25 Leaving

Genius and I walked into our room, Genius went and grabbed the suitcases from the closet so that we could pack our things, I was becoming increasingly nervous about this. I never got the chance to meet my grandmother and now I not only have to meet her she has to train me on something I never thought existed. Genius realized I was just standing there and walked up to me, wrapping his big arms around my tiny body, " Artemis, I know that you are nervous so am I but you are the strongest woman I know if anyone can make it through this it's you." I turned my head just enough to look at him, " I know but what if my grandmother doesn't recognize me or Alcide?" Genius spun me around to look at him, " Princess, I don't believe that she could have forgotten about her own son, and even if she doesn't recognize you guys you will make her believe that's just who you are." I guess he was right, " Go make sure the boys are ready and can you carry the bags down to the office I will meet everyone down there in a second I just need a minute." Genius without saying anything else kissed me on top of my head before grabbing our suitcases and heading downstairs.

Now I just needed to talk to Violet, we haven't spoken much here lately; " Violet can you hear me?" I waited a moment before she said anything " Well well well look who knows how to talk now." I knew she was upset with me I had been neglecting her without realizing it. " I am so sorry Violet, I just forgot with everything going on, I truly am sorry for not speaking to you more." I heard her laugh in my head, " Artemis it is ok I was just messing with you I know that you are still getting used to hearing me and being in a pack this is all new to you I don't expect you to talk with me all day and ignore your duties as queen." I just smiled, " I know but still we are one and I need to be a little bit more considerate when it comes to you, can you forgive me?" I waited a moment " Yes I forgive you." Thank the moon goddess for that, " Violet, I am really nervous about this training that I have to do, what if I can't catch on to it?" " Artemis, you are stronger then you give yourself credit for, and don't forget I will be here with you the entire time, we will become closer and more bonded together through the training it is just natural for us to do so." I just smiled, " Well I guess it is time for us to go downstairs."

With that, I turned around walking toward my bedroom door but before I opened it I felt a sharp pain in my stomach, I heard Violet " Artemis something is wrong with Genius." I flung the door open running down the stairs and into the office when I opened the door, what I saw I wasn't sure what to do laugh or punch the shit out of these dumbasses. They were wrestling a little too hard in my office because the whole office was destroyed Zeus had a hammer in his hand and Genius was hunched over holding his stomach. They both turned towards the office door and when they saw it was me there eyes got very wide, " Squirt, let me explain first." I didn't give him time to speak, I walked over grabbing the hammer from his hand and hitting him right in the lower right side of his stomach where I felt the pain causing him to hunch over in pain. " Now we're even you ass." Alcide and Daniel fell out of the chairs laughing, Genius walked over kissing me on the forehead but he wasn't getting off that easy I dropped the hammer on his foot causing him to jump up and down on one foot. Yes, it hurt me but not as much as it hurt him, " Now do you two want to explain why the hell my office is destroyed and why you had a hammer in your hand?" Alcide got up from the floor, " Well we had a bet on who stomach was stronger out of Zeus and Genius."

I just shook my head did he really just say what I think he said, that is when I heard Violet laughing, " Yes my dear he did in fact just say that." I turned toward Zeus and Genius, " So you two thought it was a great idea to hit one another with the hammer to see who's stomach was stronger?" They both nodded in agreement, I wasn't sure whether to hit them again or laugh, so instead, I did nether. " Ok, well I guess you both lost then because I felt the pain and didn't even buckle." Their mouths fell open, Alcide and Daniel again fell over laughing, Daniel was the first to say something, " You two just got your asses kicked by a girl." Genius just looked upset, " Well how about you come over here and let her hit you with it and see if you can do better." Daniel started shaking his head, " I am not that dumb." That caused me to laugh, " He does have a point, boys." They just both looked down at the ground, " Ok enough horsing around we have a long flight ahead of us you know that right." I turned toward Alcide, " Did you get the plane ready to go?" Alcide stood up wiping the tears from his face, " Yes the plane is fueled and ready to go with our most trusted pilot waiting on us."

I turned toward Daniel, " Are you sure that you can handle this while we are gone?" Daniel acted offended after I said that, " You don't trust me to handle the pack?" I punched his arm, " It��s not that I don't trust you, I just want to make sure that your ok with all the responsibility that comes with it." He just smiles " Artemis, I got this you don't have to worry and I have Dream and Jade here to help me if I get lost along the way." I had forgotten all about their mates for a moment so I mind-linked them, " Dream and Jade can you come to the office please." I waited a few moments before I got a response, " Yes queen." I looked at Daniel again, " Ok Daniel but I am so serious if anything goes wrong I need you to get ahold of one of us immediately or have the girls or James do it but please just promise me you will keep everyone safe while we're gone because I don't know how long we will be gone." Daniel walked over to me wrapping me in a hug, " Artemis, I promise you that if something happens I will get ahold of you immediately and if it gets really bad I will send James to find you ok." I just smiled then I heard a knock on the door, " Come in."

In walked Dream and Jade my two lovely older sisters, I walked over to them giving them a hug, which they reciprocated. Dream pulled me away a little, " Well not that I don't appreciate the hug, but why did you call us in here you guys have to get going don't you?" I just smiled at them, " Well a couple of things actually one I wanted to see you before we take off and two I have a really big favor to ask you?" I turned toward Daniel smiling he just nodded know what I was going to do next, " Will you guys be Daniels beta and delta while we are gone so that he has people he can trust to help him while we three are away?" They both looked shocked Jade just smile, " Artemis are you sure that you don't want James to have one of those positions he would be better suited for that?" Dream looked at me, " Ya I have to agree with Jade on this one." I just shook my head, " You guys don't give yourselves enough credit, you guys already know how everything operates around here, as for James no he is the bodyguard for you guys while we are away."

They both smiled giving me a big hug and in unison, they both spoke, " OMG thank you Artemis we won't let you down I promise." I just smiled, " I know you guys won't now go say you're goodbyes we will be leaving in a moment it is a long flight and we have to go." They let go of me before heading over to the guys, I turned to look at everyone, " Violet, how did we get so lucky to get a family like this?" I heard her chuckle, " I don't know but I am grateful we have them to count on with all of this going on, this more than enough reason for us to fight through and become stronger so none of them get hurt." With that I had to agree with her, we had to become stronger so that we can protect all of them and the rest of the pack, I wasn't sure what was coming but I knew it was going to be bad. They are our family and I will protect them with every ounce of my strength, " Ok Daniel, Dream, and Jade while we are gone make sure everyone is taken care of, you know where the safe room is if anything goes wrong to get everyone inside, the barrier should be ok while I am gone, if I sense anything around it I will contact you guys immediately, Daniel have James see if he can find any more of our pack or anyone that has been kicked out of theirs and if you guys feel you can trust them then bring them back here but remember everyone trust your instincts no matter what if your gut is telling you something listen to it I won't be here this time to help."

They nodded letting me know they all understood Jade and Daniel left the room first, Dream gave Zeus a kiss before leaving. I turned toward the boys, " Are you guys ready for this trip?" They all nodded, we left the office heading to the airport not too far from our home, I was getting more nervous the closer we got to this plane. But before we got on the plane Genius came up behind me wrapping his arms around me and leaning in to whisper, " Babe everything will be fine you are strong and you have a family with you." I just smiled I knew he was right but I was still nervous, we all board the plane getting in our seats. We sat there for what seemed like an eternity before the plane took off, now reality was setting in, we were actually on our way to meet our grandmother. I hope she remembers Alcide because if not I don't know how well this will go because mother said grandmother was strong, which makes me nervous if she doesn't recognize him will she try to fight us. I turned to see what the boys were doing, Alcide and Zeus were already asleep in their seats, I turned toward Genius who was sitting next to me, he just looked at me at smiled, " Princess, you need to rest tomorrow is going to be a busy day, come here and lay on my chest." I couldn't argue with that, I need to feel his body against my own maybe it would help me relax a little bit, and as if he knew exactly what I needed he wrapped his arms around me waiting for me to relax my head on his chest and I somehow became instantly relaxed causing me to drift to sleep in his arms.
