29 The foremost culprit why Shin deeply loathes women

Allister Keir descended the stairs and his face turned sour upon seeing the people in the living room.

He just arrived yesterday and trouble came knocking soon, indeed, news travels fast.

Eleanor Keir who was constantly checking her appearance, jumped out of her seat and ran towards Allister.

"Husband! I miss you! oh~look at you...nothing has changed! other people might mistake you as Shin's older brother than his father!"

"Eleanor, I told you to mind your manners!" Helena Keir chided her daughter in law and eyed her son, whom she had not seen for 5 years, from head to toe. "hmph! at least you still look human!"

Allister let Eleanor hugged his arm and sat down, ignoring his mother's ridicule.

"and where is that unfilial son of yours? we've been here for half an hour already! did he think-"

"Mother, you came here early and unannounced on a sunday morning, what are you expecting? my son is an extremely busy man leading the Keir business, aren't you going overboard with your petty demands?" Allister heavily rebuked his own mother.

Helena Keir pointed her finger in exasperation, she was about to lash out when Calin stopped her.

"Grandma, please calm down, getting mad is bad for your health." Calin patted the old woman's back, concealing her annoyance and looked apologetic as she shyly smiled at Allister.

She was thrilled with the possibility that Shin Keir is no longer a woman-hater that she immediately took a private flight back to Sin City and had her Father arrange a meeting between the two families.

However, she wasn't expecting that Shin's recluse father would be there and the old woman would use this chance to hasten their visit and make trouble the moment they arrived.

If not for the fact that this old woman is her gateway to see Shin Keir, she wouldn't have come along with them.

"Hello Uncle Allister, how have you been? I apologize for the sudden visit, it's just that Father was so excited upon hearing that you're here in Sin City. Unfortunately, he's unwell these days and asked me to come here in his stead." Calin spoke gently, looking pure and modest with her naturally done make-up and white dress.

Allister just nodded, keeping his wary thoughts to himself.

It wasn't hard to guess why this woman instantaneously found the courage to show up there.

Helena Keir who wasn't used to being affronted, harrumph and once again castigated her son.

"Mother, don't be too hard on my husband, my heart aches for him," Eleanor said in a jovial mood, smiling all ears as she glued herself to Allister.

Allister separated from her 10 years ago, although they aren't divorced, all she has now is an empty title of 'Madam Keir'.

She tried every possible way to get him back but Allister threatened to divorce her if she won't leave him alone and so she can only abide by his rules.

Luckily, she has Shin Keir who is a spitting image of Allister when he was young!

An hour later, Shin showed up wearing an indescribable expression.

"Son!" Eleanor immediately stood up and tried to hug Shin Keir but the latter briskly evaded with disgust written on his face.

Meanwhile, Calin Ricci couldn't contain her happiness, for a moment she forgot her character as she fixated her gaze on him with a crimson face.

Shin looked sensuous yet regal with the upper buttons of his black shirt undone and paired with grey pants.

How she longed to be trapped in his embrace!

"Hah! how impudent! as expected of a..." Helena paused and looked up Shin from head to toe. "tsk! shouldn't you pay your respects?"

Shin settled on a single couch and indifferently said. "You have been running your mouth ever since you walked into my doorsteps, as an esteemed elder, is that supposed to be considered as respect? need me to learn from you?"

Helena Keir felt all her blood rushed up to her head, this bastard hasn't changed at all!

"Your house? ha! what you have right now is because of us! you ungrateful bastard!"

"This conversation is over! Mother, aren't you ashamed of your conduct?" Allister interrupted, stomping his foot

Calin anxiously bit her lip as she stealthily scooted a little further from the old woman, not wanting Shin to think they're on the same side.

"What did you say? you didn't teach your bastard some manners and you're asking me of my conduct?!" Helena yelled furiously.

Shin scoffed, unaffected, this scene is like a repetition of a repeated repeat, how many times did they have a do-over of this scene since he was young?

"Son, why don't you sit next to mommy?" Eleanor smiled across Shin, seemingly detached from the commotion around her.

"Stay where you are or I won't show you any mercy." Shin grimace.

If not for his father, he would have long killed this crazy woman.

Helena Keir aside, Shin's stepmother is the foremost culprit why he deeply loathes women.

She was cruel and deceitful to him at a young age, however, when the matter about her son, Blaise Keir's legitimacy came to light, she had a mental breakdown and got even more obsessed with Allister Keir.

Since then, Eleanor Keir had a sudden change of treatment towards Shin for the shallow reason that he grew up looking more and more like his father.

However, all Shin Keir felt is disgust and hatred for her unmotherly affection.

As the scene dragged on, Helena Keir continued with her barrage of insults against Allister Keir, whilst Eleanor shifted her attention between the Father and son.

Calin couldn't be more upset, this isn't what she came for! and why is Shin Keir not paying her attention?

Shin smirked, this is the so-called esteemed and imperial noble family that the country looked up to?

A mad dog, a crazy woman, a father who dumped all the Keir matters to him and went on seclusion.
