32 Information

The next morning I woke up to find that Genius was no longer in bed, I sat straight up and started looking around the room but he wasn't in here. That must mean he is out in the kitchen, so I got up and went into the bathroom, I took a shower then got dressed and walked to the kitchen. When I walked into the kitchen everyone was there and there was a new face, I stood at the door just watching everyone laugh and giggle. They were enjoying themselves and that meant a lot to me because I knew this wasn't going to be an easy road to take now that we were here. My grandmother looked up and noticed me standing there, " Artemis, there is someone I think that you should meet." So I walked over to the table and sat down beside Genius, he placed his hand on my thigh giving it a slight squeeze. I suddenly began to feel uncomfortable he never does that unless he is trying to comfort me, the man that I couldn't recognize was just staring at me which wasn't helping matters any.

My grandmother looked at me, " Artemis, I would like you to meet your granduncle Ares!" I must have looked shocked because my uncle Alcide walked over to me and kneeled down beside me. " Artemis, she isn't lying to you, this is here brother I just couldn't remember him till this morning when your grandmother returned the rest of my memories." I was confused, " Umm, I didn't even know you had a brother nobody ever told me that." My grandmother started laughing, " Sweet child your mother failed to tell you a lot so are you surprised by here withholding that I had a brother." She had a point, apparently, there was a lot that my mother hadn't told me and Zeus, " So why is he here? and why are we just now hearing about him?" But my grandmother wasn't the one that spoke, Ares stood up " I am here to train my nephew and your mate, that way they are properly prepared for the battle to come, while you and your brother train with my sister." So that is who she was talking about last night why am I not surprised. My grandmother stood up, " Now let's get this straight, yes Zeus and Artemis will be training with me but you will also be training with Ares as well as Alcide and Genius will be training with me I want you guys properly trained that way you're better off to defend yourself."

Genius looked confused, just as much as everyone else so he looked at my grandmother, " Um no offense but why do Alcide and I need to train with you neither of us has magical capabilities." My grandmother and her brother just threw their heads back and started laughing, Ares turned towards my grandmother, " Hera, these children really don't know anything do they?" She just started chuckling, " My dear brother, they have no clue about anything because their history and ours were never explained to them." I stood up slamming my hand on the table trying to get their attention, " Well then maybe you should enlighten us instead of laughing at us." Ares was taken back by what I did, " Hera I do believe we have our fighter out of the bunch, god she reminds me of my niece." Hera turned towards her brother, " Yes, we do and yes she is almost completely like her mother but not." He just shook his head as if he understood what she meant by that, then she turned towards the group, " Alcide is my son, so of course, he has magical abilities but he does take after his father more so then me, but he does have some magic in him that he hasn't used since he was a child."

We looked over to my uncle why wouldn't he tell us any of that he must have known that, before I could speak he stood up, " Before you say anything, please remember I couldn't remember my past so of course, I wouldn't remember me having powers." Well, he had a point there so I couldn't be angry with him for that because it isn't his fault. I just stared back at my grandmother but she wasn't the one that spoke this time which was becoming irritating because none of us knew him at all. " As for your mate Genius, you do realize that you two are mated now and Artemis you share your power with your mate, so he now has the ability to use some magic if he chooses, and with the battle to come we want him trained just in case he needs to use those powers." But before I could speak again my grandmother held her hand up, " Look, child, other then Ares and myself you are the most powerful in the room, actually, by the time you have completed all of your training you will be stronger than us but remember we have been around a long time so we know a lot of things that will help you along the way so please don't argue just listen."

I went to argue with her but Genius just placed his hand on my shoulder I turned towards him and he just shook his head no. Why is everyone taking this so easy I am so damn confused as to what is going on and they are just sitting here like everything is ok. As of if my grandmother read my mind, " Artemis, look I know this is all hard to understand right now but I promise you will learn all about our family and what that means, once your mated you share a lot with one another I don't expect you to understand because none of you have been properly trained on your histories as a wolf or as an enchantress and enchanter." I sat back down I wasn't sure if I should say anything else at this point because I don't think it would do a lot of good to talk. But Zeus stood up and looked at grandmother, " So when does all of this training begin?" She walked over placing a hand on each of his shoulders, " My dear Zeus, the training that we will be doing will be starting tonight, but I do have books for you and your sister to read until then so that maybe you guys can better understand everything."

She turned towards Alcide and Genius, " As for you two, your training starts right now." Ares just smiled, " Follow me, boys, we will be going outside for some physical training today." Genius stood up kissed me on top of my head, " I love you, princess, remember you can do this no matter what." I just smiled at him, then he turned and walked out the door with Alcide and Ares. I turned towards grandma Hera, " Will they be ok?" She just smiled, " O they will be ok a little beat up but ok none the less, now you two follow me to the den you have a lot of reading to do before tonight." I turned towards Zeus, " Squirt, it will be ok there is a lot that none of us understand right now but the only way to understand it all is to do what she says, mom wouldn't have sent us to her if it wasn't important." I knew he was right but this was just a lot to take it couldn't she give us some time to process all of the information she just gave us before she started piling more into our heads that could confuse us more than we already are.

But there was no use in arguing because she was already heading to the den with Zeus right on her tail, I don't understand how he is remaining calm about all of this. Now is the perfect time for him to freak the hell out, but he isn't he is just I don't know, but I got up and followed them to the den. When I entered the den there had to be like a hundred books just piled up on the table, I looked at my grandma " You want us to read all of those before tonight?" She just turned and smiled then walked out the door, she has to be out of her mind that's it completely out of her mind. I looked at Zeus, " There is no way in hell we are reading all of this by tonight." He just shook his head, " Artemis, you are such a pessimist if you would quit talking and get over here and sit down we could get started." I just shook my head but I walked over to the table where all the books were, she had paper and pencils everywhere. Apparently she wanted us to take notes to, this was going to be exhausting this is a lot to read, I am looking at some of the titles on the books but one caught my eye more than the other so I picked it up and on the front of the book it said "Cage family history" Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all, I pulled the chair out and began to read the book zoning out anything else around me.
