paragon," Tristan shrugged.

"Alright just..." Shin paused, seeing a pop-out message from his phone screen, he immediately check it out but to his dismay, it was just some obnoxious message from a group chat.

"How many times I told you unless it's work-related, don't add me to any strange group chats!"

Shin rebuked Tristan and abruptly left the group chat after merely glancing into it for a second.

Tristan who also got the message looked at Shin playfully. "Why did you leave the group? you will hurt bunny's feelings, she said she got a boo-boo."

"Enough, leave me alone." Shin deadpanned.

"Baby cub, you're such a cold and heartless boyfriend, that message was from your woman, what happened to her?"

Shin ominously glared at Tristan, telling him to stop with his nonsense.

"Ah, did I forget to tell you? I added Yeri to that group chat after we met at your villa-"

Shin hurriedly grabbed Tristan's phone and once again looked into the message.

It was from a 'princess panda' and her profile picture is a golden retriever dog.

Shin's face crumpled and he quickly called her from his phone, he's not sure if it's his little drunkard but that profile pic is familiar, aren't all golden retriever's faces the same? also, wasn't her chat name Yeri_jewel?

A few minutes earlier, Yeri sync all her contacts to her spare phone after she got home from the hospital.

She then remembered that Tristan Felan added her as a contact and to her surprise, he also added her to a certain group chat.

Looking into it, Yeri notice a Calin Ricci on that group chat and decided to post a message just to test the waters.

'It's pouring Riccis today!' Yeri grinned inwardly and change her username from 'Yeri_jewel' to 'Princess panda.'

[Shin Keir left the group chat]

"What a supportive boyfriend! If you want to leave then let's also break up! who will like you anyway? you're mean, grumpy and handsome...no a jerk!"

Yeri looked like she's spitting fires as she mumbled to herself, not understanding why she's fuming mad.

Meanwhile, Tristan felt like his stomach is about to burst from laughing whilst Shin looked like he wanted to stab him to death, anxious that Yeri ignored his call.

"Alright, alright...I should've told you but honestly, It slipped my mind, this is the first time bunny sent a message to the chat."

"Who's bunny? stop calling her pet names! are you that close to her?" Shin felt a pang of jealousy.

"My bad..." Tristan raised both his hands, "but don't you have a romantic pet name for each other? Since you don't have any experience with women, let this brother teach you! women love being called in cute or sweet nicknames, like something unique and special."

Shin wanted to brag that he of course has a pet name for her but 'little drunkard' doesn't sound cute or sweet at all.

"If you don't have something in mind then just call her by her username, she seems to like the princess panda, then also ask her to think of a pet name for you," Tristan suggested.

'A pet name, huh...' Shin smiled, he looked like a child as excitement filled his eyes.

Tristan chuckled, he had the urge to pat Shin's head but he'll probably get a punch for doing so.

Calin Ricci was burning her time in a spa when her phone incessantly vibrated, she blankly skimmed thru the messages and notice that the chat group with Shin Keir's circle of friends is currently active.

[Tricks: Bunny what's wrong? are you alright?]

Shin Keir was back in the group?! Calin's eyes brightened.

She retraced the group's recent actions and saw Tristan was the one who added Princess panda and Shin Keir back.

'Princess?' Calin sneered but since this is the first time Tristan favoured a woman amongst his sea of women, she should be friendly and maintain her public image.

'Oh my god!' Calin almost squealed from happiness, she felt like sitting on clouds.
