27 Cann Wood Forest part 2

I woke to hearing the leaves rustling outside of our tent, I looked over at Genius and he was still sound asleep. So I laid there hoping that maybe it was just a animal passing by but the leaves began to rustle more and more which made me worry a little more. So I nudged Genius and he slowly opened his eyes, " What princess?" I just stared at him, " Do you hear that?′ He laid their for a moment before sitting up, " What is that?" I sat up, " I don't know babe but maybe we should check it out together." With that we both unzipped the tent peeking our head out of the tent but we didn't see anything so we got out of our tent and walked over to Zeus and Alcide's tent. " Zeus, Alcide are you in there?" We heard moving around in the tent when we seen two heads pop out of the tent. " What's going on Artemis?" Zeus and I looked at one another before looking back at them, " We heard the leaves moving outside of our tent." They both walked out of the tent and started to look around but they couldn't see anything either.

I wasn't sure what that noise was but it made me nervous, I was feeling uneasy for some reason, " Well I guess we should pack up and start walking towards the entrance." They all nodded in agreement, so we all packed up our tents and covered up the fire that we started last night. Genius turned towards Alcide, " Well you have to lead the way remember." Alcide nodded tilting his nose up in the air to get a whiff then he started walking straight forward he continued on this path for what seemed like forever before he took a sharp right turn. We followed him for hours before we came to a complete stop, he turned towards me " Artemis were here but I can't see anything, do you feel anything around us that could be stopping us from see it." I just stood there for a moment, before closing my eyes trying to feel out around us but the only spot I sensed something was right in front of us. So I walked forward placing my hands in front of me until they rested upon a invisible barrier, I sent out a energy to open a door but it wouldn't budge.

I looked back at the boys, " There is a barrier here but I can't get through this one right now, maybe my magic isn't strong enough to penetrate this one." They looked at each other before turning back towards me, " Well if you can't get through that means your grandmother has to be somewhere around here right?" I just nodded I knew that she was here but I had no way of knowing where or if this would be a good thing or a bad thing. I turned toward Alcide, " Alcide can you come here really quick I want to try something?" Alcide did without hesitation, I grabbed his hand before grabbing the knife out of my pocket. His eyes got wide, " Artemis what are you doing?" I just ignored him before slicing his palm, then I placed his hand on the barrier with mine on top, this time I was trying to send a signal not open a door. I was hoping that with her son's blood she might be more keen on talking rather then fighting. I closed my eye's focusing on sending a signal around the barrier allowing Alcide's blood to pool around the outside of the barrier before sending it around the barrier. I followed through the barrier when I hit something or someone causing me to jump back to where I was, I opened my eyes letting Alcide's hand go. I turned to all three of them, " Well if she didn't know we were here a moment ago she knows now."

They all looked at one another before Zeus turned towards me, " What do you mean squirt?" I just looked back at the barrier, " Well I sent out a signal using Alcide's blood around and through the barrier, but I got sent back when I hit someone or something with the energy I was using to do this, so I can only assume that this is grandmother." I turned back around to see them all just staring at me, Alcide was wrapping his hand up, " Artemis, does that mean we have trouble coming our way?" I just stood there for a moment, would she really try to fight us, " I honestly don't know Alcide, maybe we should just wait her and hope that she wants to talk with us instead of hurting us." I honestly didn't know if the blood thing would work but I knew I had to try something to get her attention I am just hoping I didn't make things worse before they even got started.

I stood their for a moment before speaking into my mind, " Violet, did you sense the same thing I did?" I stood their waiting for a reply from her, it took a few moments before I heard anything. " Artemis, we really do need to work on you sensing abilities don't we!" I just shook my head, " I know that why do you think were all the way out here, for me to train more, but you didn't answer the question." I sat there for a few moments, " Artemis, whatever you touched with our magic is very old and powerful I don't know if it was your grandmother but she knows were here now." Damn I knew I was right but I couldn't sense her power or that she was old I just bumped into something with my power and it got sent back. I turned towards Genius, " Babe whatever happens next you are to just sit back do not try to get in the middle of it I don't want you getting hurt promise me." Genius walked up to me wrapping his arms around me pulling me closer, " Princess, I will not make that promise because if your in danger I will do what I have to." I just shook my head I knew he would say that I don't know why I tried to convince him otherwise.

Zeus looked at me, " Artemis, what should we do now?" I looked at him, " The only thing we can do right now is wait." Alcide looked at me, " Well we should set up camp, we don't know when she is going to come but we do know that she will." We all nodded in agreement, we all sat our tents up, Genius looked at all of us, " We should go hunting so that we can get a good meal in before this whole thing starts." We all started stripping our clothes off, before shifting into our wolves, we ran as a pack through the forest until we all spotted some deer. Alcide and Zeus were the first to take off, then Genius and I followed we each caught our own deer carrying it back to the campsite with us. Once we dropped all of our kills we all shifted back getting dressed, I turned toward all of the boys, " Well you guys better get the stripped and everything looks like were going to be having deer for awhile." They all started laughing, but they did they got the deer ready to be cooked, Genius cooked for me I was sitting down on one of the logs that they had drug over zoned out.

I wasn't paying much attention to the boys, I was more focused on when she would show herself, I had a feeling she was watching us but she probably wasn't going to make a move until we least expected it. Which is what made it so much worse, I sat there for hours trying to figure out how or when this would happen. But I was giving myself a headache trying to figure this out, that is when Genius tapped me on my shoulder snapping me out of my head, " Princess, are you ok?��� I just smiled up at my mate, " Yes, just got lost in thought." He handed me a stick with a leg from one of the deer's on it, I took a bite out of it not saying much at all. Genius placed his hand on my thigh causing me to look at him, " Artemis, please don't worry there isn't anything we can do right now but wait for her to come to us." I knew he was right but I had a bad feeling this wasn't going to be the reunion we wanted it to be. I ate my food in silence, before laying by the fire staring up at the sky, I didn't notice that the boys had did the same. Zeus finally spoke, " Do you think she will try to kill us?"

Alcide closed his eyes, " I honestly don't know I haven't seen my mother in so long, but if she is anything like my sister said then we should just be prepared for the worst just in case." I knew it was true but I couldn't help but be hopeful that this wouldn't turn out as horrible as it felt, we just laid there for hours waiting but nothing happened. It started to get dark so we all sat up and just started joking and laughing, I sat there and watched all of their smiles and it made my heart skip a beat. I loved everyone of these boys, and I will do whatever it take to protect them, I would die if something happened to them........
