29 Hera's Words

The next morning I had awaken to hearing my grandmother's words, I sat up to find Genius was still fast asleep. I thought maybe I was dreaming but I heard her again, my body started moving on it's own, opening the door before heading down the hall and into the kitchen where my grandmother sat with a cup of coffee in front of her and one sitting on the table across from her. I pulled the chair out and sat down, " Grandma are we the only ones up?" She looked at me, " Artemis, right now me and you need to talk before I wake your brother there is much to discuss before I wake him." I nodded, I had a feeling that I wasn't going to like what she was about to say but I knew it was important. She let out a breath before speaking, "Artemis, I want to apologize to you first, had I know that your mother kept all of this from you I would have had her bring you to me." I just looked at her confused, " It isn't your fault that my mother hide things from me and lied." She just shook her head some more, " That is where you are wrong, if I had kept in touch with her over the centuries then I would have known, but I focused so much on protecting here that I left her alone in all of this. Artemis, do you realize how important you are?" I just shook my head no, fearing my voice wouldn't remain strong if I were to speak, she looked upset. " Artemis, you are stronger than you think you are, you are stronger than your mother, and eventually you will be stronger than me, yes you have the power of enchantress in you but also the power of a alpha in you. Those to make a very strong connection, but your weakness is your brother always has been always will be."

I was confused, " How can Zeus be my weakness?" She sat back in her seat for a moment before speaking, " Do you remember how I said that you two have a connection but we weren't sure exactly how you were connected?" I nodded, " Well your brother has blood of a enchantress in him as well, males are known as enchanters, but because you guys share a close bond it can be dangerous if one of you were to be harmed." I was even more confused now then before, " Ok but how I still am not understanding?" She held her hand up instructing me to stop, " Let me finish before you start asking questions, your brother and your bond is unique not a lot of half siblings have this bond it is rare, you have the ability to share energies among other things, like I said before I haven't seen a bond like this between siblings ever." She paused for a moment before speaking again, " There is much to learn about the bond between you guys, but that will require training from both of you but we will get to that in a moment, how much has your mother told you about your powers?" I looked at her, " Honestly not much, my wolf Violet has helped me more then anything." My grandmother raised her eyebrow, " Your wolf has been the one helping you?" I nodded, then my grandmother spoke a few words, then I started feeling funny, then this purple haze formed beside me in the chair and I could see a human with deep violet eyes sitting next to me, she was beautiful she had light purple hair, porcelain skin, and the most beautiful smile I had ever seen. The lady turned towards me, " Well Artemis, nice to see you I am Violet." My mouth fell wide open, " But your not my wolf your human."

My grandmother started laughing, " I can see your mother failed to tell you a lot huh." Violet started chuckling, " Hera, she hasn't taught this child anything I have been doing my best but unfortunately I can't do much with her not knowing everything either." My grandmother nodded, " Violet, you have grown much since I had seen you last!" I was so confused, " Wait, how do you know her? How is she appearing in human form, what is going on?" My grandmother turned toward me, " Sweet child, your wolf can change forms just like you, you can turn into her wolf form correct, she can take over your body in human form if need be." Violet turned towards me, " As for how she knows me well when you were a child before either of us knew how to control our power we had a outburst one time and well Hera here brought me out to inform me of what was going to happen with them sealing your powers away it meant that they had to seal your wolf side away to." That actually made a lot of sense now, Hera turned towards me, " Child I want you to know that you and Violet have a lot to learn before your fully ready to protect yourself and your pack."

"But before we can train I must tell you Artemis, you are the strongest from our family, that is why we had to seal Violet and your power away till you were older, your mother was suppose to sit down and let you know about all of this but I see she has not and you two have been struggling." She spoke a few silent words, that is when my brother appeared from behind her rubbing his eyes, he came and sat down at the table, " What's going on and who is that?" He was pointing at Violet, She just smiled at him, �� Hi Zeus, nice to meet you I am Violet." Zeus's mouth fell open before turning towards me, " That is your wolf, she is wow." I started laughing, " Ok, what is going on Artemis? Why are we the only ones up?" I looked at him placing my hand on his, " Well grandmother has some information she is trying to share with us and felt that it was a good time to wake us to share it." He turned towards our grandmother, " Well what's going on?" She lowered her head, " Zeus you and your sister are connected in a way that I am not even sure how to explain at the moment, you have a bond that most half siblings don't share hell not even full blooded siblings have." Zeus cut her off, " I know we have a bond she is my sister and I will protect her with my life."

My grandmother held up her hand silencing Zeus, " My dear boy, have you not felt the connection you have with your sister, how can you not notice. Zeus have you ever noticed that you are the first one to always know where your sister is and what she is feeling kinda like her mate does but not on that level." Zeus hung his head, " Ya but I thought that was just because we were family." My grandmother grabbed his hands, " No that is only part of it, you two have a deep connection, I am not quite sure what it is or how it fits into all this but I am hoping once we start training we can figure it out together." She released his hand before turning towards us both, " But there is a prophecy that speaks of the battle to come, as well as two siblings one will give their life to save the other, it also speaks of the sibling that passes will give it's strength to the other in order to save the pack." She stopped speaking, " Wait your telling us that one of us will die during this battle?" Zeus placed his hand on mine before closing his eyes to speak, " So what your saying is one of us won't make it through the battle but gives the other the extra strength needed to survive."

My grandmother spoke again, " Yes, but just because this is said in the prophecy doesn't mean that it has to happen, yes most prophecies do come true but not always I am hoping we can avoid this one at all costs." " We still have much to discuss but I will allow you time to process this little bit of information before telling you everything later tonight." She went to get up from the table but I had to ask her something before she left, " Grandmother I have a question?" She sat back down looking at Violet then to me, " Is there a way to mess with the mate mark and bond?" She looked surprised she said a few silent words sending Violet away, " Why do you ask child?" I looked down at the table that is when Zeus squeezed my hand, " Well I was in the forest one day back at home, and a man appeared telling me that he was my father, but mom said our father died when we tried to escape and she felt the bond break so I am confused." My grandmother let out a breath, " Yes, Artemis there is a way to manipulate a mate mark and bond but it takes a powerful enchantress or enchanter to be able to do something like that." I looked at Zeus, " So is there a possibility that was our father?" My grandmother sat there for a moment, " I can not say for sure at the moment but I will do some digging and see if I can come up with anything, in the meantime I want you guys to go back and rest for awhile before we wake everyone up to eat before we speak some more." We went to protest but she held her hand up speaking this language I had no clue causing me and my brother to start walking to our room again and then to bed we went.
