If she now insists that she really saw it, no one will believe her anymore.

"The audacity!" Madam Zhi's face turned red in anger, "You are fired! and you, Venice! you're not allowed to step into this house anymore without my permission!"

"I understand, Auntie," Venice said in a remorseful manner.

"Just a second Mommy..." Yeri interrupted, staring daggers at the maid.

The maid who could have easily gotten away without evidence was consumed by extreme fear and anxiety that she's unable to think rationally.

"Mommy, do you think she's pitiful? she tried to ruin my reputation and stole my things. If we let her go others might think it's okay to bully Yeri."

"Who would dare bully our princess?! I don't pity her at all." Madam Zhi hugged her daughter, what was she thinking? it was her daughter who suffered and was almost wronged.

Yeri smiled innocently watching the maid being dragged outside, "Don't worry Mommy, jail time for petty theft is just less than a year! she should learn her lesson so she won't do it again with her next employer."

"What's going on here?!" a loud voice almost to a shriek echoed in the house.

Hei Ryung, Nolan Zhi and his son, Rome Zhi just entered the house.

"What are you all doing here? Klaus left early for work, also Hei Ryung this isn't your house, stop shouting like a shrew." Madam Zhi crossed her arms.

Hei Ryung looked constipated from annoyance but she had to swallow her grievance since her husband is there, however, panic flash her face upon seeing Venice's dishevelled and swollen face.

"Why do you look like this?! what happened to you?"

Venice felt reassured with her family around especially her father, she was about to go on with her miserable acting but Yeri cut her to the chase.

"I slapped her, twice!" Yeri arrogantly answered.

"Of course I dare, why won't I?" Yeri raised an eyebrow.

"Hei Ryung! who do you think your badmouthing?!" Nolan Zhi immediately chided, glaring at the mother and daughter with a stern warning.

Madam Zhi recounted but Venice and Hei Ryung butted in from time to time.

Not long after, another episode of argument and theatrics ensued.

"Brother Jj!" Yeri excitedly run towards Jj and hugged him. "You looked tired, still working on that school project?"

Yeri grinned and whispered to him what happened, including the fact that it was Shin Keir who gave her the diamond bracelet.

"Are you a fool? why are you so careless! getting schemed at your own house!" Jj murmured, heavily reprimanding her.

Rome Zhi blankly watched the interaction between the two yet he is raging inside, he also wanted Yeri to fawn over him, isn't he also her big brother?

What's the difference between him and that adopted guy?

"Enough of this!" Madam Zhi shouted, feeling a headache. "Nolan, take your uncultured woman and daughter home! there's no point in reasoning with shrews!"

"Shut up! both of you, go home!" Nolan fiercely cut off Hei Ryung, this pair of Mother and daughter never learn!

He reminded them countless times to be careful with Yeri Zhi, she's an evil spawn who can easily turn a simple plot like this to her advantage.

"Mommy, what if Young Master Keir and Secretary Yun will hear of these lies? I don't want to jeopardize Daddy's negotiation with Young Master Keir, so to clear all doubts, I'll take a virginity test!"

Yeri acted unsettled but her eyes were full of mockery as she gaze at Venice. "But Venice might get criticised once I'm proven innocent, so I suggest that she should also take the test!"
