18 Site of Fullness

The mist created from the scented herb grew even thicker and it made one harder to breath in the study of Liu Sheng. Once it was already uncomfortable to stay and after talking some more to Liu Sheng Xiao, Jiao Yu decided to leave.

On her way out of the entrance of Liu Sheng Xiao's study, she coincidentally bumped into the stern Tie Yi, who was on his way back. After greeting her, he was about to walk ahead but slowed down when he hear her saying, "Tie Yi must not let father out without guards and should be extra more careful as to not repeat what had happened."

Tie Yi eyes looked back but he saw her figure already walking away, hair swaying behind her. Tie Yi thought about something before continuing to walk towards his master's study.

Jiao Yu did not go back to her own courtyard and made a detour to go to Liu Sheng Xiao's.

The Eastern courtyard was guarded and there were several maids and servants stationed outside. (literally means: The family will be rich and as soon as a wish is pronounced, gold and silver will come pouring out.)

Jiao Yu walked over the courtyard and the people stationed outside immediately greeted her. It was not Jiao Yu's first time going inside Liu Sheng Xiao's courtyard, she had been going in and out whenever Liu Sheng Xiao's away or sick to lessen his work in the imperial court. A few hours later, Jiao Yu was still reading the documents on the table and felt that her eyes were already burning from reading too much. She was never that lazy in terms of reading other books with different contents but the things that she's reading right now made her yawn and almost fell asleep.

From outside, the door bursts open and a Jing Chu emerged, "Young lady, young lady..."

Jiao Yu looked up with a bored expression on, as if not caring whatever Jing Chu says and looked back towards the document left half read.

"What is Young lady doing?" She said.

"As you already can see... obviously, I'm reading." Jiao Yu blandly said.

"But Young lady... Why are you here reading, when Young lady Fan is coming to visit you?"

This time, Jiao Yu stilled and did not bother to read the next word written in the documents and left the documents open as she stood up and started to stride towards her courtyard.

A few days ago, she received numerous invitations and cards, which she did not read and some were left burning on the furnace however, out of all the cards she'd gotten, Fan Zi Yi's card that stated that she will be paying a visit soon, was the only one that had not gotten rejected by Jiao Yu.

And because of what happened yesterday and the return of Liu Sheng Xiao, she completely forgotten that today was the aforementioned day that Fan Zi Yi would be paying her a visit.

Early in the morning, Fan Zi Yi's horse carriage was in front of the doors of the Liu residence to pay a visit to Jiao Yu. The Fan family doted on Fan Zi Yi a lot, so since Zi Yi had already finished all the morning class in Xia Renmin, she was unable to stay in the residence and would go out shopping every day. "I have not heard from you for several days, yet here you are, just leisurely reading those boring books."

Jiao Yu's ear perked up as she hears the familiar cute tone from Fan Zi Yi's voice. Looking up to see Fan Zi Yi standing across her.

Fan Zi Yi wore a cherry blossom flowered beige dress, making her look extremely bright in spring. These days her appearance had matured and she was especially pretty. However when she opened her mouth to speak, the pretty appearance became somewhat playful.

Jiao Yu had already gone back to her courtyard to fix her dress and the coldness in her eyes were replaced by tranquility. She didn't really have to change her attire but because of the herb scent that stuck to her, she had to change.

"What are you looking at me for?" Fan Zi Yi saw Jiao Yu staring at her and did not know what she was thinking, thus she thought that Jiao Yu was still thinking about what happened during those past several days. She said exasperatedly, "Well, it's understandable for you to quit academy and also to not go out."

"With everyone's attention is on to you, You would feel more safer inside your own courtyard." Fan Zi Yi laughed behind her sleeves,

Before Jiao Yu recovered to her senses, she raised her brows and said, "It is not so. Whether it be inside or outside there will always be an accident."

Fan Zi Yi eye's were unfathomable as she stared at Jiao Yu, which made her a bit uncomfortable. Jiao Yu was already accustomed with Fan Zi Yi's duality, which was really difficult and impossible to understand.

However, she was never accustomed to the truth that Fan Zi Yi was born as a man.
