8 Warrior Selection
The next morning we all awoke in the forest surrounded by the beautiful trees, I mind linked "everyone time to go home I have some training to complete, then after that, there will be warrior selections. Those of you who think that they are the best and will battle Alcide, or one of the leaders the ones that fight the best will be the bodyguards and help train the rest of the pack alongside us." With that said we all started running home, once home we all transformed back into our human form before going inside. Genius and I went upstairs to change, but it seems Genius had different ideas because soon as our door closed he picked me up and carried me to our bed. Now I knew I was blushing because Zeus fell on the ground laughing " Shut up Zeus, at least he can make me scream, I have heard your mate yell not once, are we coming up short in that area is that why your upset." As soon as I finished my sentence Genius, Alcide and Daniel all fell on the ground laughing, Zeus, however, was not and he was not blushing. Finally, Alcide was able to stand up without laughing he turned toward me " Now I remember why you were my favorite Artemis, but enough games now we start your training."
I have no clue why but that terrified me I haven't trained with my uncle since before he left us all those years ago. But I accepted the challenge because now I had a whole pack to protect not just myself, Alcide stepped closer to me " Now, Art, I need you to come at me with everything you have don't hold back let you instinct take over allow you and your wolf to become one, that is the only way you will beat me." I just smile and that is when I heard Violet "HaHa, we shall show him, Artemis close your eyes and imagine us becoming one completely, I am you and you are me." Alcide was the first to speak " Artemis, you do not need training for fighting you are unbelievable I guess a lot of the training from when you were little stuck." Then Zeus " But on another note, you do know that you have wolves ears and a wolf tail, I have never seen anything like it before squirt." Genius walked up to me " Baby you were impressive, but Zeus is right why is only part of your wolf showing." I just stared at them for a moment before reaching on top of my head to find that my wolf ears were out. Then I heard Violet " Artemis, this is what happens when we become wolf you are human with wolf features it is one of the amazing powers we possess."
I was able to answer all the boy's questions at once now " Violet says this is what happens when I and she become one, it's one of our many powers." Alcide thought for a moment " O ya I remember your mother saying something about you would be able to do that before I don't know why it didn't come to me before, but you are in no need of fight training, the training you need only Violet can provide now." I smiled " Well, then everyone we have another task to complete are we ready?" Everyone nodded so I mind linked the pack members " Everyone it is time children stay inside, if you are 16 and up you are required to come outside and meet me in the field." Shortly after that everyone came out I already knew that James was going to be on the bodyguard team because we have already fought, but I wanted him to fight Alcide before deciding one hundred percent.
Once everyone was outside I nodded for Alicide to proceed for the first part of the session, Alcide walked in front of everyone " Hi, everyone those of you that don't know who I am my name is Alcide, I am Artemis's uncle, now we will proceed with the fights, those of you worthy enough will be chosen for the pack's bodyguard team, the rest you will train hard just in case we ever have to defend our domain or protect our queen." Everyone cheered before forming a circle for the warrior selections to begin, like I thought James was the first one up, he didn't waste any time he immediately rushed Alcide, honestly he almost got him on the ground but Alcide know all the tricks, but Alcide did end up with a black eye at the end of the battle. I nodded for Zeus to go in and replace Alcide that way he could rest in between fights.
The next one that stepped up was David he tried a different approach instead of jumping straight on Zeus he slides between his legs than did a spin kick knocking Zeus on his front half, David thought that would be the end of it but Zeus heel kicked him dropping him down as well, that's when David decided to punch Zeus hard enough to make his lip bleed. I could tell Zeus was not expecting that and so could David, he immediately put Zeus in a choke hold but that was enough to stop Zeus, Zeus head-butted him making his nose bleed before kicking his knee out and locking his ankle up in a hold causing David to tap out.
I nodded for Zeus to go over by Alcide the Daniel went in the next one that entered the circle was Juanita, David's wife. She went straight in towards Daniel kicking Daniel straight in the stomach before spinning around and kicking him in the face. She was good she might actually get Daniel out, but Daniel immediately spun around punching Juanita directly in her eye causing her eye to swell up. Juanita stubbled back for a second before slide and kicking Daniel's knee out from under him when she got him in a choke hold then wrapped her legs around him until Daniel tapped.
I nodded for Daniel to leave the circle then I entered, that's when I noticed that Zeus's mate Dream had entered the circle, well this should be interesting. We circled each other for a second before she came running after me she went to punch me but I moved to the side grabbing her arm spinning into her catching her eye with my elbow. Her eye immediately started bleeding, which made her angry because the next thing I knew she was on my back trying to choke me out. But I was not going I fell back on top of her before rotating my body so that I was facing her, then I started landing elbows. That's when Dream she wrapped her legs around my head and grabbed her foot she was trying to choke me out. So I picked her up slamming her on the ground until she released the moment she released I started punching her repeatedly until she tapped on the ground.
She walked out of the circle and I stayed because I knew that Daniels mate was going to be the next to try, I was correct because she didn't just walk into the circle, she came running directly towards me before jumping behind me kicking me in the back of my knee making me buckle. Then she went to elbow me on top of my head but I was prepared I spun around with my leg knocking her on the ground that's when I put her leg into a leg lock causing her to tap immediatly I had her leg so tight if she wouldn't have tapped I would have broken it. The warrior fights went on for a while before I called it quits.
At the end that's when I spoke ok so the ones that made the cut are James, David, Juanita, Dream, Jade, Prometheus. These our are elite warriors, they will train the rest of you as well as the children. Everyone cheered, I had made Daniel, and Zeus get a bonfire going that way the pack could relax around the fire, so we all sat around the fire. Genius and I were cuddled up next to each other listening to our pack members tell their stories. I stood up " I want to thank you all for coming home =, and being so supportive now enjoy the festivities my mate and I are going for a swim in the pool before going to bed." I looked at Genius but that is when he stood up, "Well princess not quite yet, I wanted to do this in front of the whole pack." I was confused "Do what?" He just smiled at me " Artemis Cage, I have loved you from the first time I saw you, we became best friends, but somewhere along the way I fell in love with you, I always knew that we would be mates even though I could not tell you about who I was true."
