26 Cann Wood Forest Part 1

I woke up when the plane started to shake a little more than normal, I looked up to see Genius awake the turbulence must have woke him up as well. I turned to see if Zeus and Alcide were still asleep but they were wide awake too, I have never been on a plane with this much turbulence before it was making me really nervous. I turned my head up towards Genius, " Babe what's going on why is there so much turbulence are we in a storm?" He looked down at me, " I honestly don't know we haven't heard anything from the captain." I sat up turning toward Zeus and Alcide, " Do either of you two know why there is so much turbulence?" They both shook their heads no, great nobody knew what was going on, I got off a Genius fixing my shirt before turning towards the captain's pit. Once I reached the captain's pit I knocked on the door once, but he didn't answer so I knocked again, still no answer. So I tried to open the door but it was locked, O boy this isn't good, I turned towards the boys. " Umm, he isn't answering and the door is locked so what are we suppose to do exactly?" All of their eyes became wide, but Alcide was the first to speak, " Well we are gonna have to open that door." Without hesitation, Genius walked over there grabbing the door and ripping it off of its hinges, what the hell I didn't know he could do that.

But I didn't have time to gawk over Genius, I walked into the captain's pit, but what I found wasn't what I expected. Our captain was unconscious which means that nobody is flying this plane, I turned toward the boy's " Um we have a problem." They all came into the pit slowly when they saw the captain wasn't conscious, Daniel turned towards me " What do we do now?" That was a good question, " Alcide, can you tell if we are over the cann wood forest in England or not?" Alcide stepped forward looking around before he turned back towards us, " Ya were directly over it which would explain quite a bit actually." We all looked at him confused, " What do you mean?" He looked at me, " Well Artemis if you think about it if my mom is still alive and were flying over the forest and now our pilot is unconscious and we have a crap ton of turbulence wouldn't that mean that she has some sort of barrier or something up to protect that entrance." Honestly, that made a lot more sense then I thought it was going to. Genius turned towards me, " Well if she put up a barrier shouldn't you be able to create a hole or something in it allowing the plane to go through it?"

That was a good question, one that I didn't have the answer to, " I honestly don't know Genius, I am not as powerful as my grandmother, so I don't see how I could break through the barrier at all." That is when I heard Violet laughing in my head, " Artemis do you really think that our grandmother is stronger, no sweetheart she isn't." That shocked me, " What do you mean she is a lot older than me with a lot more experience than me." I heard Violet start laughing again, " None of those reasons means she is stronger than you it just means that she has the experience, Artemis we are one of the strongest beings of our kind, why do you think that everyone was hiding us and protecting us." I thought about it for a moment, is she right are we the strongest of our kind right now, Alcide must have known something because he walked over to me placing an arm on both shoulders. " Artemis you are stronger then you think you are, just try it because honestly your our only hope at this point." Great no pressure Zeus and Genius just gave me a warm smile, I guess I could try.

I looked at them " ok I can try but you know once I do this it will let her know that we are here." They all nodded, so I stepped closer to the front windows of the plane placing my hands on them. Then I closed my eyes concentrating trying to find the energy from the barrier once I located the barrier I focused on a hole appearing in the barrier big enough to allow the plane through. I focused as hard as I could then I could feel Violet there helping me guiding me, after what seemed like forever I managed to open a hole in the barrier allowing the plane to start inching through. I kept concentrating Violet and I's energy till the plane was through, once the plane was completely through I allowed the barrier to close behind the plane. I opened my eyes turning back towards the boys, they were all smiling from ear to ear, Genius walked over to me " See princess, we knew you could do it." I just smiled before turning back towards our captain, he was slowly waking up. So I kneeled next to him placing my hand on his shoulder allowing my energy to pass into him, once I did that he fully woke up. " What's going on? Why are you guys in here." I just looked at him I felt horrible that this happened to him, " A lot has happened but your safe, we will grab our parachutes and jump out the plane now, once we do I want you to continue to the airport and then go to the hotel that we picked out we will call you when we are ready."

He looked confused but nodded, I stood up looking at the boys, " Well let's get our things, we have a long adventure ahead." Zeus laughed " You would call it an adventure squirt, but ya let's get going." With that we all headed back to the back part of the plane, we started grabbing everything we needed. Genius walked over to me " Are you ready to strap on to me?" I just nodded I have never sky jumped before so I felt safer jumping with Genius because he has done this before so I knew I would be safe. Alcide opened the back part of the plane before shouting at us, "Ok everyone this is it." Then he just ran and jumped out the plane, then Zeus followed but Genius walked us over to the edge before looking down at me, " Alright princess let's go." Then he jumped we were falling straight down and it was the scariest most exciting thing that I have ever done. I looked up and Genius pulled our parachute allowing us to safely drop to the ground so we weren���t injured. Alcide and Zeus were already on the ground stripping their parachutes, Genius unbuckled me from him before he stripped off our parachute as well. I got my backpack situated on my back then I turned toward Alcide, " Do you remember any of this?"

He looked at me with a serious face, " Artemis, I only remember bits and pieces so I don't know how much help I will be." I just smiled, " Alcide you forget you're a wolf sometimes don't you?" He just smiled then started laughing, " That is the same thing Dominic just said in my head." I have never heard my uncle say his wolf's name but I was glad that he was opening up, " Well ask Dominic if he smells a familiar scent anywhere around here?" Alcide tilted his nose up taking a big breath of air before looking back at me, " I know which direction to head but I don't know how far we are going to have to walk before we reach the entrance." Genius turned toward me, " Well I guess we can start walking in the direction then when it gets dark we can set up camp until morning." I nodded knowing that was probaly what was best even though I didn't want to stop, but I knew I would need the rest once we met up with grandmother. I turned toward Alcide, " Well lead the way." Alcide started walking to the right of us and continuing straight, I don't know what laid ahead of us but I know with these three beside me we could get through anything together. We started following Alcide for what seemed like hours when he came to a stop, he turned towards us " It is getting dark we will set up camp here then continue in the morning." We all nodded, the boys got the tents and fire going while I looked around at everything, it was beautiful out here despite the reason we were here. Once everything was set up Alcide and Genius went into their tent, Genius walked over to me " Princess we need to lay down, you need all the rest you can get."

I allowed him to lead me to our tent, then we laid down on our sleeping bag, " Genius do you think my grandmother will remember us?" He sat up on his elbow staring at me, " Artemis I honestly don't know but if anyone can convince her that you guys are family it is you now get some rest please." With that, I laid against Genius and he wrapped his arms around me I stared at the top of our tent for a long time before my eyes finally became heavy. I allowed myself to succumb to the darkness behind my eyes, drifting off into a deep sleep.
